“At the end of the application, a window appeared saying my card payment had been declined. I wasn't able to retrieve my application form on line so I telephoned the given number. Eventually the call was answered and a lady informed me the payment had been received but she needed to put me through to a colleague. I was put on hold and gave up waiting after 40 minutes. I received an email indicating I was insured but had to register to get hold of the policy. The link didn't work. I called the number again. It didn't work (number not recognised message). I tried the on line chat and immediately got a response. I was sent another email with a link. I submitted the information and am still waiting for the necessary email response to give me a means of accessing the policy. The person "chatting" on line gave up when I informed them it hadn't been successful. I don't think I've been scammed but I still am unsure if I have valid insurance and if so and needed to claim, I can only imagine how impossible that might be. I guess you get what you pay for and they offered the lowest price. Lesson re-learnt!”

“The quote was good for my bike but the stress and confusion . If u need to ring this company for anything take a couple of days off work And be ready to be cut off live chat line not helping Disponting.. this is not the staff fault ...they where polite and helpful But I think the company should invest in more staff to answer the phones ... By the end of this I was totally stressed out”

“Very good price, hence two stars. Credit card payment failed to complete, twice. It was Saturday so left it until Monday, credit card payment failed to complete, despite buying other things inbetween. Tride my debit card, seemed to work. Waited for email with policy details nothing. Tuesday still nothing, checked bank account, payment was still pending. Wednesday opened a live web chat, gave my ref number, name. DOB, address and was told she could not find me on the system and I had to phone 01933 351 361 to which I said what and pay 10p a minute. She said she could not get me a call back. So I phoned but the line was dead, did not even ring. Back on the live chat said the number is dead, Carlos said they were having an update, what was my problem, so I explained again and Carlos said he would try to find out.... at this moment I gat an email from MCE with my policy details etc.”

“Possibly the worse customer service i have ever experienced, been trying for 3 days, over 3 hours on the phone trying to talk to a call centre who do not understand a thing about bikes or insurance. Banging my head against the wall”

“Took out new policy online process said card payment decline (unsure why) so checked email and policy gone through ok, checked bank and payment went through ok so website has payment glitch! Don’t try phoning them as never answer, also tried live chat which failed. IT process needs sorting.”

“Price was reasonable. Took an age to answer the phone to get refunded my mispayments. I tried to purchase the policy online. However my payment said it couldn’t process despite be directed to my banks security questions, to which i answered. I done this a number of times and got charged 5 times despite it saying it couldn't process. I have been refunded. MCE needs to employ a better IT support team. Questionable service when you come to claim. Just search on facebook. Never again.”

“Could not do online was advised to call, no answer in 4 times of calling, lasted over 20 mins each time, online chat asked for call back 3 times no call back asked again the last time after my insurance had run out and advised if no return ill seak alternative insurance promted a responce, realy not good”

“Generally good service ie: quotes and purchase but only used MCE because of the good price, Bennetts are my preferred insurer but were more expensive. The MCE Android App doesn't work at all so is a waste of time downloading and the emailed documents do not open properly either.”

“Was unable to retrieve an earlier quote that I had done,so had to go through the whole episode again,only to get a price that was dearer than the first quote I got. Tried phoning MCE and was told that they don’t haggle,so ended up paying more for the insurance than it should have been. I stuck with MCE through loyalty,but will shop around next time”
