Cheapest insurance around but got it less on gocompare site. Sending paperwork was fast. What let's mce down is the phone service Very poor, tried phoning this took me over 2 days 2 1/2 hours of waiting on the phone with poor looped music. 3 stars mce you need to really need to work on your phone service, this is letting your customers down badly.

No they never made me happy! Why can you do individual bikes no problem ( that I won’t moan about but when it multi bikes you need to phone then they have you hanging in the phone for half a hour! Did I get multi bike insurance! NO, I had to do 2 single bike lot easier

It was a great customer service but the quote was too high, after 3 years been a customer with no points or accidents I think we should received better rates every year

Never received a message to tell me about renewal took 3 days to speak to someone when I did it was short and sweet and price did not come down much

The reason for the score of three ( which is quite generous ) l received and e - mail stating that using my last years details the price would be £92 , l tried using the on line system but it would not let me use the year of my bike which is 2008 , as it only showed the earliest year for my bike at 2010 . I had to then phone the contact number , after a conversation with the person on the other end of the line the cost increased to £138 even after the person on the end of the line entered their discount code . Will stay with the company for this year but will look for a better deal next year

The quote was good for my bike but the stress and confusion . If u need to ring this company for anything take a couple of days off work And be ready to be cut off live chat line not helping Disponting.. this is not the staff fault ...they where polite and helpful But I think the company should invest in more staff to answer the phones ... By the end of this I was totally stressed out

Took out new policy online process said card payment decline (unsure why) so checked email and policy gone through ok, checked bank and payment went through ok so website has payment glitch! Don’t try phoning them as never answer, also tried live chat which failed. IT process needs sorting.

Generally good service ie: quotes and purchase but only used MCE because of the good price, Bennetts are my preferred insurer but were more expensive. The MCE Android App doesn't work at all so is a waste of time downloading and the emailed documents do not open properly either.

Was unable to retrieve an earlier quote that I had done,so had to go through the whole episode again,only to get a price that was dearer than the first quote I got. Tried phoning MCE and was told that they don’t haggle,so ended up paying more for the insurance than it should have been. I stuck with MCE through loyalty,but will shop around next time

Same as last reviewer, spent 45 min on hold, got fed up waiting, and eventually managed to fill in details online !! Wanted just to renew as my circumstances haven’t changed, but that would be far too easy wouldn’t it . Spoke to someone on the phone eventually but didn’t help anything, so did it online 🤦‍♂️

Tried to speak to someone in person but was on hold for 45 minutes.Ended up going on line to insure my bike which was pretty straight forward.

I didn’t get a renewal letter, it’s up to the individual to get another quote, which is a pain as they already have all my data. Been using bike insurance since 1976 and I’ve always had a renewal letter as well as a reminder, apart from here. So I rushed it, and got the renewal date wrong, so I went a day without being insured. I had also spoke to customer service team, who somewhat abruptly told me I need to speak to sales. Decided to go to my downloads to check documentation and the policy schedule was blank. So I phoned customer services, unfortunately, it was sales who answered it and told me I had to phone customer services. Whilst waiting for the transfer, which I wasn’t convinced would happen, I went onto online chat, who assured me my docs would be resent to my download folder. I actually did the renewal thro go compare, easy and cheap. So, I’d love to know why we don’t get renewal letters with a new price, which, if it looks ok, you just renew and save all this hassle.... and you don’t miss a day.

The price is excellent, the service is good when you can get an English speaking person. I have used them three years consecutive and they have been good , however this time it was a nightmare trying to do it on the phone with a guy with terrible English, did it online and the payment went through twice , have to wait up to 14 days to get it back

price great but getting a login to the document online virtually impossible to do as for getting hold of someone to talk to about the issue non existent four calls at 30mins a piece and not even talking to a soul was infuriating eventually went to online chat and the issue still hasn't been resolved were meant to send insurance docs to me but didn't come for another 2 days other than that everything great

I found the on-line quotation form fairly straightforward to complete but, having made one or two adjustments, the system then asked me to ring for a quotation. I spent some time on hold - during which time the automated response suggested I use the on-line system to avoid waiting (!!) - and then reached a very helpful staff member. However, she needed to refer me to another department. I then spent a considerable amount of time on hold again and in the end had to ring off and ring back! The second staff member I spoke to was also very helpful and we were able to complete the insurance purchase. However, like other customers, I was told that my documents would be with me by email within 48 hours and I have not yet received these either by post or email. The rating I have given MCE Insurance takes account of all the pros and cons of my customer experience but I confess that the price of my MCE Insurance was by far the best available from several comparison websites that I tried.
