“Although the food is lovely, the deliveries are just not reliable! Waited in all day for my delivery, no notification from Gousto at all! I eventually chased up the where about of my box for them to tell me it wasn’t being delivered and the earliest slot they could give me was alimony a week away! Very poor service. When contacting customer service I felt like I was talking to a computer, all they kept saying was It will log this complaint with my manager’ not a lot of help really!”

“Used a discounted trial in June £26 and didn’t subscribe or use again . Just had a text saying my order would arrive tomorrow which I did not order. Money has been taken from my bank . Fuming and cannot contact . Do not use this company”

“I had cancelled all future deliveries in mid August 2020, and suddenly I am being charged for a delivery coming 27th September that I hadn't ordered at all! I know for a fact I cancelled them all. I tried to get in touch and was told there is nothing they can do as it is confirmed already. No email until today (day before delivery) stating it is confirmed and unable to be cancelled or changed. I hadnt even looked at the recipes for this whole month let alone open a slot for this week. Do not start this as they will find a way to charge you for deliveries you never made in the first place.”

“Absolute tin pot company. Delivery window of 8am to 7pm and the box still doesn't arrive. Better to go to your local superamarket and get the ingredients yourself. Poor quality customer service”

“I have been trying to cancel for 4, weeks now but boxes keep turning up. The last box had all but one of the store cupboard ingredient bags missing. Also the fresh ingredients are going off before I get to cook the recipes. Not happy”

“We just love the concept of gousto and love the recipes which are all very tasty. However the vegetables are frequently already going off. Carrots were already soft when we received them and the other veg didn't last longer than 2 days before going off. I hope they can sort this out because we love the product and it is so convenient for us.”

“Great idea, tasty and healthy meals. I’ve eaten a lot more veg than I normally would and the recipes are so easy to follow. Lots of people say the ingredients is poor quality but I disagree. The only thing I will say is the size of the meals are tiny! Not enough for myself and partner, and I’m only small but left hungry after eating. For £25 (offer price) I didn’t mind as I could add my own pasta/rice/chicken etc. to make meals a bit bigger but I won’t be paying £35 from now on solely due to the small portions which is a shame!”

“My elderly mother has been trying to cancel gousto deliveries for the last 3 weeks and they are still taking money from her bank. They are not answering emails from my mother.”

“Me and my wife have been using Gousto for a long time. And I used to recommend them to family and friends. They used to be great. However lately they have gone very downhill. Boxes we have recently received often have items missing. Or completely the wrong ingredients required for the recipes ordered. The quality of the ingredients that do turn up has also become very bad.”

“I have been having Gousto for many many years but since the pandemic this company have obviously expanded to cater for a larger market. In the past few months I have had missing ingredients, meat that was not packed in the chiller box, grissly chicken breasts, vegetables that have been past their best and missing ingredient cards. Over the years I have never had cause to complain but in recent months the issue of missing ingredients and poor produce has become commonplace.”

“We had Mediterranean fish Stew with Aioli. We liked it except the Basa fish would have been more appropriate with Tilapia or haddock /cod rather than Vietnamese river fish. Another ingredient that surprised us is a clove of garlic given was not bigger than the size of a pine nut which I think is the most essential flavour for this dish. Would like to sent you the photo of the garlic but unable to do it on my mobile.”

“Great range of quality food at a reasonable price. The delivery services including fresh produce and ingredients with all necessary recipes has been extremely convenient. It needs to be noted that some deliveries have had ingredients missing in the past, however, this would happen on rare occasions. In summary, I would recommend Gousto to all food lovers out there that enjoy cooking at home.”

“Pros: Good recipes, makes weeknight cooking easier to plan. Cons: Generally poor ingredient quality. Woody chicken breasts, mouldy pieces of ginger, the worst quality beef mince I have ever seen. It's like meat sludge. We won't be bothering in future.”

“Disappointed- I really wanted to like Gousto but oh dear me. I signed up because I thought it would help us to widen the variety of food we eat. My family and I haven’t liked one meal. The recipes are easy to follow but just not that good and the quality of ingredients was also not good. It wasn’t terrible just not good for the price [even with the introductory offer) so cancelled halfway through the offer period- avoid”

“Gousto delivers what they say they will deliver. There are quite a lot of recipes, many that take only 10 minutes, and overall it helps take some of the pressure of buying ingredients, thinking of recipes, and cooking. Their packaging, app, and recipes, have only improved over time.”
