“Fantastic products and customer service. Lots of questions as I’m new to the game! But they always got back to me to help me expand my knowledge. The Russian yogurt cultures worked very well and still creating delicious yogurt out of it. The kefir is taking its sweet time haha But no doubt it will get there in the end as I was told patience is def recommended with it. All in all, great website, very informative , so is the customer service even in these tricky times. I will be trying out more of their offerings in due time. Thank you guys”

“Good selection of starters, but very slow delivery, took over 3 weeks for a standard order to arrive. I’m sure this is due to Covid. The sourdough is lively and works well, but the dried yoghurt starter had been a failure. After contact with Freshly Fermented they promptly offered to replace the starter. Excellent customer service. Great website and clear instructions.”

“Ginger Bug Good product with a tasty end result. Be patient with first Ginger Bug which took quite a few days to get going. Subsequent batches have fermented better. Instructions could be improved. Teaspoon (heaped or level?) do not match suggested grammes weight. Was not sure if I should stir the Ginger Bug solution before filtering. I called Freshly Fermented and they were helpful. Be prepared to drink 3 litres a week or stock enough empty bottles as the Ginger Beer keep on coming!!”

“I dont know how many stars to give because the post came on time and the packaging was good but the kefir grains did not ferment so I ended up throwing them. I dont know the reason why though. I wish that a letter with the instructions how to ferment kefir came with the pack as it would’ve helped me a lot .”

“Milk kefir grains. Well packaged, excellent instructions on the website and a very good result once the grains were activated. I could only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the delay in processing and delivery but I understand that this was a period of unprecedented demand and that this would not be the case under normal circumstances.”

“All arrived as expect, but very short use by date.. I had bought it as a present and was unable to use it as a gift because of the short date. I had to use it myself which wasn't an issue, but I was disappointed as I had thought that it would have been a great gift for a fellow baker.”

“I ordered my starters and they arrived 5 days later, which is acceptable. They were a little expensive, but have "proved" to be very tasty and have added a new dimension and flavour to my sourdough baking.”

“Easy website, quick delivery. The white sourdough starter produces a very runny dough while proving but the resulting bread is decent. We found the rye sourdough starter to be better, and makes for a very tasty bread.”

“Kefir granules I bought some Kefir granules from Freshly Fermented. They arrived as promised and have worked a treat, especially with organic whole milk. They have multiplied a lot so after three weeks we have passed some on to friends already. The only thing that could be improved are the instructions. They were a bit long winding and cumbersome to read and understand. Maybe they could be reorganised into something shorter, clearer and without spelling mistakes. Otherwise a great product.”
