What's happened to Carol Nash? Used to be able to call and speak to someone who understood what you were insuring and had some kind of personality - but alas... no more! Brain dead call centre operators who I'm assuming have never insured anything in their lives. Called to discuss my renewal of £610 (Keep that figure in mind) that I received through the post - Found quotes online for over £100 cheaper with less excess and including more perks (like breakdown, helmet/leathers cover) so thought I'd give them a go at price matching. Called up, spent 20 mins listening to some guy drone on at me about what kind of cover I already have, and what my individual excesses are for different types of claims, then reconfirming what my details are, and checking when my renewal was due for the 7th time... He finally went off to get my more competitive quote and came back with a grand total of £867???? I'm all for the £250 price change but that's going the wrong way! Asked him to explain why it has gone up with no change apart from a years extra no claims, could he answer? Nope. Explained my other quote to him, tried to find a manager then said he couldn't make my renewal any cheaper... waste of time doesn't cover it. Come on CN, sort it out! You've lost me, my dad who was with you for over 12 years, and judging by these reviews... a LOT of others too.

What has happened to Carol Nash??? Every time you called up, you used to be able to speak to someone with half a brain cell who actually understood what you were insuring... but alas... no more! Got my insurance renewal through at £610 for the year, found a cheaper quote with Bikesure for over £100 cheaper (or £300 cheaper with MCE but not touching them with a barge pole) with less excess, including Helmet/leathers cover, Personal Accident, motor legal and breakdown so called CN to try get them to match it or reduce theirs a bit. 20 mins of a guy slowly telling me over and over what is included in the policy I already have with them, re-clarifying my personal information, telling me what my different excess' are for different things to come back with a new price of £867????!! I welcome the £250 change in policy price.. but that's going the wrong way! Explained the other quote I got, went to speak to a manager, came back and said the renewal quote is the cheapest he could get it anyway... Come on CN, sort it out. My Dad left you too after 12 years of insurance because of the 'new' pitiful customer service! See ya later!

Carole Nash Insurance. Easy and reasonably priced insurance But be very careful if you decide to sell or change your bike mid term Carole Nash will charge you a hefty fee to cancel your insurance

I've been with Carole Nash for years and have only just realised (after a chance discussion with a mate) that I've been getting ripped off. I stupidly hadn't really checked the renewals, which this year came in at £255. A quick check on the compare sites and I should be paying £75! To rub salt into the wounds, of the 25 quotes, the most expensive was Carole Nash - in at £180, so still £75 cheaper than my renewal! Just cancelled the insurance with them and would recommend everyone else does the same!!

Just to let everyone know, I've just left Carole Nash Insurance for ever. I'd been with them for decades, since I was a kid really. At the bike club, some scare stories were beginning to circulate, but I took no notice, I trusted Carole Nash. Silly Me. They hung me out to dry in northern France. Worse, they lied to me, openly lied to me, just a mile from the ferry port. Oh, the ferry company won't take broken down vehicles back to the UK. Over and over they demanded I have my vehicle taken to a local garage (that was shut) and go home by train, leaving my bike in France. I'm fully aware that in doing this, you can get charged exorbitant prices for repairs and storage, till you go back to pick your vehicle/bike up. I was repeatedly lied to, No, you can't take your broken down vehicle onto the ferry. Totally, Totally Untrue. Sounds like a scam to me, for sure. When Carole Nash did a half arsed enquiry into my complaints, they lied again. oh, sorry, we have no record of the calls between you and our French agents, no record of anyone saying to you that you had to leave your vehicle in France. One of their calls to me, and they were even calling me while we were at sea, said it was too expensive for them to repatriate me. Please take a look at all the negative reviews, this company is not what it was. I will never use them again.

Carole Nash used to be a really good insurance company, unfortunately the owner sold it. It is now part of Ardonagh Group. Now, even renewing is a horrible, horrible experience.

I renewed my insurance with Carole Nash in June 2019, confirmed payment made via my bank account as a single card transaction. Today I decided to start getting ready to get my classic car ready for Spring 2020, checked the Tax status but found out my vehicle is not shown on the (MID) as having any insurance at all. Not Happy Carole Nash as I drove my vehicle for 4 months last year with no insurance after you took my money.

sold my bike halfway through my year insurance, initial cost was only £60 and was told i would get a £20 refund...BUT, then then told me i still had to pay another £30 to cancel, this was due to them wanting £50 cancellation charge, so they kept the refund and demanded another £30 from me , six months insurance had now cost me £90, when it only cost £60 for the year. I phoned and asked for a bill showing on it what the payment was for, when i got the letter , it just said a shortfall in my insurance, i had paid in full for my insurance, so still waiting for a bill to show why i owe this money, In the meantime i have contacted the Financial ombudsman's office as ii dont think this is a fair charge.

Everything was going fine until I moved and had to change address. The insurance company cancelled my insurance because I don’t have a garage anymore. I had no problem with this. But Carole Nash trued to charge me £50 brokers cancellation fee. I didn’t see why I had to pay this as I never cancelled the policy. A two hour phone call still didn’t resolve this and was told a supervisor would ring me within 48hrs. This left my bike uninsured which if it was stolen in that time I would have got nothing. They didn’t ring back, I had to ring them. Got told nothing could be done until after the weekend. Anyway another half hour later I managed to break free from them and didn’t pay the cancellation fee. I will never use this company again. Absolutely useless.

Had a multi bike policy phoned to cancel a bike as I had sold it, renewed the policy only 20 days earlier at £370 and was told that the refund was only £40, that works out at £200 for twenty days cover as remaining bike only cost just over £120 for year, daylight robbery, customer service during the call to change above was dreadful, no help, no policy advice, had to call three times to get policy to be corrected, clearly once they have your money they will do everything they can to keep it, been with Carole Nash for years will never renew again.

DO NOT INSURE A BIKE WITH CAROL NASH. Check all the below reviews. I am in the same predicament. Have insured a bike with them for 2 yrs. Renewed 3 months ago. Policy cost £50 . As small bike. I have 40 yrs ncb. I have changed bike so told them i would like to change the policy. All they are interested in is the funds. No customer service whatsoever. £50 cancelation fees. £22 alteration fees. I will have to pay them an extra £20 to cancel the policy and release my ncb to use on the bew bike. They used to be a good insurer years ago, but no way will i use them again. Will have some fun at next show sponsered by them as i warn prospective customers just what they are like. They also have added in extras you HAVE to have whather you want it or not.

Acquired insurance policy last week still not received any documents asked on a number of occasions but nothing a bit concerned that I am even covered, funnily the money was taken immediately. I would recommend using other insurers than this one

Its a shame but as the reviews show they appear to have gone down hill in service (been with them for years on and off). £230 to insure my 650 vstrom great. After a month i renewed the bike to a newer 650 vstrom Carole nash wanted an additional £400!!! to change the bike over. I canceled the policy and after only a months insurance recieved £80 refund out of the £230 premium. Fingers well and truly burnt

Asked for a quote for annual travel insurance for my wife and myself. We are 62 and in good health. Was quoted about £1200. Absolutely speechless. I simply said that I'm wasting my time and hung up. Used P&O for £171.

Policy renewal was agreed and money taken. 2 days later they informed me that they'd changed the conditions of the policy and I was no longer covered. Cancelled verbally and online but still being hounded for money whilst no cover was being provided. Money grabbing con artists no doubt making a fortune out of taking money whilst providing no cover. This company is without fail the worst I've ever experienced of in 34 years of driving cars and riding motorcycles.

Think twice before notifying sale of bike and requesting cancellation with Carole Nash. Renewed my bike insurance on 24th September 2019, cancelled on25th November due to ill health. Refunded £47.81 on the insurance BUT charged £50 cancellation fee! Therefore instead of getting a refund I owed an extra £2.19! Big deal though, the agent spoke to a manager so I cancelled for nothing.
