Worst customer service I've ever had from an insurance company. Extremely excessive admin charges and when I spoke to one of the agents from MCE, they were no help whatsoever. Will never recommend or use MCE again.

You are the worst company . 7 of 8 instalments payed lost 5 months of insurance lost 400£ deposit lost 3 months that been overpaid. To all new customers do not buy insurance from them

I was looking to insure my trials bike so I could take part in road trials. I carefully read all the documents beforehand and the only exclusion mentioned was racing on race circuits or closed roads, with a definition of racing involving speed and time. Purchased the policy and received the Certificate of Motor Insurance which suddenly states that use for trials is not covered. I was mis-sold this policy as this exclusion was never mentioned until I'd bought the policy and even in the cooling off period it would cost me £45 to cancel it. Very poor service. Definitely would not recommend this company!

absolutely diabolical would not get bike insurance from this company ever againtrying to rip people off with a late fee over christmas money was in account but they didnt take it and now charging me £48 to keep my partners bike insured when monthly payments are normally £18 rip off a company wont be recommending

Since I've been with mce insurance it's just been nothing but stress, I've never known an insurance company that cannot move a payment date to a different day & an insurance company that isn't understand. If you want a insurance company that's just after money this one is the one you wanna go for. Customer service is poor they don't know what they're doing.

What an absolute nightmare three hours… What an absolute nightmare three hours of my life I just spent trying to get reinsured by MCE. I was passed from pillar to post and asked to make phone call after phone call and then go online to apply for insurance as a new customer even though I am a returning customer. The story goes on…. So I was initially told I wouldn’t be insured by MCE so I decided to get insurance with a different company. MCE then decided that they could in fact insure me, and sent me email after email over a one month period. Quoting me prices as low as £220 to insure me on my bike. They the called me again last Friday 10th of December and said they would insure me for £296. I said that I had already insured myself with another company as MCE had previously told me the could no longer insure me. They told me to cancel my insurance and come back to them. They also told me they would hold the price of £296. They didn’t!!! On Monday 13th I proceeded to cancel with my other insurance company and had to pay a cancellation fee of £30. I then called MCE and they said they could hold the initial quote of £296 and I now had to pay £433 as the work on a day to day market rate. They then said it might be cheaper if I filled out a completely new insurance quote on their website. This took the best part of half an hour and at the end of this process I still had to call MCE and give them a reference number. When I gave them the reference number they said it didn’t work and I had to do another quote with them on the phone I spent about 2 1/2 hours of my morning doing this at this stage. I then had to endure another 25 minute phone call for a quote and registration with them for insurance. When I finally got to the end of the application (3rd one of the day) they charged me £499 instead of the previously quoted £433. As I gave them my bank details they processed the payment and instead of £499 coming out of my bank account £519 came out of my bank account. I saw this as it came up on my telephone banking app as a notification on my phone, I then asked the person on the phone from MCE why I was charged an extra £20 and he said because I had added extra breakdown cover to my quote. I had added the breakdown cover before I even gave him my banking details, so I’m shocked that he added the £20 fee on top. All in all I felt like I was being offered something very different to what I actually came away with. I ended up paying almost £300 more than I had originally been quoted and the customer service was woeful at best

Pretty awful experience so far. Sure the price is cheap, but that is where the advantages finish. Within 24h of taking out the policy, I called to upgrade cover to fully comp...£72 admin fee for that. Can I cancel and start the policy again? (think cooling off period)...£75 admin fee for that. A few days later I get an email stating that a garage must be made of certain materials, wood not included (despite 3 lock on it. Hands up I did not read every page of the conditions) I call to review the cover...£72 admin fee for that (still in cooling of period). A few days of exchanges I finally get fed up and want to cancel. Sorry you are out of cooling off period...cancellation will now cost £200. Reminder set to cancel at the end of the insured term and go elsewhere. Customer service? Nope.

Whatever you do do not use this company and they are in administration even if the UK co is still operating the co is a rip off , They take your money and when you try to cancel you find out the truth . The FCA hopefully will take a tough line with the directors please please go elsewhere dont insure with them

UNATHORIZED CANCELLATION midway through my annual motorbike insurance, then refuse to repay me the difference!! DO NOT USE!!!

Customer service is appalling. Nobody knows what they are talking about. They will leave you high and dry when an accident is not your fault.

False advertised recovery service. After a accident they refused to recover my motorbike from from side off road ,it was later stolen from side off road. Never to here from them again.One star is to many, avoid this insurance firm.

Please avoid this company. They will not fight your corner if you had an accident that was not your fault. Worst insurance I have ever delt with. Thanks for the 8 months of real stress MCE insurance

Unfortunately I can’t leave zero stars ***WARNING*** god forbid you breakdown or have an accident after office hours you will not be assured Unsympathetic to any minor banking issues or discrepancies you may encounter True pocket liners and that’s it

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!! failed to take payment every month so every month i was having to call up and in doing so being charged a serv charge of 35 per time. Also had no updates of when the policy lapsed and never offered renewal terms. it is now 26 days after my policy ended and i am still chasing NCD. What a disgrace of a company

Not happy at all had x2 motorbike on my policy noway to add a addition bike then want to charge me 70 pound administration fee why iv made no change its due to your online site not my fault asked to speak to a manager and was left on hold for a longtime then got cut off not happy at all

The worst experience ever they charged me £51 for address change which is only 1 mile from my previous address altogether my policy is about£190/annum its more than 25% of the total amount & when I asked to cancel & do refund they can refund £24 only bought this policy in July I've been with them for 8 years never made any claims only spoken to them a couple of times for renewals. That's how they treat their loyal customers. I wonder how government allowed them to run such a scam so blatantly. I've never paid any money to update my address ever before.
