“I paid for tutor details and his name and references did not match up and all he did was try to make me pay for him to write the coursework rather than actually tutor me which is what I paid for!”

“The service was good, sorted out a tutor response quickly so gives piece of mind and we were able to set tutoring up immediately. After you have the tutors details you then have to pay £19.99”

“The site is good however, it's disappointing when the tutor turns up and is poor and unable to teach at the level specified - this makes the process quite expensive as i paid £25 for the release of his details.”

“First Tutors is an excellent way to find a tutor, very straightforward and reliable. We have used the site twice now and could very quickly see the qualifications and experience of the different tutors as well as how many miles away they were. This has meant that both times we have been able to find excellent tutors just right for our child's needs.”

“The website is easy to use and finding tutors near you is a fast simple process. Once you have purchased a tutors details however, you can no longer communicate with them through First Tutors. This is frustrating as First Tutors has been your only method of contact to that point. Attempting to access messages with your tutor via the menus, results in you being redirected to the log in page this happens on a loop.”

Dear Adam, Thank you for your feedback. The reason you can't communicate via the system once you purchase the tutor's contact details is because the request has been confirmed (payment made) and our system sends you the tutor's personal contact details. This happens instantly via email, they also appear in your member's area under the section "my tutors". Open requests are only to discuss anonymously all tuition needs, once you both decide to go ahead you can do this via telephone and email. We wish you the best of luck with your new tutor. “We were looking for a Tutor for a dual lesson for my 5 year old Granddaughter and her Granddad and although this could have been a tricky one due to age difference, keeping her interested, etc... their first lesson went extremely well and they are both excited about going back.”
