Literally the worst customer services I have ever experienced with a bike insurer - I've been waiting for 40 minutes to be passed from pillar to post - I actually wanted to ADD a bike to my policy - so give them more money... They are not interested in helping customers at all. Avoid at all costs, if you have ANY changes to make - they make it almost impossible. I've just cancelled my policy - and I'll go back to Bennets.

Terrible company! They use web chat, which takes hours to respond, and automatic renewals with prices hiked up. A shyster company!

I took out a policy on September 10th, received an email on October 3rd informing Me that my policy had been cancelled and I had to pay the full years premium - this includes the extra's I purchased (Personal Injury Cover). I opted to pay in instalments and then got bombarded with emails from Premium Credit, I DID go onto PC's website to digitally sign the credit agreement so it can't be the reason for the cancellation. I haven't been able to contact them yet but even so, regardless of their reasoning how can they charge a full years premium for less than a months worth of cover ? It's probably in the small print but this sort of thing should be illegal. I could have paid in full for the cover but didn't, imagine someone with no money trying to get insurance by paying monthly suddenly having no insurance and being expected to pay for a whole year in one lump. This is the sorry of worry that can finish someone off. I'm 53 and have been on a bike for most of my life with no problems, if this can happen to me it can happen to anyone. I look forward to their explanation. I will be avoiding this company from now and advising anyone who will listen to do the same. Disgusting behaviour.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!! They tried to advise me after payment that I completed incorrect information, namely start date and ncd discount. This was all false and auto populated by their system which is clearly designed to con potential customers. They then advised my premium would double after I informed them of the accurate NCB discount, as the costs had doubled, they advised to cancel they would charge me £40.00. I will be reporting this company to trading standards and the Ombudsam and I will welcome their challenge in court if they want to seek the £40.00 cancellation charge. 100% structured to extract revenue from potential customers with zero risk. If you have a policy with the company I would inspect it in great detail .

Unreasonable terms and charges Set the policy using a comparison site 22 days before it would start but needed to cancel the next working day, £40 cancellation charge in the 14-day cooling off period. The reason for the cancellation was due to the comparison site auto-filling the wrong NCB information. Said site then quoted £220 with the correct information, but during the web chat they quoted £326. I was told that I should have read the small print. Be warned! In addition to the cancellation charge they also don’t refund the policy set-up fee (not sure of the huge cost incurred here). So a total of circa £55 was lost on a £115 policy! I will steer clear of this organisation in future.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I've been insured with these cowboys for around 14months, Sold the bike I had insured with them yesterday, cancelled my policy this morning, expected to pay £40, oh no £85!! Read the small print they charge you the full price for any extras you added on when you built your policy, my policy was only £150 for the year, ROB DOGS, I sincerely hope the money chokes them, also I was on hold for 31 minutes, AVOID the cheapest is not always the best.

Absolutely Bonkers! purchased motorcycle insurance on Saturday on Wednesday still no policy documents just some policy number "so-called" but chance to check it anywhere if it even exist ! policy documents should be sent via e-mail "electronically", I rang them on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday to let them know I did not receive them. Finally, I asked them what is going on. they said that they have a problem with emails ! they also told me that they have this problem for a few days . Why they did lie to me ? "yes, we are sending the policy documents now, you will have them within two hours" I told them that's enough I want to cancel it . they charged me £50 for it, the policy didn't even start yet! let's see what trading standards will say !

Took out a policy, agreed to their price as stated on the online quote, accepted and paid in full, then received a phone call the day after to say they are cancelling my policy because they sold it to me too cheap - Complaint raised and have to wait 8 weeks to be contacted, their 8 week timescales take me 7 weeks past when my policy is due to start - they say they can insure me in the meantime for £200 more? Absolute joke

This is my third year being insured with Motorcycle Direct. More than 6 weeks after renewing my policy the underwriters decided they needed more information from me. They sent me an email on 14th June marked 'Urgent Action Required On Your Policy' which alarmed me. I then opened a letter which gave no information other than to say they had been trying to contact me and to call the number provided. I did. They informed me the notes stated they had made attempts to contact me (but not how and no dates) and I needed to provide some documents which the underwriters had requested on 30th May. I asked them to provide information as to how they had attempted to contact me and to outline what information they required from me. They asked me to provide a few things including no claims information, which I explained they had. This was transferred to them over 2 years ago from another insurer and they had the information for the last 2 years. I have not made any claims. They said they would send me the information by post and I then had to return it to them. I asked them to put all of this in writing and they agreed to call me back as I had a work meeting at that time. I awaited their call within the designated timeframe and emailed them 3 times prompting information as requested. No response. So now I am going to spend a night worrying about my policy and what is going on. Not impressed. I attempted to find Live Chat and could not identify this on the website.

Europa Group Limited t/a MotorCycle Direct Insurance company An 18 year old, who we wont name for legal reasons, received a brand new motorbike for his birthday from his parent He was told to insure the bike asap just in case, not knowing about insurance and legal documents, he went online an secured insurance through the above name, at a cost of around £1900, he used his motorbike to get a job. Beginning of March his motorbike was stolen, he notified his boss and his boss said he couldnt keep his job open as he only been in the role a couple of months and still in probationary period. He notified the insurance company of the theft and of losing his job, he couldn’t keep up payments, which was around £152 a month with no regular income anymore. His bike was recovered, he was told to contact another party to come and collect his bike, they contacted him, after they checked the bike and said the bike was in disrepair, the bike was still younger than 6 months, they would give him a full payment of the bike cost usually they would replace it with a new bike, but because he had an outstanding balance on his insurance they would pay him out in the form of a check, minus the excess of £750, remember the bike was only £2499 Yesterday they phoned to say that they wanted payment for the outstanding balance of the direct debit which is £700, and would be sending a debt collecting agency for this. He still has not received payment for his bike the £2499 minus the excess So now not only has the lad been a victim of crime, he has now becomes a victim of circumstances, then to be threatened to be put on a debtors list, when the lad has never had any credit in his life, the ordeal alone from having his bike and losing his job caused him anxiety and stress alone, only for Europa Group Limited t/a MotorCycle Direct put the icing on the cake Bike cost £2499 Insurance Cost £1900 Total £4399 Payout £2499 -Excess £750 -Outstanding Insurance £700 - Debtors charges Priceless This is the type of company that Europa Group Limited t/a MotorCycle Direct is, anyone reading this, knows this is wrong on all levels, to avoid a similar ordeal take your business elsewhere, otherwise you might be the next person to post something similar
