“When my son asked for extra maths tuition I wasn't quite sure where to start. After a quick Google I soon found the First Tutors website and was impressed with the nimber of local tutors available. It was easy to use and within a week I had made arrangements. Very happy with the service and would recommend.”

“We have met with Alison in the library as it was the middle of our distances to travel. She was punctual and well prepared, openminded and friendly, encouraging and easy going. We would recommend her also to any young student who might get nervous during examen time.”

“FirstTutors was one of the best sites for identifying a tutor. Most sites have a couple of positive points, but FirstTutors ticked all the boxes: ability to identify which tutors are actually qualified teachers; ability to see that they have presented some sort of qualifications to FirstTutors; ability to chat with the Tutor first before paying the finders fee to FirstTutors (chat was through the FirstTutors site); references and reviews from other tutees / parents. Only downside was the finders fee, but that seems to be pretty standard across these sites, and going to a tutor through one of the free ad sites didn't provide the choice, the information, the reviews, or any indication people had been checked out in any way.”
