“DO NOT USE ADMIRAL INSURANCE After storm Darragh my roof started leaking on my property causing water damage. Started the claims process with admiral and was passed on to evolution claims. They sent a surveyor around to my property to gather information and evidence, after 2 weeks no response so I called to get an update I was told that unfortunately the wind speeds were not high enough to warrant my claim as the wind speeds had to be over 55mph and it was only 46mph complete lie. Did my research and got in touch with admiral directly they checked another weather station and all of a sudden I met the criteria as the wind speeds were in excess of 60mph plus. Great news so I thought days went past no reply I called evolution claims again only to be told that I wasn’t covered now as I hadn’t maintained my roof (who maintains there roof until they have a problem) and there was too much moss on it which has contributed to the problem. They agreed the storm has caused the issue but my lack off maintenance and upkeep is the reason it has leaked and I am not covered for the roof or any of the damage inside my property.what is the point of having insurance if when you need it you can’t claim! DO NOT USE ADMIRAL INSURANCE”

“I paid just over a £1000 for 2 cars on a multi car policy with admiral running from January 2024 to January 2025. I've been driving for over 35 years and this policy didn't cover me to drive others cars on a third party basis. Furthermore, Admiral wouldn't let me add the feature to my policy!!! First time in my driving history that this has happened. Looking at quotes for 2025/26 I can get 2 separate policies for just under £900 with another major insurance company. I get to drive other cars, have legal cover and uninsured driver cover which the Admiral policy never had. More cover for significantly less money!! All I can say is thank God I haven't had to make a claim!!! Goodbye Admiral, I won't be coming back!!!”

“Cancelled policy and they paid the refund onto someone else's old card. I rang and said I was told it would go back to my bank account from where the direct debit were paid. They refused to help. Useless call centre handlers in New Delhi. AVOID”

“Usless company. Said I match the criteria for a loan, then they did a hard search affecting my credit rating in a negative way, then suddenly I no longer match the criteria. I have a 999 credit rating I earn exactly what I said I earn on the application and I have no debt. I have no idea what else could have affected the outcome. My advise is don’t waste your time with this company. They will say you are approved and then reject the application later, making it harder for you to then find a different company to lend to you as you’ll have hard searches showing on your credit file.”

“Incompetent and lacking capacity to do the real work (managing insurance claims effectively) You should look at how insurers handle claims. In my case they have badly messed up 2 claims and the subsequent complaints. I think they have staff competency and capacity issues. It has been 1 year since these issues started and honestly Admiral can't seem to do anything right. Issues: - Fraudulent third party claim for over £4000 excess work unresolved. I have provided images of the third party car at the time of the incident showing none of the extensive damages claimed for were present on the car at the time but Admiral have done nothing. -Admiral extremely pressuring me with Copart to give them my car for scrap without explaining that I could retain the car. -Admiral applying the wrong category for write off. Then saying they have corrected when they haven't (which would have got me in trouble with the DVLA). I checked myself and found that they still had not put the correct category on. -Admiral never starting proceedings with third party insurer to recover excess (incident in February 2024). They like sending emails and saying they've done all they can. So you will be without your excess for months. - Admiral complaints team seem to be over burdened. They do not reply to emails or investigate concerns. If they do reply they will not Get your complaint in early so that you can take them to Ombudsman instead. -Admiral privacy team does not provide all phone calls as part of a subject access request. It will be the phone calls that you actually need (the ones where they pressured you or made mistakes) that they will not provide. This is illegal. My premium has increased and I am at least £600 down. Save your money and go to a competent insurer.”
