“They have cancelled my experience last minute after travelling to the destination. They are still selling tours on the same date for over double the price I paid. Very continent some might say, my opinion is this is more likely a lack of customer service and simply putting higher priced alternatives in their priorities. I feel robbed by what I thought was a reputable company. Never again.”

“As a supplier of the platform I have been waiting a month for my products to be reviewed. A month is absolutely absurd, basically 10% of my year (The peak season) was wasted because they are incompetent. Over and above the 25% commission they charge, they make even more deductions, they make the providers pay the tax on their profits. So not only are they super slow, they are dishonest too.”

“We booked tickets to Eiffel tower with summit access. The guide accompanied us to the 2nd floor, sharing interesting facts about the tower and Paris. However, at the 2nd floor, she informed us that we would not continue to the 3rd floor because the elevator is out of service — but it was actually working! We tried to access the 3rd floor, but security told us our tickets didn’t include it. We paid €178 for two adults and two children. We contacted GetYourGuide, but they responded that it was our mistake and refused to provide any compensation. They claimed we should have selected the €278 option to access the top. Very disappointing and misleading. Always double-check what your ticket includes! Long lines at security. Overpriced and not worth it.”

“The company they hired cancelled our tour and tickets to the Louvre at the entrance, after the security line. We tried to buy individual tickets, but they were sold out. Beyond disappointed. This was our last opportunity to visit the museum.”

“I purchased 3 tickets for Sansevere Chapel and one day in advance any local office sent us tickets for 16.30 and 17.00. We lost a lot of time. The local staff in chapel was impolite and forced us to wait altrough we shown getyourguide booking for 16.00 for the group. Very dissapointing.”

“We didn't get any information, that they cancelled our trip. Afrer I tried call them 3 times I got email about some dangerous weather and that was big lie, the weather was excellent. Never again.”

“Totally unprofessional! Before booking the trip to Lantau Island, Hong Kong I read all the reviews. Most were complimentary, so I booked two tickets for Saturday 19/04/25. Unfortunately, our experience mirrored the bad reviews. The trip’s headline description stated the cable car ride was included but the confirmation didn’t have it included. Misleading! The guide was rude to us and to others in the group. He wasn’t wearing a name tag and didn’t share his name. Terrible experience! The meeting point instructions were not clear so some members of the group were at one point and the others at another causing delay. From then on, it was all downhill. I will never ever book with GetYourGuide again and will advise friends not to use them. They do not provide consistent service, it all depends on the guide. Please take heed of bad reviews.”

“We took the skip the line guided tour from Naples to Pompei and were extremely disappointed (to say the least). It started with the logistics, the tour description says pick-up point is directly from the hotel, and our pick up point was 0.5 km away and half an hour earlier. When we got to Pompeii, we waited for an hour+ for the other groups to arrive, only then did we go to the long entrance line. There we waited just like everybody else, not skipping any line whatsoever (both in and outside the site). The visit was also shorter than it was supposed to be (probably because of the delayed starting time) and when we got out we had to wait 50 minutes for the ride back. But no doubtfully the most upsetting thing was the guidance itself. It was almost impossible to understand the guide's english, so much so that we searched for an audio guide online. We finished the tour almost as unknowledgeable as we started it and more than an hour late (which made us miss other plans we had for the day). It really ruined our whole experience and Pompei was supposed to be the highlight of our visit to Naples :(”

“Terrible Service - Complete RIP Off. booked an Auschwitz tour for 1200 and private transfer for 6 people. Booked months in advance but told afternoon before that tour time had to change from 1200 to 1530. Private transfer time could not be changed for cancelled similar £200 transfer through no fault of my own and Get Your Guide would do nothing to help. Avoid like the plague!!”

“I contacted GetYourGuide about a private rental car with driver to visit waterfalls in Yogyakarta. They came back with a suitable itinerary. The payment date rolled around 2 days before the tour. Once the payment is made you cannot get a refund I paid the money and they sent me a completely changed itinerary with no waterfalls. I couldn't get a refund. The driver arrived in a crappy car and an hour late. I started on the tour but the first site was so pathetic. I gave up.”

“I can’t comment on the guide itself but I can on the proces. I made a wrong booking, contacted the support within 10 minutes but nothing could be done. No money back. Make sure pay with creditcard or find a other provider.”

“Booked a trip in Koh Samui through Getyourguide. Turned up at 8.30am, 1/2hr before the designated meeting time of 9am, waited until 9.15am, nothing, no one turned up and no one tried to contact us. Eventually managed to get a representative at the company that finally said the guide wasn't coming and cancelled the trip - at that point we were just left stranded. Told us that the guide would phone us to explain but that never happened. They tried to rearrange for the afternoon but we were on a cruise so the times were impossible for us. They did refund us and I appreciate it wasn't exactly their fault but it is their responsibility to ensure the guides turn up and keep in contact. We were literally left deserted. Very disappointed with Getyourguide”

“We would like to comment on the excellent assistance we had on our trip to marokko. We booked 4 activities, all good, apart from confirmations from the tour guide. But GYG responded great to our questions. Even late in the evening we still got response and solutions for the issues we had. All in a very pleasant and effective way. Reliable organization!”

“I booked 2 tours in Vietnam and I paid extra for cancellation policy. I got an email confirming that I can cancel an hour before and get a percentage however when I tried to do that hours before I could not do it on the app and no one responds to my messages, very misleading and disappointing. I would not use get your guide ever again.”

“Was trying to book a "special discount" tour yesterday for August. Every time I tried to book at the reduced price, I was alerted "something went wrong, please try again". I tried for about an hour wanting to get the special price and every time I reloaded the page the price increased and I still could not book. No contact email for help either. AVOID!!!”
