Trying to call about life insurance and I can't get in touch with anyone and the phone keeps hanging up on me how can you even deny/approve anyone if no one is in the office

They charged me 117 for one weeks insurance , when I got the insurance I thought I had taken out class 1 as soon as I checked the documents I rang them was told to keep the Insurance for 7 days to give me time to find Insurance I needed , they have charged because cancellation fee of £76.00 , was told to keep it , I would never recommend them to anyone, they rob you, they didn't cancel it as promised after 7 days I at to do it after emails back and forth they finally cancelled it, I wonder why??

SCAMMERS! I had a car crash provided all documentation needed for their private investigator after 3 months of calling them all I get told every single time is “you’ll receive a call back claims being processed”. Also they got the location of where the car was and was told I will be called by the company when they tow the car as I had the key, they dragged the car with all my items in it onto a tow truck without my consent. I was left thinking the car had been stolen as the confused company forgot to give me a call. I still haven’t received any sort of letter, email or call back since the claim started. Never. They will try their best to beat around the bush. For your own safety and peace of mind do not use this company. They still have my car with all my belongings inside and haven’t given me a penny. And also the rudeness they speak to you with is just awful I don’t know how a company like this hasn’t been closed down. COWBOY INSURANCE COMPANY. STAY AWAY

Confused.com and Compare the Market should be ashamed of doing business with these cowboys. Phone waiting times on the Customer Service line are, without exaggerating, hours. I spent upwards of 4 hours on hold in one day. Emails go either bounce back as undelivered or just simply go unanswered. Interestingly you get through immediately when you try to get a new quote... They send you emails from 'customer.services@...' which then bounce back as undelivered. The communications are a mix of Ladybird, Fresh and First so it is unclear who you are insured with or how to contact them. The online document portal is as useful as a chocolate teapot with no way to view the documents you have uploaded should you need them later. Your password seems to not be saved and so you must re-register every time you log in. The 'system upgrade' that was due to complete in 3 days took closer to 10 and meant I nearly had my new insurance policy cancelled since they were unable to provide the documents they're legally required to provide. Sending these documents as standard when a policy ends would negate this issue. While COVID has made things harder, it's been more than a year now. It's not COVID's fault 14 months later, that's poor management. I feel sorry for the staff picking up the slack of the company not hiring sufficient resources. I dread to think how abysmal they would be to deal with in the event of a claim and would strongly advise everyone to give these con artists a wide berth. Absolutely one of the worst insurance companies I have ever dealt with and wouldn't recommend them to anyone except the FCA and the Financial Ombudsman

The company is scam. It lets you take out a policy and then sticks its fingers in its ears. They NEVER answer phone calls and NEVER answer emails. Just after a month I receive a text to say the policy has been cancelled. They basically just taken the money and run.

I have only recently bought a van insurance policy with this company. I have in the first days been trying to contact the company to discuss the policy. I emailed them and had no response. After a while I tried again and had no response. Called a variety of phone numbers in different departments to try and speak to someone. I called the regular customers service number more than ten times just in a day. Each time round was waiting ages. I hung up after waiting around ten minutes. One time I was waiting for 35 minutes, but in the end I put the phone down. I have not made a claim with the so-called insurance provider, so I can't comment on how they deal with a claim. But I will say, trying to get in touch with the company is the worst I have ever experienced. Sometimes it is better to pay a little extra, and go with a different insurance provider that is better reviewed and will pick up the phone.

Absolutely disgraceful. Home contents insurance cover from First Underwriting. Had a flood due to defective toilet part - liability of the insurer. Jane at First Underwriting trying everything they can to wriggle out of the claim. Absolute thieves.

Do not bother to waste your time or money on first insurance. Had a accident completely not my fault, and they do everything within there power to refuse to help. Was more concerned about assisting the 3rd party who crashed into me. Avoid this company 100%

If I could have voted 0 stars it would have been. More than £300 removed from my account on Friday which was their error. Told by them it would be back in my account by Monday morning, which it was not. Spoke to someone again on Monday morning to be told it would be the end of the day. What a surprise we are here on Tuesday midday and still no money. Its a disgrace that they can "internal error" take this money but do not seem to want to give it back. I now cannot pay my bills or my childrens school lunches due to their error. Will never use this company ever again once my insurance is up for renewel

Got my quote through money supermarket and after clicking through was told I need to ring them. Then had to spend over 40 minutes on the phone being asked exactly the same questions I'd completed online! I first thought it was a bit dodgy when they said I needed to send them my named drivers licence and NI number. Licence I can understand, but NI number? Nope. Rang up today to cancel. They said my deposit will come back to me after 25 days. Do not click through!

COMPLETELY AVOID! after writing in all my details onto go compare and clicking the “I confirm all these details are true” button. I then had to phone to confirm everything again, which took 50 minutes!! I have never known it take so long to buy insurance. I was lured in by a cheap quote, which was then increased after the call. I had to then argued that I have a driveway at my house, whilst they searched for it on google street view?!!! Will never use again.

Awful Service, rude, incompetent staff. The FCA need to take a good look at this shame of an insurance broker. DO NOT USE!!! I emailed the renewals team instructing them to lapse the policy from renewal. They did not action my request and auto renewed the policy and tried to charge me a time on risk charge even though I have proof that the instruction to lapse was sent 3 days before renewal, I pointed out that I could not have dual insurance and offered to send a copy of my new cert of insurance as evidence, they guy I spoke to said that regardless I was being charged, he then proceed to put the phone down on me!!!!

Disgusting company, worst ever experience of my life. Once you cancel the policy, and ask for your no claims bonus you will get no reply!! I have requested this 4 times now and by their terms and conditions they should provide this within 72 hours. It has been 7 days and my new car insurance is in jepoardy because they are waiting for my no claims bonus proof which I am struggling to get from these pieces of shiiiiteee! BEWARE, your in for a world of hurt if you do any sort of business with this company!!

Avoid! Got a good quote online, but said they needed to verify with me over the phone. No phone call so rang them several times, was fobbed off and told they would ring me back. Asked 100 questions and then told that the new quote was £150 more than stated online! Even though I answered the questions on the phone exactly as asked online. Told them to stick it and have gone with another trusted Insurer. Deceitful and terrible customer service please avoid!!

Absolute disgrace of a company, been with them over 5 years with no claims and no changes, changed number plate and address, cost me £81!!!! Absolute crooks. Will not be renewing, avoid at all costs. No wonder everyone is getting peeved off at getting ripped off.
