I uploaded my certificate for 3yrs no claims bonus, after almost 1 month I was sent an email to say they haven't got proof of 3 yrs & I should pay an additional £185.00. Really wish I hadn't chosen them, I will speak to them tomorrow then cancel if It's not rectified. Poor customer services. 😡😡😡😡

I found them from "compare the market", but as I call them, they wouldn't answer me; I called them 4 times and every time I got hanged down.

I was never told that even if I cancel within cooling off period I will have to pay £60 as admin charges. On complaining, I was told that its part of our T&Cs. Total rip off!

They provided me with a quote online, I went ahead and bought the policy. They then sent me an email to tell me i'm not insured until someone phones me. During the phone call they went through all the information i provided and even tho it was exactly the same as I had done online they increased the quote by £800. complete waste of time!

Do not insure yourself with this company. In the short time I was with them I got cut off 4 times and only managed to speak to someone when I pressed the option for new customers (which was answered in seconds). Misleading quotes Whether you cancel the policy within 1 minute for 14 days you incur an £85 charge. 38% interest rate on pay monthly policies And all other fees for changes are astronomical. Avoid like the plague.

Misleading quote led me to this company. I'm very disappointed that first insurance gives false prices and then two weeks later pretend that the details have changed to double the original quote. Nothing has changed. If someone was of a trusting and vulnerable disposition, I could easily see how first insurance could exploit this for their advantage. If anyone is thinking of using this company as a broker, I would strongly recommend that they have a look at the genuine reviews further down the page detailing what you can expect from this company. And Im not talking about the dubious 5 star ratings. I expect they come from Bracknell. You have been warned

Total con money supermarket should ditch these guys. Won't give me the policy for what they quoted and then threatened to take my payment from my card without my permission as they had my card details stored on there website database from when I tried to pay online. Which it won't actually do totally coned. Scum bag fat cat getting rich ripping hard working people. Hope karma bores you out.

Do not go with them. They came up cheapest on a comparison site, but after waiting hours for a call to give out all the details I had entered on said site the price went up 20%, they want every document you have going to be uploaded. No other company I have been with is this bad. It's not worth the hassle and isn't cheaper.

Price came up the cheapest on a comparison website so went ahead with putting card details in to then receive a message saying someone would call to get it set up and I wasn't insured until I spoke with someone. I called them as I needed to use my van early the following day (it was 6pm). After being on hold for what felt like forever I finally got to speak with someone. He didn't ask me any of the questions which were stated in the email. Eventually he was telling me the price would go up due to my 'no claims' I don't have any no claims nor did I say that I did! I told him of the price was increasing then I wasn't interested in pursuing it so the guy hung up on me. DON'T EVEN BOTHER! PAY THE EXTRA WITH A BETTER COMPANY AS YOU'RE GOING TO GET CHARGED IT ANYWAY!

What went wrong! The question should be what went right!! Nothing, absolutely nothing. From 1st taking out insurance with them, and supplying them with the correct documents they requested within the required time frame, they then continued to hound me saying i hadn't sent them the information threatening to cancel my insurance. One year on, and yes you guessed it, trying to get proof of your no claims bonus is impossible, with new insurers now threatening to cancel my new policy the temptation to drive to their offices with 10 litres of petrol strapped to my waist is becoming ever more tempting as a last resort as my brain is going to explode from frustration, having to keep writing down everyone's name date & time i spoke to them, and getting nowhere fast. Did i forget to mention they wanted to increase the premium almost two fold (that's £1,000 extra), as they were no longer covering my class of vehicle "as it has 7 seats" (2 fold downs), bit bizarre as it's the same car, and more sensible than a two door sporty racer!!!

After being with first insurance for 5 years I went renew my policy today and I was left with a very unhelpful person on the phone who wasn't willing to give me any discount. All they wanted me was to renew on a more expensive policy and didn't care about helping me in anyway so I'll have to move company where people actually care.

False advertising. This company came up as my cheapest insurance on all of the price comparison websites and as others have said, after putting in my card details I still had to wait for someone to call me before my policy could start. When I was called the following day the man went through all of my details which were all correct, however the price of insurance went up by £300 even though nothing had changed. He could not give me a reason for this and tried speaking to his supervisor to see if he could bring the price down but he could not. I went back to searching through the different price comparison websites, with the same details, and First for Insurance were still my cheapest option and even cheaper than before.

I took out insurance for the year, sold the car within the first month as my wife and I are divorcing, we have a terminally ill child and things just haven't worked out. I was told about the £60 fee for cancellation and 10% charge that First take if cancelled. Then you have the underwriters (in my case) 1/12 fee. So I paid them £650 and they are trying to give me back £330 after I insured the car for 16 (yes!!!! 16) days! This company is the epitome of UK "Terms and Conditions" which were NOT EVER explained in that detail. I was told as I described above and they tried to pu this one over us. I am waiting for their manager to call me, it better be good" You have been warned!

After inputting all the correct data through comparethemarket website, I received a quote of £1,247.92. It redirected me to First for insurance's website to complete the order. I have inputted my debit card details and confirmed all the correct details. I received an email afterwards stating that my policy is ready to process, however it stated that either someone is going to call me back or I should call them immediately. I then received a call at 08:32 from 01344 987640 and spoke with David from First for insurance. David took all the details again despite me inputting them on their website. David now quoted me in excess of £2300 for a policy whereby none of the details were altered. You do the maths.....
