Rang customer service 11th June to get a multi bike quote ended up been the best quote so decided to go ahead with it so rang back on 24th June to find out that the quote had now gone up by £2 but still a quote is a quote, so never mind went ahead with it after another 40 mins on the phone. Waited 7 days still no documents just last years that they sent me once again, so another phone call lasting another 36 mins to get documents, so with time wasted cost of calls and the £2 extra on quote not ended up with best deal.

Very competitive quote, but phone number on quote does not exist (the 0844 number), when clicking 'Buy Now' on quote, the email entered says is not recognised (it was the same address the quote was sent to) so I had to re-quote and re-enter all my details again, and my bike registration was not recognised (it was last year)

had to go through everything again that i had done on line only then to have to call them, this was another 40mins of my life gone, still waiting for my documents!!! but funny enough the full payment has gone from my account to theirs cleared funds, so that part works ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still waiting for my insurance documents. I have phoned because they sent last year's document so they sent them again and still they sent last year's document. I give up.

Very happy with the internet service to buy the insurance initially. But then told I could not get home cover online so had to call them back. But the lady at finance department couldn’t help me so I had to call another number. Did that and was told it was a call back service. They tried me once a few days later but then not again. So I called again on Monday 6 July and although the message said lines are open from 830am it kept telling me it’s not open now. So am still not insured for home cover and the call service is clearly not up to it.

Happy enough apart from a ridiculous price jump if paying monthly. Think I’ll be shopping around at my next renewal.

I have been with MCE for a few years and always had excellent service told my documents would be Emailed and to allow 48 hours no complaints in the past. This year a disaster already email to ask why I am still waiting and NO reply. So still waiting, normally a 5 Star review

Interesting that I got a policy for twenty pounds cheaper on line than I did by trying to get one over the phone. I never thought your phone operatives would cost £20 for a five minute call. I’m obviously in the wrong job.

I CLICKED BUY NOW ON LINE, ENTERED MY CARD DETAILS AND CLICKED BUY. THE SCREEN WENT BLANK. I TRIED AGAIN AND IT SAID IT CANNOT RETRIEVE MY QUOTE. THIS VERY SAME PROBLEM OCCURED LAST YEAR, AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT. I DREAD RENEWING MY INSURANCE EACH YEAR BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM OF PAYING ON LINE. MCE HAVE INSURED MY BIKES FOR THE LAST ELEVEN YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER HAD TO MAKE A CLAIM. THE THOUGHT OF HAVING TO MAKE CLAIM IS AWFUL.

I was previously a customer of your but tried many many times for long periods to get through to you for a price in the end gave up and had to buy online

Easy to renew on line and good price . would have been 5 star but I tried to ring 0844 number with a question but was charged £8 on my mobile bill !!

Renewed two policies a couple of weeks apart. I am rating 3 stars as 1 star removed as the renewal process could be a lot simpler by retaining my info from the previous policy. The second star is because it was cheaper to renew via a comparison website than going directly to the MCE site

I renewed with you online for a 3rd year as when trying to discuss my renewal on the phone the price could not be matched to the one online or was anywhere even close. The lady on the phone was slightly rude and even tried to accuse me of cutting corners on the policy I had been quoted online and that I wouldn't be paid out if I had lied as she thought I was lying. Anyway paid for my policy online hopefully i won't ever need to use them and had better pay out in the even I should as my excess is £950.

Happy ? Not completely. I renewed my insurance with you on-line this year because again, you offered the best deal. However, I have two motorbikes, I wanted to have them both on one policy but there is no provision on your website to insure more than one m'c. so now I have two separate policies with no claims bonus only applied to one. Not ideal. I like your inclusion of breakdown cover.
