“I ordered two starter kits, ginger bug and kombucha. The strainer and funnels were doubled up, it seemed a bit wasteful. Also I had to print the instructions from the website. It would be better if they had been 8n with the kit. Otherwise all ok. Thanks for the reply, perhaps an option or guidance on doubling up on kit might be a help. Regarding the instructions, they are a bit ambiguous on the website. I would suggest a 're write.”

“Starter works but while the information explains how to maintain it by feeding and storing one needs to research and use trial and error to start baking without a Dutch oven. I have time but others may give up”

“The Vinegar mothers Could of had an extra day on the Activate by date as it was a day over when we received them. But that may have been a postal issue and not a company one. But other than that customer service was great and they were very helpful”

“My order came quickly (considering coronavirus issues) but I had follow up issues (likely due to my own errors in handling, must stress product worked) and emailed the company. I didn't get any response at all. Wouldn't deal with them again because customer service is just so important. EDIT - Apparently they had answered my email - perhaps to wrong address - and they have immediately and satisfactorily followed up this review. I've added a star.”

“We paid the extra £1 for speedy delivery but there was a delay (which may have been the postal delay we’re all experiencing through COVID. Now enjoying my homemade goats milk kefir. Product was well packaged and has kept well in the fridge when I let it rest between each batch (there’s only me drinking it so can’t drink a litre a day!)”

“The grains arrived promptly and clear instructions on how to activate and ferment are given online, printable. When fermented, the kefir was very sour and so I twice fermented half but this tasted worse so couldn't use it. However other half improved with keeping in fridge and I froze the grains which had trebled in size. Worth pursuing. Fair value for money.”

“Haven't used it yet as a xmas pressie but one thing would be helpful is not to have full name of product on front of box kind of spoils the surprise as a gift!!! Even if you offer an option of a plain box!!”

“The kombucha and ginger kefir are great. The water kefir is still doing nothing after two activations. Will try a boost for it if it fails a third time. Otherwise will order again from the company, generally I was happy with the product.”

“Everything worked exactly as Instructed. Stirring the mixture every 6 hours proved to be a little difficult especially if you are away. Start off with the smallest amount of grains sufficient for one person. More if larger family.”

“I purchased one Greek Yoghurt Starter Culture and one Bulgarian Yoghurt Starter and paid an extra £1 for First Class Delivery. They took seven days to arrive, and I felt that a nice gesture would have been to have waived the extra delivery charge, as I was left feeling slightly ripped off. The starter was superb, and is regularly supplying me with flavoursome yogurt. I use a commonly available one litre yoghurt-maker, which I control using a digital temperature controller purchased on eBay.”
