“My wife's car insurance was raised from £400 to £1156. She has not claimed, she has a clean 20 year driving history. Please do not get an insurance policy from these people. We got a policy for £340.00 with same cover from a different company. Please DONT get a car insurance from these people. I will never!!!!!”
“Absolute extortion. No convictions, crashes or anything else to put up my insurance but found Kwik Fit charging me £846 as opposed to under £200 a year for car insurance (£91 as opposed to £18 a month). They claimed that there panel of insurers provided them with a "more competitive renewal price". Do not automatically renew insurance with them (for the first time in years I missed the small print "do not automatically renew" box). Even when I went to cancel they charged me £170 for one month including cancellation fees, which after my complaining they reduced to £95. Be very cautious if you insure with Kwik Fit. Their panel of insurers are very limited and Kwik Fit will not quibble about a £700 hike in your annual bill.”
“Kwik Fit should not be authorised by the regulator to sell Motor insurance. They are a total disgrace. I moved from Aviva from 7th October 2016, on 9th October !!! Kwik Fit cancelled my new policy with them saying "despite various requests for proof of your No claims bonus, we are giving you 7 days notice of cancellation". This was total hogwash and when I returned from holiday to see this I was fuming. DO NOT BUY CAR INSURANCE FROM THESE CHARLATANS”
“Twice made a claim for my pet, delayed every time. Waiting on medical records to come from a previous vet is the excuse they are making now, they were sent to my present vet in 2015 . How difficult is it ? Can never get through on phone and they rarely call you back. Tried to find a complaints number on website and it's the same number for everything !!
Seriously considering changing my insurer once this is sorted out. Disgruntled to say the least”
“Kwikfit automatically renewed my insurance at a cost of £869 and i was inaware of ths until I saw my direct debit.
They say there is a box to tick to prevent this when taking the insurance but youd never notice it in small print.
I cancelled and found my insurance for £299 and they refuse to reimburse and then offered it me cheaper but still over £600.
Do not use these thieves !!!”
“I have had several pet insurance claims over the past year - I have three dogs insured with Kwikfit. Each time I have had to follow up each claim several times as they claim not to have received the forms from my vet. It takes weeks to settle anything. I have also complained about the website because it is almost impossible to find a contact number to speak with anyone. Extremely frustrating and hopeless customer service.”
“Key locked in car ,had key cover ,said my key was covered for everything but. Call centre in Africa they couldn't care less. Left stranded mid winter locked out of my car in a tee shirt. SCUM.”
“After someone hitting our car kwik fit was quick to get it repaired as we was comprehensive.Then the insurance came to and end and we had to renew it ,so we did they told us that we had a claim going though so it would cost us a lot more money than last year .so we paid up as we was told that when it was settled and the other part admitted liability we would be reimbursed.we didn't get any money back but charge more or the policy will lapses .Dont touch this company with a barge poll people. They was rude to us and all they want is your money .Gary one of the manage should not be in charge of any company ...”
“After taking out car insurance I was told to picture message 'proof of address ' never had to do this with a company before!!
Sent documents in sent picture messages in to be told it still wasn't enough and they cancelled my policy.

“Spoke to some woman named Catherine regarding my policy her accent was lovely (Scottish) but her attitude was appalling. I hadn't wanted to renew my policy but this had been done automatically and I simply wanted to note my displeasure and make sure that it wasn't renewed again in this mannor. “Appalling!!!!! No accidents or points, no changes in my policy at all but renewal had more than double. Which I am certain I was not informed of renewal to promt my memory to cancel at that price! Going through complaints, I have paid in 4 month what I paid for my annual insurance last year. Disgusted and will be taking the company further on the Ombudsman if I do not get money back or hugely discount for the rest of the year! DO NOT USE THEM!!”
“Kwikfit's renewal quote was twice the amount that I found with another insurer online. Unbeknownst to me KwikFit renewed my insurance policy and then sent a menacing letter demanding payment for a policy I had not requested them to renew. When I phoned up I was treated rudely and told that although they were now cancelling the policy, I still owed them for the cover (that I never requested) prior to my phone call. To avoid this I must now write to them with proof of my other insurance, which is a bit of a hassle. I will avoid this company in future.”
“This company assists with making false insurance claims and scams- I received a phone call from them about an accident I was supposedly involved in in May 2013 - this was totally incorrect and I even assisted in full with the investigation - even allowing then to view my car but despite this they have lodged this non accident on my insurance so naturally I am advising their regulatory body accordingly - AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST”

Took out a 2nd car insurance with them and this has turned into a complete nightmare because no matter how many times I sent the docs they asked for they still weren't happy. Needless to say the policy is being cancelled! I'll never ever use them again!”
