Worst insurance company i have ever come across never insure with them again. !!!!!

To start with, my annual premium DOUBLED in the 4 years I held a policy with them. Them when it came to cancelling I was charged £166.03...£35 of which was a cancellation fee - which was expected, but the remaining was 'extras' that I didn't know I had on the policy. I explained that no where in the schedule was it explained about the charges in cancelling extras. Apparently this only appears in the booklet that is sent out. But because it was a contract that I had entered into with them I had to pay the charges or I would be threatened with bail lifts. I had been a loyal customer for 4 years, never missing a payment, and this is how I was treated. I would never insurance ANYTHING of mine with Sheilas Wheels EVER again. These charges were ridiculous.

Couldn't get anyone to answer my service call, kept on going onto hold. Bad service, won't use again!!

This company said I would be getting a company car dropped off after me being involved in a non fault accident. The car never came after staying in all day. The company wasn't helpful and just kept passing the blame onto the hire car company. Need to find own transport to work tomorrow by paying out of my own money for a taxi. Will be going to a different car insurance after this!!!

got daughters renewal of £680.14 only paid £413.22 last year , nothing has changed since last year , no claims, points, change of address or car . talk about trying it on .. i can buy the same policy from them via moneysupermarket for £345 ? sheilas wheels? more like sheilas steals , wont be using you thieves again

Had an accident in December 2015, and still have not recieved my vehicle back from repairs (11th Feb). I have spent the last 8 weeks, chasing Sheilas' Wheels and the garage trying to determine when my car will be repaired. They had given me a small courtesy car which when dropped off, the driver joked about how i should get a roof rack for my twin pushchair which didnt fit into the boot of the car. Unable to drive the car anywhere with my 20month old twins because of the pushchair situation, this joke soon turned into a nigtmare. I had to call the garage every 2-3 days to inquire about an update of my vehicle, and i was constantly told that it would be going into the workshop the next day. This went on for the following 6 weeks!! The service has been awful and has caused me so much distress and loss of earnings. Although i agree with most of the good reviews that obtaining the policy was quick and easy and the customer service was great, if you should get into an accident, the after-care is awful and insensitive to a customers' position in being without their vehicle. All this company wants, is to gain more customers, and once you have purchased a policy, they stop caring!! I am now taking my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman after following the full complaints procedure through the company, I was not satisfied with their fake apologies and excuses and the pathetic compensation which would not even cover the costs of calls made to them throughout the previous 2 months, let alone the amount of distress this has caused me.

Just called to cancel my policy and was told call centre system is down so I need to call back after 2.30pm. Asked if they could call me as I had spent two minutes going through the system and they said no as had no means of taking my contact details. I politely suggested they used a pen and paper and was told that wasn't possible. Thank god my policy is up in 28 days!!!!

Couldn't recommend them. Nothing but a nonsense company who pester you to up-sell the product you've purchased, undermining your ability to make decisions based on your own needs. Furthermore, the contact centre operator spoke down to me in such a way to imply incapability on my behalf, imposing a necessity of the product he was trying to sell. This being only one event of quite a few such happenings, hugely unimpressed. Positive reviews after an accident are to be expected, any company who doesn't display some form of empathy toward a claimant in their time of need, would never stand a chance in todays market, so I'd discount such reviews.

An appalling company, I cannot emphasis enough how bad they are...they are more expensive than most and if you do need to make a claim they are very difficult to deal with...the people that they employ to fix problems are just as useless and promises of a curtesy car and services they offer if anything dose happen I can only describe as BS!!!! I will never use them again and I hope if you are reading this you search a little more and find a better more reliable company!

Don't be fooled by the 'good' reviews.....trust me.....look deeper. The worst company i have ever delt with. I did not agree to renew my policy and they began to charge me towards another year. They said the money would take 5-10 days to be returned? after i had to provide them proof of my new insurer? Still no money after 10 days...went overdrawn etc. called them up and they said they couldn't refund me as they don't have my bank details? Didn't bother to call me...i had to chase it up....now they say it will take 7-10 days for them to send me a cheque? which will take 3-5 days to clear. They are absolute amateurs......and an absolute rip-off. Loads of hidden fees and expensive renewals.
