“I found the First tutors website excellent. It was easy to use and instantly it gave me confidence to pursue finding a tutor as there was a tick box on the left hand side which showed the tutors were DBS checked, qualifications checked etc. I liked the steps to get a tutor and the profiles of the tutors were helpful but not good without a photo.”

“Relatively easy to use& I located a suitable tutor in our area quickly. I didn't realise there was an introductory fee. It wasn't a deal breaker but it would have been better if this was more obvious.”

“Found the Tutor I was looking for to help my Son with his A Level Maths. The site is very easy to use to find exactly who you are looking for and how to contact a specific Tutor. I have now used the site 3 times for Tutors covering different subjects. The first two have been excellent. the Third Tutor I chose is teaching my Son for the first time next week so I can’t say much about him yet apart from the fact he was quick to respond to my questions.”

“Very happy with First Turors site. I found there was a lot of varied tutors to choose from & liked the fact they showed me how far away from me they were as well as the travel arrangements. Found the reviews about each tutor very helpful. Once I had submitted an enquiry I had a good few responses. Would use this site again in the future as well as recommend it to others.”

“Unfortunately her English was limited and her style was questionable. She showed no new technique of learning and just read from the text book. She was I'll prepared and brought no past work with her. To top it off she did not charge the introductory amount which was advertised....instead she charged 35.00 pounds for the first lesson!! Not at all pleased...”

“Feb 2016 Sunderland, UK First Tutors is a great website that helps you find a suitable tutor in your local area for a wide range of subjects at a wide range of study level e.g. primary education to degree level. We have used First Tutors twice in the last year for 2 different subjects at GCSE level. The website is easy to use. We selected 5 tutors that were suitable and they responded. We communicated with the tutor we chose. The tutor accepts the request and then you pay the first tutor fee to release that persons contact details. The first session is a trial, and then you continue with the tutor if you're happy. Both tutors we've had have been very good and very beneficial for my son's study skills!!!”
