“I got insurenced with this company because it was the most affordable but I have been trying to contact them with questions about why my score is lowered for doing nothing wrong! I drived as I have done when I get 10.0 but get random really low scores so I have a bad score. The price has been good but I would like my enqires to be replied to, for the amount I'm paying (which is still a lot!) I would appreciate being replied to and the phone answered”

“They are very very unreliable!! I only went with this insurance company because they were the cheapest I could find and I regret doing so! They always put my score down when I've done nothing wrong, always down on usage which I don't understand? They always claim I'm speeding when I never do and put me down on smoothness all the time? And then when I had my first accident the other day the report didn't even come up!!! Since the accident I've been calling up all the time for advice and support and they claimed that my policy would be majorly affected if I got them to do all the leg work. They tried to get me to catch up the guy at faults insurance, and the garage to which my car is in and to personally claim my car is written off, that's their job not mine.dont use this insurance :)”

“Awful company!! Sent a letter for excessive spending that they are going to cancel my spending when I know for a fact I drove 27mph saying I was doing 37!! Joke of a company”

“Don't trust in what they say as they are liars. They have taken all my money and forced me to cancel my policy because I had to change my address. Spoke with the managers and they laughed that I wanted to call lawyers and said they have their own rules. Never even came back for the black box as they are afraid to send someone. Promised me that everything will be fine as I always payed on time and when they told me to cancel I had to pay for another month for the insurance and I never got the deposit back. Please don't accept insurance from them”

“Seems to be a very common problem and nothing seems to be getting done about it. My black box is just shambolic, I was told that I had no curfew on the box and if I go out after around 10:00PM the useage on my dashboard is -9.36, the estimated miles is terrible as well, I drove to the airport to drop someone off and it's instantly calculated I'm going to be doing that regularly so no matter where I go now my usage rating will drop. Don't even get me started on the customer service, just bunch of puppets and broken records, and that's if you even get through to them. I have been hung up on once or twice because I was questioning what they were saying. They have very poor communication between the box installations and themselves. Was told one thing by the engineer who had to send photos to Carrot, they didn't even try to contact me to tell me what was going on, which was a good thing I rang because my policy had gone into the 7 days of cancellation. Wish I had forked out the extra couple hundred pounds and went with a company with a bit of heart and character. Wouldn't recommend”

“Wasn't even speeding and now they are saying I have 7 days left of insurance as they are cancelling it for excessive speeding doing 31mph in a 20 zone I have seen to many of these and if Anyone wants to go to trading standards email me and I will send you my email they sent me about speeding!!”

“Completely useless. Getting passed around the company. Was involved in an accident that wasn't my fault. My car was redeemed not repairable so I had to buy a new car. Then I had to pay over £240 for an admin fee and for the black box to be fitted. This is not fair. I will be taking this matter further. Also you get rewarded quarterly. The accident was in February, it made my score go down and after explaining this when the quarter reward came yesterday I got nothing. My score was still on minus and still is. Avoid Carrot Car Insurance. They are so shit!”

“Not been with this company for long but for the time i have it has been acceptable the only bug bear i have is i have had to contact them several times regarding faults on my online dashboard not coinciding i found facebook was the best method to contact them and this has been resolved fairly quickly”

“Wouldn't even give carrot a star if I had the option. Shocking customer service, prior to getting the box fitted the installation team were telling me one thing and customer service another poor communication between both departments. Every time I rang up I was waiting 45 minutes to get through to someone. Cancelled my insurance without telling me so was driving about with no insurance for 2 days before I found out they'd cancelled.”

“Carrot seem good at first. We earned a reward in our first quarter but the telematics device does make mistakes, and we ended up haveing the policy cancelled in a pretty summary fashion for minor infringements. I suspect there are no Carrot customers who have had policies for longer than 6 months. Avoid like the plague as you wont get insurance elsewhere oce you have had your policy cancelled.”

“They have provided me with insurance for a year now, when I had my crash they sorted it all for me and have now come up with a surprisingly good quote for next years insurance. They have also given me a rewards card which they have put a small amount of money on for good driving this past year. However, they are impossible to get hold of over the phone, expect very long hold times, they also charge for any little change including a change of address despite the house costing no more I was told this was an 'admin fee'.”

“DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! Bunch of liars, they only want your money. 3 weeks before my insurance is due to end, Carrot decided to cancel my insurance policy because of 'speeding' on 20mhp road by having 31. I seen few reviews on this review site and found over 20 people in last 2-3 months who had the same isssue. You will end up with no claims discount and carrot will fu*k you up only by money! If you had similar situation, I am plaining to report carrot by sending complaints with screenshots of other people, other evidence as well. Bunch of fu*king liars, they are only willing to help you and be kind when you give them money. never go with it.”
