“The intro fee is pretty expensive but there are a lot of tutors around in your area that you wouldn't have found without the web.”

“My daughter had an excellent first lesson.with her new tutor. She was very nervous but she was immediately put at ease and the first session went very well. She looking forward to continuing with Katherine and I am relieved we have found someone to tutor her so quickly”

“Found it to be quite a complicated procedure. Also I put ‘Bushey’ in the search and found the person we were linked to in fact lived in Hatch End which was no good to us. Felt I had wasted my money !”

Dear Alfred, I'm sorry to read your feedback. We aim to make our service as user friendly as possible and would like to discuss this with you to see if we can make the relevant improvements. Our search function uses user postcodes to determine the distance between tutor and client. If you use the search function on our home page, you will be shown a list of tutors local to your area. I can also see that your chosen tutor has an address in Hatch End and there is no mention of Bushey on their profile or via the tutor map. “Website is good and user friendly. Down side is you don't find out exactly how much the 'introduction fee' is until you've committed yourself to contacting the tutor. This should be made clear.”

“After paying for both tutors detail neither one can continue one because she is pregnant which i feel i should have been informed about and the other because the diatance is too far not a happy camper am now back to square one mu daughyer is left without a tutor”

“I have used First Tutors twice in the last 6 months , vey successfully . It was very useful getting to know possible tutors in advance and seeing who we would work well with . We found a maths tutor for our 18 year old son, who teaches via Skype , and an English tutor for our 13 year old who comes to our house . Both tutors have been great - very professional, excellent subject knowledge and enthusiastic .”
