Took out insurance and set up payment date for 28th then they try taking money out on the 21st the point blank refuse to change the date it comes out. Very rude customer service. Avoid at all costs they do not care about their customers!!

Very poor, when I took the policy out I asked for auto renewal not to take place. At renewal I had an email saying they were going to auto renew. I spoke to them on the phone telling them not to auto renew which they said they would make sure did not happen. Guess what, they still tried to auto renew the policy. Not to be trusted.

You have an inability to read emails sent to you resulting in the cancellation of my insurance, but then how much money can you make by closing accounts. I have done another review but you say it's not verified but how not when you contacted me on my email address.

You obviously can't read emails as I sent you all the information required and you read half giving permission for Mrs squires to deal but failed to see code sent so now the insurance is cancelled by you because of your incompetence.

Harassment and constant threatening letters despite providing proof of no claims discount. Very poor customer service as nothing done when calling to notify they had the proof. They just agreed they had it and to ignore any letters, however the threats of cancellation continued. Do not insure with this company unless you want hassle and worry that you may not be insured. Heaven forbid you ever need to make a claim!!!

I dont even own a vehicle a friend asked me to pay first payment threw my card an nowthey do they did there own s.o for 176.00with out my permission there a joke going to complain

Being told that the queue for an assistant is so long that I would need to book a call for the following day. On calling the following day at 8.30am opening time, it still took 10 minutes for call to be answered. Clearly under-resourced.

We had a poor experience due to an auto renewal, there was no quote or request for documents until I received a letter saying they were about to cancel.

i cancelled my policy because i had lost my job and was told that ihad to pay £105 for cancelling it but the premium for the year was only £96 and the policy had been running for 3 months rip off bastards

I Decided to sell my motorcycle,so rang Devitt to cancel my insurance policy which still had 6 months to run,only to be told there was a £75 cancellation fee on a policy that only cost £75.45 for the year !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely Ridiculous .

I don't like this insurer. I took out an insurance policy with them to cover a small bike, payable in instalments. During the insurance period, I passed my test. This had ZERO effect on the premiums I had to pay. I wanted to change to a new bike. That's when I found out that the policy is so deviously worded, that it penalises cancellation of the policy before the 12 months are over. The fee to cancel the policy was much higher than simply paying off the remaining 6 months of instalments in one go! So I called them and enquired about transferring/amending my existing policy to a new bike. The annual premium I was quoted for the new vehicle was astronomical, compared with those I got from entering that vehicle's details and mine onto an insurance brokers' comparison website. In short, a policy from Devitt turned out to be a very bad deal for me, as I passed my test and am still stuck with the policy I originally bought. I can't amend it and I benefit from no discount from passing my test. Any change or termination of the policy results in me having to pay an exorbitant 'fee', written into my contract. I shall not use this insurer again, when my current policy runs out. False economy.

Tried to contact them on numerous occasions within the first week of the policy to cancel as I sold my bike, through email and phone, didn't get through once nor did I get a reply, I did get a letter from a debt collection agency for "the outstanding balance" which I am still paying off... Cheers devit GO WITH MCE much better communication!

my son just tried to change his motorcycle from a manual to automatic, He paid £390 for the policy 4wks ago, and for the change over it would be a further £360 as it is classed as a higher risk bike!!! MOPED!! REALLY??. but going through as a new customer the policy is £289! if we cancel the existing policy we get a refund of £191.. you should be ashamed please everyone do NOT use this company

Waited in a que to cancel my policy when I eventually got on to an advisor they wouldn't cancel my policy because I answered a question wrong about my occupation. so I was told I had to ring back wait in a que again and do all the questions again just to cancel my policy

I took out a policy for my motorbike and was asked to send proof of NCB, which I did. I then had a reminder email 2 days later, to which I replied pointing out that I had sent it two days earlier. 11 days later I get a letter stating that as I haven't sent proof of NCB they are cancelling the policy! On telephoning, they explained why they couldn't accept the NCB, which I reluctantly accept. WHY didn't they just tell me this in the letter instead of threatening to cancel the policy?! They now cannot insure me apparently, as I do not have any NCB to put against the new policy, even though I'm prepared to pay the extra premium. Now facing £55 cancellation fee.....so be it, if they don't want my business I'll go elsewhere; I object to being scammed like this! AVOID AT ALL COST!!
