First sofa bought had a broken leg!. Replacement looked second hand, no felt in feet, hole in the arm, scratched on the legs. Debating sending the whole lot back and refund... Will never use again

The customer service is very very bad, if you can avoid buying from furniturwe village please don't. I am still waiting to get a refund for the last 5 months and they don't even have the decency to reply to emails or answer phone calls

Bought 2 sofas in October 2018 delivered December. Only ever cleaned with stuff I purchased from them. I now have leather sofas that are peeling. They sent some one out to have a look on Wednesday they phoned me Thursday to say it was contaminated but he can't say what with and that its not a manufacturer fault he only looked and rubbed sides with white cloth (different leather to cushions). And to be told it's basically my fault because it could of been on my clothes, then I was told even what people eat or drink comes through your pores. So basically don't buy leather from furniture village if you intend to eat and drink and sit on your sofas. I was also asked by another employee why I was cleaning it and I said because its dirty bearing in mind sofas are light grey to be asked well how are they dirty, well because we sit on them. She put phone down on me in the end because she said I was shouting I wasn't I was annoyed to be made to feel stupid.

brought, after delivery i was back at the store within the hour to tell them to take it back and refund my money now, all you get is a runaround, no respect from staff or manager, suite a total mess, crumpled leather, saggy seat after 2 weeks, bad joints, not enough padding in arms, arm sticks out not fitted in properly, leg sticks out, leather upgrade paid for not fitted, all they do is keep delaying you with different tactics just to keep it going, see photos remember this is new, because it look old and well used, brought from DFS last time had suite for 8 years only got rid because other half wanted a change, wish i went back there. photos not loading.

Terry from the Chester store was great, very informative and helpful! Couldn’t fault him and the store. Very helpful and lots of precautions for Covid with gel and face masks! Couldn’t recommend Terry enough

went back to the store straight away after delivery to tell them to take it back, was told that you have to have it for 2 weeks and then come back and they would make arrangements for someone to look at it to see what was wrong and take it from there, I have now found this out to be a trick on behalf of Furniture Village but thankfully thanks to Which Magazine I was in time to get my refund, There trick was that if you wait as requested the 2 weeks then waited because they say there was a belay in getting it looked at and it goes passed 30 days the option of refund is harder to sort out, don't get caught up with this but say straight away that you want a refund and put that in writing, go to Which web site and put info in and they will email you a letter to email to Furniture Village serving them with your rights, don't get caught up with delaying tactics.

Went to furniture village to buy a sofa we had seen the day before could not decide on a colour Jason was extremely helpful polite and very efficient with dealing with our order and showing us different colours so we could decide can't wait to get our order now thanks again Jason

Awful quality. Purchased a sofa less than two years ago and is so awful we now must replace it! Cushions all totally lost shape affecting our backs badly and when removing the removable covers, they do not come off properly as stuck to the very poor quality cushion which consists of a number of cheap peices of foam in some sort of mesh covering.. Covered in black powder from goodness knows where.. Nightmare! Would never shop here again!!

Bought a mattress for my special need child. Found out later on the same size mattress will not go through my staircase as there is two sharp bend. Had to return another mattress from ikea for same reason. Tried to call furniture village not to send the mattress and to refund. Gone through voice mail, left message, a very rude lady said it’s ready and I have to pay 100% of mattress price as cancellation fees as it has been made. Finally told me to speak to manager of the branch. I called today, they said they gonna call me back tomorrow. I am a NHS doctor, I am extremely busy, on night shift on that time. But I had to keep me wake up to get the phone call back, which never came. I had to chase them several times before getting someone to speak to again and got the answer that they have ordered it, so no return and no matter it will fit my stair case or not, they will deliver it.

Ordered divan base and headboard 8th March paid nearly £600. Of course I understand there is a pandemic on but my local furniture company has been back to work for over a month. I have had no communication since the 1st April. FV have had our money for 4 months. appalling! Spoke to a friend and she had similar situ 5 yrs ago with Furniture village.

I ordered about 3k worth of furniture in December 2019 with an estimated 12 week delivery. One of the items was a dining table with some chairs, delivery was understandably delayed as a result of the COVID 19 crisis. The table was delivered 2 months ago without the chairs - the direct debit payments are being taken out for items I have not received. I was advised in April that the chairs would come in May, I was advised in may that they would come in June and I have been advised today that the store doesn’t know when they will come. The one star review is for the customer service, or lack thereof, that I have received from the WATFORD branch. No one answers the phone, I left 5 messages across this week for a call back and didn’t get one. I finally managed to speak to someone yesterday who assured me the manager ROB would call me back yesterday - he didn’t. I finally got round to speaking to him today after calling AGAIN and he said he was “too busy to call me back yesterday or today”, he’d chase my order but would be “too busy to call me back tomorrow so another member of staff would”. WHAT A JOKE. Delays are understandable, disregard for customers is not. The service is great when you’re shopping but once you’ve ordered and paid don’t expect any interest from the team in helping you. Everyone has excuses and there is an absolute lack of accountability.

Original post date 04 June 2020 My partner and I ordered our selves a £2,500.00 corner sofa in early March from Furniture Village. There were numerous factors that influenced our decision, one of them being Covid-19 and lead times. We had originally settled on a sofa in Harvey's for almost half of the price however we were told that there was a significant lead time as the sofas were made in the middle east and Covid-19 had caused delays. It was suggested if we ordered from Harvey's we should expect delivery mid to late June. After speaking with a member of Staff in Furniture Village, we were advised that their sofas were made in the UK and that the lead time is only 5 weeks. This was the primary reason for us making the purchase with Furniture Village.  I apreciate that we made our order 3 weeks before the UK government enforced lockdown and this is going to cause unforeseen delays, however this does not excuse the lack of information receiced from Furniture Village. We have received no communication from Furniture Village, I have contacted them via online chat twice, been promised calls from the manager at the store we made the purchase for an update and we are yet to receive those calls. The customer service once they have taken your money is appalling. We have now been waiting 11 weeks for our sofa after initially being told 5 weeks and we haven't received any update what so ever. I'm sure if we were to show interest in making another purchase, we would receive a telephone call then. Update 19/06/2020 Still no communication even though we have reached out in numerous ways. They don't answer the phone and their mailbox is full. I am disgusted by the service, it is not hard to pick up the phone and speak with your customers about any problems you are having rather than ignoring the issue and hoping your customers will go away. Seriously considering going to the store now and demanding a refund so that we can look elsewhere. I do not trust that Furniture Village is going to deliver and I'm not sure I even want them to anymore.

This is without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever received. I have been in contact with the call centre to discuss this but to no avail. We ordered a dining table, set of 4 chairs and a separate bench from them in October 2019. 7 months on we are having quality issues with what has been received. The table and chairs were only delivered before Xmas due to our constant harassment and chasing, and were finally sent without the bench, as it was not available (I expect we would still be waiting for the table and chairs had we not chased it up). We have been told that compensation will be discussed once the bench had been received due to how long the delivery took, but this has yet to happen. The chairs are all faulty and we were promised a replacement numerous times, but we are still awaiting on this, as well as the compensation. The entire process has been extremely frustrating and seemingly impossible to get right. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

If I could give the Hull, St Andrew's Quay branch zero I would. Nothing but issues since the minute we walked in. We witnessed one salesperson bully another one and reduce her to tears. We have just been in now to cancel part of our order due to COVID our house sale has fallen through and we have been refused a refund on our deposit despite the sales manager Jason telling us on ordering we could cancel and get our money back at any given time. We have not signed into a credit agreement and dont want to cancel the entire order, however some of the furniture is no longer required. We have no where for it go. Best yet the sofas arent even at the warehouse yet! No sympathy, lack of understand and clearly money orientated, forget the people side of business. Shambles!! Dont use this place.

I bought a 3+2 seater bonded leather sofas. They are beautiful and only cost just over£500.Brilliant service, and free delivery. Waited 6 weeks for the light grey to come in stock, but NO problems whatsoever. Guys put it altogether in my room BRILLIANT service . Maybe they have a new manager now?

Hi I hope you are well. I am writing about a mattress I bought in 2018 from furniture village . I have developed severe back pain and have been to hospital A & E recently . My doctor has advised that my mattress is partially to blame . I want to return the mattress under the 3 years guarantee. I have had a very bad experience with furniture village last time as my sofa was delivered to Africa and hoping for a better outcome now . Silent night has advised to contact you directly Please see the picture with order number . Please advise ? all I will say is anyone who buys their overpriced leather furniture.which in reality is cheap junk. only have themselves to blame .when it fails you will have no warranty back up. they simply don’t care .and this is the god honest truth.

For 6 months I have been waiting for replacement baseboards that were damaged by the fitters. Emails are completely ignored and no return phone calls. Today however new baseboards were delivered but are not correct size and still do not fit correctly. Fitters tried to tell me it was because our bedroom carpet is too thick. So you can only have an ottoman bed with baseboards if you have a hardwood floor - sure. So 6 months down the line and still no nearer. Back to today and delivery - one of the delivery men asked to use the toilet and as we were upstairs (baseboards being for a bed) I directed him to the upstairs bathroom. When he came out I asked him to go back and wash his hands. He looked at me and said why - why - firstly my house do not use facilities in other people's homes then spread germs around. SECONDLY CORONA VIRUS - today is 18 March 2020. The man said what did it matter they were ready to leave - I said you have to walk through my home and out the front door and I will not know what you have touched. He was not pleased. These men are going into people's homes and maybe even elderly people's homes and if he cannot wash his hands after going to the toilet who knows what germs he is spreading in different houses in relation to the corona virus. I will never ever shop at Furniture Village again - try Pendle Mill is you live in that area or Shackletons (worth driving to).
