“After leaving negative feedback about their misleading delivery times, I received this mail from their M.D. Hi Darren I see you have left us a dirty smear on google feedback. I think people like yourself should be black balled from buying if all you can do with your time is write poison reviews. I am currently involved in a web reveiw site for just such customers. You were the person so obtuse as not understand simple English and take it the wrong way. I mean, next day delivery order before 12. I wonder how many people in a million would read that as, order at 10 at night get by 12 noon next day. One thing I have done since is to take out your post code from our delivery matrix in the hope of never dealing with you again as well as tried even harder to turn plain English even clearer. Thanks for the feed back I am going to leave you some on sadnothingbettertodo.com. as well as customerblackball.co.uk Man up retract yours and I will retract mine and we can part on good terms. “I ordered the larger size blue slate chippings for my back garden. Arrived on time and good communication. My only issue is the white chalky powder that coats the slate? It's very gradually coming off but is taking an awfully long time to look like slate! I'm not sure if this was a 'faulty' batch? If someone could let me know that would be great!”

“The website is good and call centre helpful, but my delivery was not when it was supposed to be and I had to leave a dinner to sort it out. When I complained I got very badly fobbed off. I am not sure that Grasslands cares very much and subsequently missed out of a turf order from me - I won't be using them again.”

“I was expecting the delivery in the morning but it did not arrive until 5.40pm. I had hired a man to lay it but he had to come back the following morning to do this. On the plus side the delivery driver did help me bring the turf to my garden which he did not need to do as website says pavement delivery only. So far the turf seems to have taken well and I am pleased with the product.”

“Easy website. Even rang the Office too, who were extremely helpful! Excellent price comparison even with next day delivery charges included! I ordered at 12.30pm on Wednesday and the stones arrived next day as promised!! Even on the Thursday before the Easter Bank Holiday weekend! Excellent and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them!!”

“Excellent service, ordered on Monday products delivered first thing on Wednesday. Fork lift truck fantastic as had nightmares in the past with pump trucks and our gravel drive! products also excellent. Will definitely use Grasslands again.”

“Thank you for the turf.Unfortunately I was not informed of the delivery day or emailed so that I might track it.Therefore, as I was not home when it was delivered I was unable to lay the turf for a couple of days as I had to organise help to move it from my drive and then lay it.The top few turfs were lovely but underneath the grass was very yellow.It has been laid, I am watering it regularly and looking after it,but it is still very yellow.i hope this improves as the days go by. The price was very good , just a shame i was not informed of the delivery date . Yours Lynne Cork”

“So cheap and quick! Only thing is that the slate comes very dirty and we didn't clean it before laying it! Do that before you lay your slate, or you will have our issue (our plum slate looks white! Wouldn't matter but our next door neighbours (semi - detached house so they are quite close together in regards to front gardens) have plum slate as well, but theirs was super clean! haha. Ours was cheaper for the membrane and slate then theirs was just for the slate! Very happy.”

“Good price and good service by your support staff with the exception that my order was postponed at the last moment, causing me problems. Also when the stones were delivered the driver was unable to physically move the stones onto the driveway or even next to our property and left the 1 ton sack of stones 6ft into the unlit narrow country road!!! for me a 70 year old disabled pensioner to move the stones a bucketful at a time!! Taking me nearly 5 hours. If the driver is unable to handle a ton of stones at a time then maybe you should send 2 @ half ton sacks?? Or a two man team??”

“Turf delivered at the best price on the internet always makes one cautious but turf from Grasslands was far better quality than a previous delivery from Homebase. The topsoil cutting from Grasslands was very thick and although it was a reasonably course grass, I am delighted with my purchase. I would (and probably will) order more.”

“Tried to order 49m2 of their high quality wonder turf well in advance of date required. I was pleased to get a response that I would receive it on the Friday I requested. Unfortunately it never turned up. The reason I have given one star and not none is they did not hide away and did communicate with me via email but every attempt after to get it to me resulted in a no show (after two weekends they refunded with no issue). I am not sure how you can run a online turf delivery business if you cannot guarantee it arrival in a reasonable window as the perishable nature of turf and secondly the planning made by the customer to lay it. Communication was good and refunded after 2 weeks of trying but that fact it never turned up at all and with no real solid explanation is why I have to give such a low rated review.”
