“I used Boroughbox to send my friend a few different types of food treats for his birthday. He was very pleased with the items. Delivery was good . Packaging was good and environmentally friendly. I will use Boroughbox again for similar gifts.”

“As a marketplace for brokering access to small traders' wares BoroughBox might have value. As a service for delivering a gift hamper, it's about as effective as JustEat. I have bought or been the recipient of BoroughBox goods intended as gifts at a very specific date 4 times. They have all been delivered prematurely. One such hamper was intended to be opened on a specific date as a replacement for a company Christmas party, but it was delivered a whole two weeks in advance of the intended date and required refrigeration for a period where fridge space was at a premium. The hamper categories and option for specifying an exact delivery date imply a degree of control over delivery dates that boroughbox does not have. The only reason I'd have for using BoroughBox instead of an alternative retailer would be to have a hamper delivered on a specific date, such as a birthday or Mother's day etc. I have 1 outstanding delivery for a specific date, a success rate of between 20% and 0% is inadequate to provide that so I have no reason to use BoroughBox in future.”

Hi Richard, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback on your order and experience with BoroughBox. I can see the order you have referred to on your review had a requested delivery date of 4th March 2021 and I can see from the courier tracking information that it was delivered on the date requested. I can see 2 other orders on our system that you've made with us, one of which had no requested delivery date, and the other is for a date in the future (27th March). May I ask which orders you are referring to that were delivered earlier than expected? It would be useful for us to know for us to be able to improve on our services so this doesn't occur again in the future :) Many thanks, BoroughBox

“BoroughBox was everything we could of hoped for and more! It was beautifully packaged, lots of attention to detail and the box was amazing quality. We sent it as a present and they were overjoyed with the contents and the presentation of the box. They even said they’ll be buying to give out as presents this year! A lovely selection of gins, tonics and snacks also! amazing quality and will definitely be buying again!!”

“Initially the gift was Poor, but It was rectified the same day that I complained. They explained their mistake clearly and sent a replacement. Never had a problem before, but I am pleased with how it was sorted out. Thank you.”

“Rather disappointed. Ordered a box for my daughters birthday (in plenty of time), and it was eventually delivered late the day after her birthday. Despite calling, with no-one available at weekends, BoroughBox couldn't chase this up for us. According to Yodel it was out for delivery at 9am on her birthday but didn't get delivered and no-one at Yodel was much help - 'it's on its way' was the best we could get out of an online chat.”
