“I found the First-Tutors website excellent. There was a wide range of teachers to choose from, and good amount of information about each. After placing a couple of enquiries I quickly received responses (within a couple of hours) from 2 teachers in my area, and was able to get further information from them (e.g. their location, and available time slots) and within a short while I had arranged the time of my first lesson, with one of them. My only small criticism of the website is that when you send mail from the site, it does not tell you that it has been sent. So the first time I mailed, I didn't think the mail had gone, and I ended up sending it twice. Just a momentary message to say "Message Sent to XYZ" would be helpful!”

“I have been using First Tutors for about 2 years now and they have always been very responsive and helpful. The quality of tutors on this site have so far been satisfactory and I have not had any issues thus far. I would recommend this site to everyone! Thank you.”

“It was easy to find details of available tutors, but navigating the system to actually make a selection proved more difficult as I didn't find the website beyond the identification stage very intuitive.”

“Recommend FirstTutors but be are that there is no certainty that your selected tutor will fulfill their side of the agreement. Very wisely FirstTutors do not get involved in your arrangements.”

Dear Steve, Thank you for your feedback. I'm afraid we haven't received an email from you to advise about your problem so we were unable to help. We have a set procedure to follow when a tutor lets you down in some way. I have now sent you an email explaining how to claim another tutor free of charge. “An excellent way to find a tutor! My only issue is that the fee charged by the tutor isn't always up to date, so I would suggest that anyone using the site should check that with the tutor before booking lessons!”

“I recently paid £14.99 for Fabienne, got her address and discovered that she only does tutoring at her home. Therefore I decided not to use her. Can you tell me how I get the £14.99 refunded? Many thanks Kirsten Rees”
