All these reviews are fraudulent.This is one of the worst companies apart from collected thousands of pounds of your money they offer nothing in return. Customer service outsourced to an Asian Country.When you call they seem more lost than the customer.Only thing they know is collect Money. I will give zero stars or even minus.There are better insurance companies elsewhere.

During COVID year. With all the restrictions on all travel. They still bumped my up premium by 15%..... First call. Polite young lady told me take it or leave it basically. Second call (my fault for not doing my usual price comparison in advance). Best they could do was "increase" my mileage allowance (while travel I still restricted) and added pillion....which I definitely did not want. Oh! Renewing does not mean your policy terms and conditions seamless carry over. You are still on probationary period of 10 days BEFORE your full coverage is in place. I had to get him to confirm this with me.......did not believe it the first time That is a first for me. And the last with MCE unfortunately. Loyalty goes out the window when you feel let down. I will not make the same mistake on next renewal.

Changed my current MCE policy Triumph T100 to a Triumph T120 My insurance is due for renewal on 31st May 2021, so 41 days cover required and I've been charged £65. I'm 60 and I've been with MCE for a while, never claimed. Won't be renewing at the end of May

what a bunch of Dickheads con artists, they charged me for a mistake that they made ! pay a higher premium and for the better company because you will end up paying more with these dickheads in the long run anyways and the customer service is shoddy requested a call back they said 72 hours they never called me back. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Appalling service, got my policy wrong and want to charge me extra to correct it even though they have a recorded phone call where they were informed of the correct details when the policy was taken out, they've even admitted the correct details were given.

THE WORST COMPANY IVE EVER DEALT WITH. PAYMENT DUE ON THE 11TH OF EACH MONTH. CALLED ON THE 11TH THEN TOLD OWE EXTRA £30 FOR LATE FEES. ABSOLUTE RIP OFF. CAN'T WAIT FOR INSURANCE TO END. PLEASE LOOK FOR A BETTER COMPANY....

There is nothing right about that company. I insured with them as they were the cheapest but I regret it. Won’t do it agin. Customer service is unacceptable. They don’t know the details of policies and are slow and incredibly rude. I tried to add rider to my policy and it took 50 min to find out that I have to pay extra and they couldn’t tell me how much? Go figure. I also asked for quote for another bike and based on that I went to purchase the bike to find out they misquoted me by 3k. I am not joking they gave me quote lower by three thousand pounds - they made mistake.

I was knocked off my bike & MCE put Fletcher's solicitors on to me....they didn't want to know so I did everything myself .....it took me 2 year's to get the case heard in court where I won £4000 in for personal injury & damages to the bike.....MCE are very good as long as you don't have an accident

Wow they really want to let you talk about customer service??? Rip off merchants this company stating they couldn't take payments via direct debit and say continuous payments were failing as funds weren't available when there was money sat there..funnily enough when there was 30 quid on top they were able to take the payment no problem at all.. customer service was like groundhog day where you can't speak to anyone about your issue with mce but they'd be happy to take the payment plus 30 quid....customer resolution team were going to ring me back to sort within 72 hours but then 12 hours later mce took the full payment anyway including the extra 30 quid...fuming and very lucky there isn't a local office

Avoid absolute cow boys wouldn't bother going cheaper as with these its not better just pay a little more and go with a better company as these are just rip off. Their customer service is useless...

I cancelled my policy due to me not using the vehicle the guy from the office was rude when asking why Icancelled and now they won't acknowledge me to get my proof of no claims, NOT GOOD

If your reading this you have already suffered enough. To start with totally clueless when taking your money, which by chance is the only time you'll speak to someone. I had the wrong policy details and they had to be changed, I had a claim and that was fraught with errors and didn't speed up the whole process at all. Dont shop here.

How this company has 4* is beyond me ive had nothing but trouble with it, can never get in touch with anyone decided to cancel after paying full payment due to being so poor in cusromer service to be stung with £75 cancellation fee on top of only being allowed 25% of premium returned. Even after all that the new company im isured with was still cheaper and much better to deal with.

Disgrace caused me nothing but head ache they never answer the phone to you unless ur making a payment all the operators and rude snotty and don’t have a clue ? MCE insurance don’t accept responsibility for anything even when there’s an error on there part would encourage anyone to buy a bus pass before taking car insurance out with them biggest mistake and what a waste of £1900

Terrible financial practices by this company. Presumably because they get away with it so often, they have made it standard practice to be as dishonest as possible. The Financial Conduct Authority are aware of MCE and its 'mistakes' and 'oversights' with customers so contact the Financial Ombudsman immediately if you have any problems with MCE.

Even one star it’s way too much for them, scam all the way when you need them they screw over , even if I have to pay £1000 more won’t use them anymore. STAY WELL AWAY PEOPLE

Despite having needed car insurance for 24 years, I only got into motorcycling last summer. The cheapest quote was MCE and yes I should’ve checked their reviews first. After exactly 6 months of my 1 year policy, I sold the bike in question. A week or so later, I emailed MCE asking to cancel the policy and refund the unused portion. Although I expected to pay some sort of admin fee (let’s be honest, insurance companies in general will try and screw you for every last penny), I was somewhat shocked that MCE outright refused. They said “there will be no refund due on this policy, anything over 6 months on cover there is no refund”. To be clear, there was five total months - plus most of a sixth - left to run. I think this is appalling, and would urge anyone considering using MCE due to them being a bit cheaper to seriously reconsider and use a reputable company instead.

Total waste of time and effort. Call centre in in some foreign climb, they have no grasp of life in the UK, or what a shed is. Wanted to charge me over £90 to change a bike in the last 6 weeks of the policy. Have no grasp of trying to help folks in dire need due to COVID. My advise is steer well clear, there are better providers out there who do care about you as a person, these guys don’t give a toss evidently.

This company is rubbish, falls with my bike, they didn't give me any assistance, it was a terrible headache, then they gave me a spare bike, this bike was defective, it took 10 days to change the bike, today they sent me a fine from this 2019 bike, saying that if I don’t pay they’ll take me to court, this company was just a problem in my life, after I switched to Zego, I never had a problem again, so if you are looking for decent insurance , go to zego or any other, because this one is garbage. Telephone service It is a disgrace, and the service is terrible, just to charge the monthly fee they are excellent, in short, do not fall for this company you will regret it
