The portal would not open when trying to renew my policy. A very frustrating and disappointing experience this year

I just had an extremely frustrating experience trying to clarify points of my renewal policy. Logged onto the portal which gave few options. Tried through this to message the team, this didn't work. Called the number and selected the option 'issues with portal' to then be told by the call taker to log on to my portal, which I was. Unfortunately I found the call taker very difficult to understand and she kept asking me to do what I'd already done. After going around in circles for a while she then told me that i have to log into a new portal of which there was no mention of previously and no instruction. As well as that, my premium has gone up by around 30% Not a good experience this year, wouldn't recommend.

My premium has gone up 30%, I couldn’t get into my portal as they had completed IT works that they did not advise anyone of that was blocking my entry , and I could neither get through on online chat when needed . When I did eventually get through , the assistance was very good . I used to put up with the bad service as they were quite cheap, however, now that this no longer seems to be the case, I’ll be shopping around for the next one.

The price was good, but I think that the customer experience is absolutely horrific. I only use these because the price is usually better than elsewhere. I had a running with these, earlier last year. My motorbike was involved in an incident at work. I didn't want to involve my motorbike insurance, because macams was dealing with it. None the less, MCE ended up getting involved, the way that I was treat was awful. As with all insurance companies! We do it because we have to. Not because we want to converse with them. Another year, another hike in price.

Could not renew online. Live Chat was useless. Took ages to renew on the phone. Almost gave up. Will be going with a different provider if not sorted by renewal time.

The Renwal process was very time consuming for whatever reason I was unable to log into my account and it took a very long time to get the problem sorted over an hour on the phone.

MCE are a reliable company, good prices and options. I've used them for many years now, I've never claimed anything mind you, apart from a breakdown call for a flat battery which is included in the insurance. Recommended

I renewed my policy and the money was taken, but no renewal, i phoned up and was made to pay again leaving me with hardly any money until the first payment is sent back, it has been 4 days and i still have no payment back

Can't update policy over the phone. You make it so difficult to actually speak to someone. The policy will not open on line. Not good enough

Good price for renewal. Online portal not great - had to select new card option even though card had been stored - needed to phone to get this sorted out.
