“AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! My sim was illegally swapped. After waiting 11 days to get it back every 7 days it won't let me make or receive call and texts. This has happened 3 times. Now I can't top up at all. They say it's my phone, the phone shop say it's giff gaff not processing the sim card properly. I'm now changing to asda or tesco, at least I can speak to a real person. 😡😡😡”
“I have been waiting fir activation for 5 days and still not happened this ridiculous
Why it isn't sorted
No one ro speak to just agents which don't always get back to you this is not good enough
What am I meant to do while this figured out they have my old phone number so can't even go anywhere else or I will lose it”
“I've never had so much trouble trying to activate a replacement sim "EVER"
1st problem wouldn't accept activation code
2nd problem didn't send the bank any kind of payment request when I pressed the activate key.
3rd problem wouldn't accept cvc card from another bank ...
Result really bad headache, phone nearly got thrown at my TV 🤨 and when I checked my bank giffgaff had took the payment...
Half an hour later giffgaff app suddenly seemed to realise payment went through...
Now my phone works again...
Just wanted to say thank you to what is ending up to be the worst network ever.”
“The most rubbish company ever
I have the giffgaff sim and no reception for 2 days now trying to explain the sim is not working they just coming back saying you change the phone or you might have problem in your area really disappointed”
“I brought a refurbished like new Samsumg A13 5G and it arrived the next day. Within hours of having it the screen would become completely unresponsive regularly and I'd have to keep resetting it to get it to work. The next day it got more regular so I sent it back, asking for a replacement and instead they just sent me a refund.”
“I purchased a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 from GiffGaff, and within a year the screen developed stuck pixels despite no physical damage to the phone. I returned the phone under warranty, fortunately haven taking pictures from all angles before mailing the device. GiffGaff have now replied with a photo of the phone showing a significant amount of new damage that 1) I can prove was not there previously thanks to the pictures, 2) physically could not have happened during transit, 3) they are now attempting to charge me £302.00 to repair. I can only assume that the damage was caused by the repair centre staff, whether intentional or not, and they are now blaming me for the damage. I have raised a complaint and have now been refused the repair under warranty that I am entitled to. Do NOT buy any refurbished phone from GiffGaff unless you are fine treating the warranty as worthless, as otherwise they will put dents in your phone and charge you hundreds of pounds for the pleasure.”
“Over 3 weeks and my number still hasn't been transferred. Agents and complaints hardly reply, when they do it's the same excuses.an absolute shower of a company. Can't wait to leave them.”
“DISGUSTING!!!! it took an hour for scammers to sim swap my number and take out £100s of pounds from bank account. Yet it's going to take up to 5 days for them to give me my number back. Why so long ????. I've no way of contacting emergency services if needed, if it wasn't for whatsapp I'd be stuffed. Will be changing to another company. They are cheap for a reason.”
“The worst company to deal with and will never ever use them again. Despite getting an email confirming the account was closed at the end of my trip I continued to have funds taken out of my bank account. I contacted them in multiples ways but they sent me around in circles with no favourable outcome. I am at my ends wit with them. Stay away and spread the word.”
“I bought a refurbished phone, an iPhone 13 it was fine at the start but months later the battery is TERRIBLE. My phone is extremely laggy and glitchy. You’d expect when being a refurbished phone that it would still all work great but that’s surely not the case. My old iphone 11 works 100x better than this new iPhone 13 Pro that I got from giffgaff. Honestly a waste of money and it’ll be the last time I buy a phone from them and it’s an absolutely waste of money. For the £400 I spent I should’ve saved it and just got a brand new phone. Will now have to spend more money to get this phone fixed along with a battery replacement. JOKE!!! The customer service is absolutely terrible aswell, I had an issue with my bank where they didn’t accept the payment of the phone. The bank was telling me one thing and giffgaff was telling me another. I had to phone back like 5 times and speak to different people individually every time and explain the problem over and over again and some people would be useless when it came to helping me. I wouldn’t waste your money here.”
“Transferred to Giffgaff from o2 on Thursday. Told it would be Monday number would be moved over and if delayed compensation would be paid. Delayed til Tuesday no compensation paid. Was with 02 for many years always had 20GB but only ever used 14 on average each month. Have now used 5 GB since transferred over nothing has changed so why the rating up of the data. They have no answers and customer service is shocking. Will be leaving for another company ASAP”
“1. On few occasions giffgaff jumped up the charge without making any calls or text.
After I complained they added money on my credit.
2. I lost an old sim and tried to contact them by email and member number but couldn’t get through. They promised to send me a replacement sim. I waited for 5 days and had to buy a new sim. They still hold 30£ of mine.
I am stressed and disappointed.”
“Awful company to deal with . Offered me £510 for my 10 month old pixel 8 when purchasing a pixel 9 . Recieved the P9 (£810) and then got a message stating offer price had changed to £44 as they found faults in the P8 . And then the fun begins trying to get it resolved . The only option is to send a message , no phone option . If you recieve a reply after 24 hours you are not in a conversation as you send a reply and you wait another 24 hours . It is all so stressful . Really is not worth the bother , be warned .”
“Giffgaff transferred my Sim to a scammer overnight the scammer then cleared out my bank account ordered a lot of stuff on my credit card and now the phone number I have had for 25 years is not usable and I’ve had to spend it two days the security settings on all my apps shopping accounts and bank accounts gift gave me my Have not yet responded to any of my customer service messages and of course there is no phone number to be found anywhere. What a scam they are.”
“Bought reconditioned phone arrived in very poor condition rather than very good - over a week later I'm still waiting for a refund and resolution - appalling customer service”
“GiffGaff, well I thought they were good, until signal issues, then PAC issues were the worst, decided to change to another network, was given a PAC code with a long date till end of the month, other company can't use the code because GIiffGaff disconnected my number the next day, not even giving their date time limit to change over, now I am having technical issues trying to retrieve my original phone number... I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY.... I need my old number for health reasons... they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER... very dangerous company, I'd you have health problems when trying to change over company's.... AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE....”
“Absolutely ridiculous company
I’m a new customer and I’ve seriously regretted getting involved.
I’m cancelling my contract they are really really bad don’t come to giff gaff nothing but problems that you can’t resolve!”
