“In my opinion this insurance company is a bit over the top. What I mean by this is that every other company I have used I have just paid and been insured but for this one I have had to send a copy of my licence and have a box fitted in my car. The box is extremely inaccurate, two journeys in which I drive the same style comes back as one good and one not. I also get low scores for using my car "too much" but im a busy person with kids so I need to use it quite alot. Price wise is ok though.”

“I am really happy with my policy with Carrot insurance, it was the cheapest one i found and trust me i looked around ALOT! I feel it is making me a better driver as i can see the feedback from each of my journeys and the cash back is an extra bonus. Would 100% recommend to anyone who has just started driving.”

“Carrot insurance has made my first few months of driving so far easy and stress free. Purchasing my insurance with them was very straight forward, the customer service team are easy to get hold off and have answered any questions which I have had so far. Compared to other insurance websites Carrot was very good with the deal I got. I would highly recommend carrot insurance, I more than likely will be purchasing my second year of insurance with them too.”

“The experience of purchasing insurance through carrot we a very easy and tansaction. However we have had an issue with the ibox and there seemed to be some miscommunication between carrot and the ibox company plus a faty ibox was fitted, thsi which led to.me having to have multiple calls with carrot and the ibox company. Its all sorted now and this wouldnt stop me from using carrot again though”

“Very easy company to deal with with very friendly staff who explain everything very clearly. The rewards for driving are also very good. The blackbox was fitted extremely quick and the policy claim done problem free. I have no problem recommending Carrot to any driver and have told my friends to use them also. Thank you Carrot for making the first year of my driving an unforgettable one for the right reasons”

“I like being with carrot insurance as the cash rewards give you an insentive to drive well each drive. I also like how you can track exactly how you are driving to see whether you are doing well and to also see what you need to improve on. Every person I have spoken to on the phone has been very helpful and understanding as I am a brand new driver so they explained everything very well to get me through the process. I would recommend carrot to my friends.”

“When I first passed my test Carrot provided the best level of cover for the cheapest price. It was very easy to set up and the man who installed my black box was very efficient. The app is really useful to keep an eye on your score. Generally speed is correct, smoothness is sometimes an annoying measure as you might have to do an emergency break etc however this is only occasionally. Usage is difficult to get a good score to begin with as it is not easy to tell when the best time to make a journey is. After driving to school a few different times I found the right time to get the best score. I did not continue my insurance with Carrot as I was quoted a better price with less telematics. Overall I had no issues with Carrot, I would recommend them to drivers who have just passed their test. Laura Hodkinson was very helpful over the phone.”

“Carrot insurance was a good deal until i found a better deal else where. I have phoned them a few time and everyone i have spoken with have been very helpful and understood English!! I had to cancel due to finding a better deal so Laura W from the cancellation team helped me out and was very helpful and explained everything brilliantly. So today im rating Carrot insurance 4/5. Prices are meh but the customer service is 5/5. Thanks again”

“Just like 90% of the other reviews, my issues are the same, after having my policy for just under 5 months they've cancelled my policy for 'a negative driving score', even though my score was negative even after doing more than 3 mile journeys at one time. From the perspective of a young driver (20 years old) this insurance is an absolute dream killer, and all they want is your money, hard enough as it is being able to get insured under the age of 25, premiums for next year will be unaffordable. 100% gonna read insurance reviews before committing to a policy that will just destroy your premiums for the next year. BY FAR THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR MONEY!!!!!”

“I've been with carrot for 2 years and just recently left, only reason was because I was quoted better elsewhere and they couldn't match it. Personally I think carrot is brilliant for first time drivers, i see people complaining saying it's hard to keep a good score?, I never had that problem, I was always +9.00, it's not hard to drive safe. The only issue I had was that my box wasn't recording for a few months and I missed out on a few quartetly rewards, but when I explained to the team what was happening they reimbursed me with my expected quartley reward. So win win. Defo recommend for first time drivers!”
