“Missed my renewal. This made life difficult as all documents from old policy were no longer on portal, so a phone call it was.. looked up the number on the net, called the number, told me number wasn't used call blar blar, £8 that cost. Then received a message telling me MCE's number is blar blar, £3 that cost to receive (didn't even know text could do that) took a policy out with MCE before i noticed the charges on my phone. gutted. when i cast my mind back, i also had a £17 phone call to MCE 5 years ago when i made changes to my policy. There's just no need. No problems with the policy.”

“Not being able to speak to someone in person is a backwards move. Getting my reg wrong before the policy started and then having to pay £75 to change it is wrong. Cancelling a policy just after one month because it’s cheaper than changing a policy then only getting half the premium back is also wrong. Not happy at all with this”

“Seems to get worse every year , last year was done out of a years ncb,as the part of mce I was with went bust . So policy was cancelled with 6 months remaining .and got a fraction back . This year I can no longer take a pillion or ride another bike, as I could the previous year , even though no change on my part . So all in all time to look for an alternative”

“Service is quick and easy to use - got two stars for that, my premium doubled upon my latest renewal for no reason at all. The reason I was given was well it’s going up for everyone not just you. Makes no sense to double it for no fault of my own. I then had to wait for my insurance to expire and get a quote as a new customer to save £100 off the doubled premium.”

“Not a company I will ever go to again. Even when you cancel before the policy starts and the day of the 30 day right to cancellation they charge a ridiculous amount. So glad I got out before the policy started.”
