I paid £2950 for a so called leather sofa this being a recliner, after a couple of months the leather started to split on the middle cushion near recliner, I had a guy out from Furniture Village, he just filled the split leather in and said it was due to friction from the recliner, they aren't prepared to repair it again. The sofa looks like a cheap one now, I was never informed that a recliner could do this to so called leather. I am going to take things further, I'm sure you shouldn't need to replace your sofa after four years.

Ordered 2 designer armchairs for 2,000 GBP with estimated delivery 11-12 weeks. 13th week called them (many times over many days before I was able to speak to someone) only to hear that our armchairs will be delivered likely on week 20 without guarantees. I asked for clear explanation what happened and why and they promised to call back. They did in 10 min and on the line which was perfectly clear pretended they can not hear us. We could not call back, lines are down. No one called again. We wish to request refund as we can not wait 20+ weeks (if we lucky) to get delivery but in t&c it seems they charge 25% for those occasions. We are stuck. After reading 400+ negative reviews, I wish I never ordered anything from them... considering legal action...

order a sofa 12 weeks ago, i was told it wont be as long a 12 weeks, they now tell me after calling them for the last 5 weeks, it going to be November which means 17 weeks so a 3rd of the year spent waiting, i understand Covid but lets stop hiding, so i now have nowhere to sit. this company is rubbish especially the Thurrock branch, dont call them as the woman i spoke to was one of the rudest people i have ever spoken to, she would not let me talk.

At the 1st delivery attempt the sofa was damaged so we sat on the floor for 2 weeks until they checked it over and delivered it back with temporary feet. Good news after that though as we got three weeks before the arms fell off. Literally fell off. I started noticing wood chippings after a couple of days so I rang and in fairness to them, they arranged a replacement. It was when the 1st arm fell off that I rang to cancel the next sofa. It turns out that this "premium" £2k sofa is made out of the finest chipboard hardwood. Not hardwood hardwood! The main body of the sofa is held up by 3 bolts through that unicorn of woods... the chipboard hardwood. You only tend to get this material when you pay 2k for a £100 sofa. After saying I'd be sharing this on social media they offered me the use of it for 8 weeks but asked me to take care of it as they will repair and sell it.... what!? Its junk. Throw it in the bin.... dont pass it on to some poor unsuspecting family. They then asked if I'd be interested in keeping it at a reduced rate. Wait for it..... £1300!🤣 "Sir, it is a 2k sofa" I would of had it for a couple of hundred quid as I now have to sit on the floor until Jan 8th 2021. I did mention this, they said we are out of "contract" now so you are on your own. Like I said... they offered me this one for 8 weeks but I declined on the basis that I'd still be paying for it until it is returned. Unbelievable. Needless to say, I wont be going back. Look on the bright side... at least I'll have space for a big xmas tree this year. Have I forgotten anything🤔 they have nice cookies in the showroom. Everything else is shocking.

I purchased some sofas after finding the ones in store very comfortable. As soon as they were delivered they did not feel as comfortable. I thought maybe we just needed to wear them in a bit but no, they got worse over the next year. So bad that I complained and they kindly agreed to replace them, with exactly the same sofas which have again become uncomfortable so much so that you feel a bar of wood in your back. I went back in store and sat on the set that sold us and they are extremely comfortable as I had remembered. I told the person in store this when they asked if they could help, they said call customer service. I won't buy a sofa that I cannot check first as I feel stores like this put high quality versions in their stores and send you cheaply made replicas.

I ordered full bedroom furniture set. It was important to me that the dressing table had the stool and mirror. I was told it did. I ordered this with 2 bedside cabs a Tall boys and storage chest. Waited just over 8 weeks (as advised) and on day of delivery they only had half of the dressing table. They said they did not know where other bit was but if it was in the local store (left behind) they would bring it later that day. I heard nothing, left two answerphone messages, nobody got back. I rang on the Monday morning and told the store manager I was not happy as he told me it was actually in their store. Also advised him one bedside cabinet was very unsteady and rocking on the floor. He also told me the dressing table was not a set and there never was going to be a mirror with it. The lady who served me had only been there a couple of months, but he said it's human error and that they only have my word against hers. With his overall attitude I told him I was at the point of returning it all. I called them the next day and they said they would "source" a mirror from elsewhere. I said the "oak probably wont match" he told me that the furniture I had delivered from them would not exactly match as it is oak. I argued it did match in colour. They then sent Homeserve out to check the rocking side cabinet. He used a spirit level on my floor and said the floor is slightly out so he put a pad on the bottom of cabinet. Now I am no joiner or expert but I could not understand how the cabinet rocked in its position and the other side cabinet did not rock in the same place. He just argued the floor was unlevel and that was that. After he left I decided to keep it.. I had not used it so far and had a cover over it. then I noticed a scratch on the storage chest and the lid did not stay flat it springs back up! when looking properly at the drawers I saw that they are uneven, flush on some sides not on the other. they said that is just the way they are built! By this point I was furious..I went to the store, again not sympathetic to me..only offered to repair or exchange! I said I was very unhappy with it all I did not want repairs or wait 8 weeks for exchange but they threw in the 25% cancellation fee.. I felt at this point I would rather pay that than give them the balance of the order..I said I would take it further they said go ahead. I will try but never use them again.

Bought sofa and armchair from furniture village there is a problem with the seat of the chair sinking while sitting in it causing back pain. I phoned the store they said it was a manufacturing fault and put an order for another one. Two days later I told them I have lost faith and can guarantee the next one will be the same. I was told if I cancel the order they will take 25% from the refund which works out as 235.00, just for two day's into the cancellation. They said it was their protocol but on the website it states there are 3 easy steps for a refund in full, say's nothing about taking 25%, if it was a few days before it was due to arrive I would give in. Why is this protocol known to customers at the time you pay them money.

I have now been waiting 12 weeks for a headboard. People have been giving us false information about when it’s arriving saying it’s in the warehouse, when it’s not. It was supposed to turn up on one day and they couldn’t even get that right. I will not be using this company again. Honesty, from them, a joke.

Absolute joke of a company, never ever in my life experienced anything like it. This company should be avoided completely. From the very beginning I was contacted by James at 360 resourcing who said I had a great CV for an HR Administrator role. A week later he told me I was rejected for the position. I then came to find out he had made an error and he got mixed up with the Compliance Administrator role which is fine. I then had an interview with the hiring manager from Furniture Village who had no clue how to do an interview. She didnt even ask any questions relating to my experience but then 360 have a nerve to tell me there was a stronger candidate. I feel the recruitment process has been an unfair one as the other person probably had the chance to come across stronger by being asked the right questions. I strongly feel there has been some sort of discrimination by age and or race. Everyone reading this review, avoid this company at all costs and avoid Furniture Village too. Very unprofessional company.

Terrible experience with the delivery service. We sent an email asking if we could change the delivery address on the day of the delivery. We asked if it was possible, we didn't say anything about cancelling or not been able to access to the previous address given. We still had access to the previous address anyway. And they decided to cancel our delivery slot without consulting with us if it was possible to go ahead or not. They said they called us, but we have no missed calls. They said we didn't answer their first email quick enough (ehem... working?) so they just "thought" we couldn't receive it in the previous address given and decided our life for us. We arranged our work and day to be available for the delivery and now they say they can't deliver our mattress for another 4 days. A saturday. And they can't give us a time slot till the day before, leaving us unavailable to plan our one day off we have together as a couple. We have no mattress to sleep on and if I had known the service would be like this, I'd have purchased somewhere else that suited our time frame.

Take care if you buy a leather sofa from this lot. Had a sofa two and a half years and it's peeling. Never ever have I had this problem with previous leather sofas. So buyers think carefully before buying from furniture village

Avoid shopping at Furniture Village. We have ordered mattress it’s should be with us within 9 weeks and now after 12 weeks when we calling them they always telling lies “ just arrived to our warhorse and we will call you tomorrow for delivery “ is never happened and we called them from last 3 weeks and always same story. Big lies, not keeping promise. Never again shopping with them.

Sofas arrived 3 weeks ago Cushions keep moving every time you get up there’s a big gap between both cushions absolute nightmare. Cushions are sinking in 3 weeks.. Technician been viewed the sofas and agreed with us and advised us that we go in and swap the sofas.. report came and said no manufacturer fault. A big lie when the technician sat on the sofas and saw exactly his faulty the sofas are. We are now going to go in speak to the manager and if we need to take legal action and get trading standards involved. This was not the suite we saw in store!! Disappointed and angry £2,400 for a suite which is not fit to sit on.. Let’s see what FV manager has to say!!

Ordered a £3800 leather sofa ,two chairs and footstool. Assured it was “ made in Britain” display model had wide Velcro’s strips sticking the back support cushions to the frame to stop them sliding down and forcing the seat cushions out...as this happened with our old sofa, we thought it was a great idea. Order delayed due to the start of COVID ,understandably. All delivered eventually early March. Within 2WEEKS we called and said we wanted a refund, the whole suit was massively under stuffed and provided no support whatsoever, it was like sitting on a pile of scaffolding poles. The “ great design idea” Velcro was absent , obviously only for display models and the whole thing looked shocking. Informed that an engineer had to come out to assess, but due to lockdown this too would be delayed. Engineer arrived weeks later, took photos and tried his very best to “ plump up” the non existent stuffing in the suite. Said his report ,which we should get a copy of, would be ready in 24hrs. Three days later we had heard nothing, and here began the long game of telephone hockey than ran well into extra time ...... Several New staff explained that the guy who sold it all to us was no longer employed , the manager was on holiday , the women who answered the phone , seemingly from way back in March was “ new in the office”....Then ! A Jake appeared, talked sense, did his level best to get our feelings put before the manager Jason ,even managed to get a copy of the damning report where the engineer marvelled at how a suite “ could look over 10years old in less than a month !” and tried to arrange for collection of this pile of shoddy workmanship. Several calls later FROM me, never returned, we got it all collected end of August .The delivery guy Said “ I am now in possession, you need to call the Office for an immediate refund”.....I left it till the next day, more calls , more “ I’m new here I’ll get the manager to call you back”.....I left it till midday Monday and refused to wait for the “ manager to call”......then was put through and received a refund to my card. Shoddy products, sold under a tissue of lies, ( made in Britain turned out to be Asia !) appalling customer service, overworked staff without the power to sort situations forced to deal with unhappy customers. Never ever again.

Very poor experience. Ordered a mattress that was said to be available over 10 weeks ago and we are still not in receipt. Chased them numerous times via phone and email to no avail. My last email was sent over a week ago and I have still not had a courtesy of a reply or details of their formal complaints procedure. This is unacceptable. Stay well clear of this Mickey Mouse firm. Disgrace.

I have been buying my home furniture ever since they open in Abingdon. Never ever have any problem with them. After sales service is fantastic and the staff are always very helpful and go out of their way to help. Very honest about their furniture. I recently saw a dresser unit on Facebook on a sale and I rang their FV store in Stevenage. Darren, the guy who dealt with me was very honest enough to tell me that there is a damage in the unit. He took the photograph and SMS me and to me, it was very easily repairable, nothing major and very honest about delivery problem and advised me it’s better for us to hire a van which I did and a good friend agreed to drive me there and back. As I have been their customer for years, I trusted them and bought the furniture, paid the full price of £905.00 via my mobile phone and collected it two days ago. Despite we were almost 3 hours late on our initial time scheduled for 10.30 am, the staff were extremely helpful even though with staff shortage especially during this Covid 19 pandemic. When I reached home, I was so gob smacked with the lovely unit for the price I paid for. As furniture designer and manufacturer in the past, I do know what quality and design is and to be honest, I couldn’t produced this cabinet and sold it for just £905. Initially it’s worth £2,945 and it was on a sale for half price but because of the damage and the distance I have to travel and hire a van, and as a loyal customer, I managed to negotiate a very good deal. I am a very happy bunny and I couldn’t thank The Furniture village enough for this beautiful elegant quality and a huge sized modern kitchen dresser unit. I bought an Italian designer brand Calligaris height and size adjustable glass dining table from them years back and the plastic glider had deteriorated after 5 or 6 years due to wear and tear, but they sort it out for me and the manufacturer replaced it with no problem free of charge even after 5 years or so. I can’t ever complain about Furniture Village or their Italian supplier Calligaris at all. Will always buy from Furniture Village as well as the Calligaris designer brand. I am very satisfied with both. Trust me, I used to design and manufacture for Prestigious company such as Harrods in London and I know what I am talking about.
