“We’re very pleased with First tutors . It’s a great website as we we’re using it for past many years & found great teachers for our children. Also their customer service is very helpful as we have few issues in past but they respond us very quickly for all our quieries & complaints. We’re truly thankful to first tutor customer service. It’s Brilliant! Would highly recommend to everyone.”

“My son has had 2 french lessons with Angelo upto now. He is enjoying the lessons which is good sign 😉 as French has not been his favourite. Angelo is punctual and he communicates by updating progress of your child weekly. Thanks Angelo.”

“I found it unreasonable. Am a single mum looking for extra tutoring support for my child. For each teacher you want to discuss and trial its a £25 fee. If you want to discuss with a teacher (after the fee) and not happy first tutors allow 1 free trial. I used first tutors before and it was so easy and considerate. I think parents will understand me. It's hard if you need to find £25 for each teacher you want to discuss your child needs. Dissappoited and time wasting whilst trialling teacher by teacher.”

First Tutors charge a finder's fee to connect you with your chosen tutor once you have used our free messaging platform to discuss your requirements with as many tutors as you like. Our fees help to cover the cost of completing identity and address checks, and obtaining two references for all our registered tutors, allowing you to choose with confidence. “After the first session with Andrew, my daughter's attitude to learning and enthusiasm for RS greatly improved. Andrew enabled my daughter to 'see the wood for the trees' when preparing for her exams and helping her make sense of her course content.”

“The finders fee is too much especially when it varies per tutor. The finders fee should be standardised at a maximum of £10 considering that the hourly rates for the tutors are high already”

Dear Akosua, The finder's fee is based on the tutor's hourly rate so that it is affordable for all. The fee varies from £9.99 to £34.99 and helps cover the security checks we perform on all tutors. “Youssef has such a friendly personality; he was able to click with my son from the first lesson which encouraged him to accept taking more lessons with Youssef. For his good control on tge materials he used and tge tackling of tge GCSE needs, I am happy and have mind peace to have Youssef as online teacher to my son. Thank you so much Youssef!”
