The person talks too fast when talking about costs, 1st quoted higher premium for my renewal than my original policy, only changed when I said what my renewal quote was that I had received days before my original policy ran out, also I have received all booklet details, but not yet received my actual policy that gives my moped details, IE, model, reg, date policy starts and finishes

I renewed my insurance over the phone, and am actually amazed i wven received the documents. The girl i spoke to stuttered throgh everything, kept repeating herself and when i gave my paymentt details went to hang up ! I had to practically scream down the phone to keep her on so i could get a word in edgeways !

OK,but agent operating from home I think so line was bad. I got disconnected twice in mid transaction. If this is the new method of business then some decent connections need arranging. I had the same trouble with Hastings last year.

Tried to renew my policy by telephone, but unfortunately the person I spoke to had an accent that was hard to understand. Eventually it became clear that he couldn’t renew the policy himself, so I was transferred to another department, and joined a ‘phone queue. I eventually hung up, and renewed my policy via the website, as though I was a new customer.

It’s a good insurer but the waiting time on the phone is outrageous. Just a simple renewal can take up to 1 hour just to get trough and speak to someone. Once you do that, customer service is actually good and sales department works professionally

Proffessional, helpful and polite, oh patient too as I changed my mind several times during my call so all very good. You lose two stars as I was on hold for 30 minutes before I got to speak with someone. Time is precious, employ a few more operators.

Got quote on compare.com, very happy with price so tried to insure two Bikes on line, came up with Error and told me to phone, after being passed from pillar to post and being on the phone for more than an hour I was just about to give up when I eventually got through to someone very helpful who explained what boxes to tick on their website, YEY I managed it. Big tip, if you need Help, DON’T PHONE.

After sitting in a phone que for 50 mins twice I started a live chat and asked them to get hold of me. When they contacted me my renewal quote of £220 "expired" and going of off my original details my new quote was £265 because of todays quotation rates. I told them I would look elsewhere. Go compare with the exact same details 10 minutes after the call brought up mce as my cheapest quote. £220. Also on the portal the number advertised says open Sunday 8:00 - 16:00 and the phone says stay on the line to be connected. Found out monday that all sales is closed Sundays. Cheap yes, but service is also.

Fair enough quote, but why the need for a 30 min phone call? 21st century, payment gateway for renewals please.

Id like to change the payment date but there is no option like this on the website and no one to discus that live so its a bit of a disapointing

Not happy that i ended up with my bike not being insured. Then being told to renew on line. I used to get a phone call and i renewed over the phone. Then, when simeone knocked me off my bike the just oassed me on to another compaany to sort it who were garbage! Just like all the other companies now im afraid.

Cheapest insurance around but not the best customer service. I had service issues last year but cheapest renewal so stayed. I couldn’t pay for renewal online, phone busy, so filled in form for call back, twice, but never happened. Did get through in end.

Already had a policy with MCE, that had run for 4 months , had a quote on line for a new policy of £216, yet to transfer my new bike it was £255. Only got refunded £16 from old policy, but still cheaper than transferring my bike , so a years insurance wasted. Pleased up to that point with service.

Prices were the best I could, Anywhere so that's good. However the service trying to get the renewal was very poor imo. After being emailed my renewal quote I was told I can't have my renewal quote as they work off live prices. This was only a few days after I got a chance to purchase it on my days off from work. So I don't understand the point of sending a renewal quote when they can't even match it. Then being on phones for hours because the ins team made errors and wrong prices because they failed to put on a 20 pound admin fee and being put on hold 4 x for 20 minutes ago was not my idea of a smooth dealing with insurance. Good prices but poor service. Thanks

I was with MCE insurance for 12 months an my renewal came up, I had to take out another policy which the deposit was 276 pound which I paid but they had took the deposit twice! I phoned them up an it too 3 hours too get through to someone who then said they will send the complaint to the finance side! Apart from that everything was straight forward and ok they send all your documents straight away and have an app you can look at them or get them up whenever you need to. The only problem is getting in touch with them if you have a problem. They are good enough when you finally get through to them on the phone! But why they too the deposit twice I still have to find out it’s been 5 days an still no one has got back to me.

When you buy a bike/car the V5 document is sent off to the DVLA MCE badger you with messages and emails stating they need the V5 document or the policy will be cancelled, the only part of the V5 document is the green new keeper part which proves nothing at this stage.
