My experience with Gudrun Sjoden has always been positive, with the exception of a couple of orders. The problems were not Gudrun Sjoden's fault, but rather UPS. A recent purchase sat in UPS's warehouse (in Louisville, KY) for nearly a month. Customer Service at Gudrun Sjoden was very helpful with follow-up on this issue.

6 years ago I stopped ordering due to quality issues: poorly cut patterns, unraveling threads, and bad smell. Mid January I decided to give it a try as their designs are innovative. Took 8 weeks for delivery due to UPS issues. Never got apology or updates from company or UPS. And Gudrun’s customer service has poor attitude, unhelpful. That poor attitude means either busines is either so good they don’t need to care or so bad as they might be closing!

Purchased two pair of shoes as a gift for a friend. After 3 weeks of not receiving them I looked at tracking and they still showed the package was overseas. I’m in the US. I had to go out and purchase replacement gift because her birthday was in a couple days. I receive the GS order last night, 25 days later. Too late. I went to return them and found out they were final sale which I didn’t notice. They refused to even give me a credit and were flip and condescending. They blamed UPS instead of taking ownership. I complained on one of their many advertisments in the comment section, warning people their order could take almost a month to receive and my comment was deleted. Notice they don’t allow reviews on their website. Easy to stay in business when you just delete and silence any complaints. I will never trust this company nor will I support their bloviated self-impressed words with empty actions. Way to run a business GS. You must be rolling in dough like a pirate to throw away loyal customers. At least you won’t get my dough anymore. Maybe Gudrun Sjödén herself is too busy to notice what’s happening to her company. The reviews offsite aren’t so hot. Sad!

First, the sizing is totally off. The skirt I bought was at least two sizes too large while I went exactly by the measurements. I returned the skirt, tracked it and it was received December 9, 2021, I still have not received a refund. I have emailed them several times and after I assumed in another email on January 30, that I was not going to be credited in an email I was told by the customer service person who answered my email that I used a wrong tone of voice--excuse me????? After seven weeks I have not received my credit.

In de sale leuke jurk gekocht. Precies goed van maat en ziet er leuk uit. Levering 7 dagen maar wist ik van tevoren. Dus alles zoals beloofd. Ga vast nog een keertje bestellen......

I love the colors and shapes, but the material seems pretty bad and therefore way overpriced. Most of the clothes I ordered, still smell quite "unhealthy" even after several washes. It's been a long time since I had clothes smell that bad. Even though I like the look, I won't buy there again.

I treated myself for my Birthday this year, I love her look! But I’m so disappointed, the wool sweater piles after 3 wearing’s. Cheap made in China junk. Sorry I Wasted my money.

Beware that wool can start pilling within three jours...instead of "after sometime" as said by Gudruns... Most shamefull, that they don't accept returning the item. Think this over before ever ordening!!!

For a company that boost of being sustainable WHY are all the clothes made in China. All the factories there are run with slaves. China is a communist country that treats its own people like animals . Why would anyone think the factories would be any better.

I was a bit concerned reading a few negative reviews but the positive reviews were glowing so I decided to take a chance...and I do not regret it. The quality is excellent and the fabrics natural and comfortable. I'm on the heavy side so can't wear voluminous clothing but the ones I chose look really nice. I'm very pleased with my purchase...which arrived in 3 days!

I bought a jacket and a dress from Vancouver, Canada and I had to return the dress because it didn’t fit my petite body that great and I called the costumer stevia who helped me a lot to find a right fabric and fit for my body type and I sent the dress back and they sent me the new clothes right a way, no questions asked. Also the return shipping was prepaid by them. Can’t get better service than this online 👍🏻🙏🏻

I'm not sure what I was thinking when I ordered the Violette tunic. It is gaudy. I might wear it if I taught kindergarten. The fabric is nylon-y, like a nightgown, and the sizing is huge. Unfortunately I missed the 1 month return window. Really regret this purchase.

Do not expect Customer Service to help with an order. I have loved this company for several years but their customer service is terrible! I placed an order on 9/24 and still did not have a ship date as of 10/3. I contacted customer service to see why it had not been shipped. They stated that the items were out of stock. I checked the website and only one item that was ordered was showing as out of stock. Contacted customer service again and asked that they send the in stock items or cancel the order. Instead of sending me the items they had in stock they canceled the entire order and lost a $500 sale. I guess they are doing so well that they no longer need customers. This is the second time I've had an issue and I doubt I will bother ordering again - there are plenty of other companies that cooperate, at least minimally, with their customers.

I have bought things from Gudrun Sjoden before. I have found the quality variable. I bought a dress ( Kurbits ) which arrived to day. It is plain black and I need it on Thursday. The material is so thin that you can see through it. It looks cheap yet , with VAT, it cost £86. I shall have to wear a slip underneath it. I am disappointed and don’t know if I’ll order again.

I love the clothes I received from GS: two dresses, a cardigan, a pair of tights. The material is good quality, the workership seems solid, the fit is nice, the colors delightful. I have two concerns: most garments made in China, does GS contract with legitimate garment factories where workers are well paid and treated? I'd like more information. Second: each garment came in a plastic bag for a total of five plastic bags. I'd really like to see something different - paper perhaps. Only an outer plastic bag to protect the garments from the elements. It makes me sad and will influence my shopping habits. I'm working on less plastic and I've found numerous companies who are working out other options. Might GS improve your packaging? It would greatly appreciated and a better match with your natural fiber clothing.

I really have fallen in love with Gudruns’s designs. Most are very casual and comfy, but depending on accessories could be worn for any occasion. I find that many have interesting or intricate stitching details, and are obviously well made. There are a couple of items that are very thin and see-through, but on most I find I am surprised by how substantial the material is, the fabric patterns are lovely, and the clothing is fun to layer with different designs and colors. I have washed some of the pieces many times, but in all I have found no dye transfer and nothing close to “falling apart”. The catalogues and website are beautiful to look at, and there are a lot of extra pages with neat craft ideas using Gudrun designs and fabrics. But, I can use up a lot of time just looking at the products: clothes and accessories, curtains, rugs and pillows, and a whole lot more. The items seem pricey but I routinely scan the sale pages where I have found better prices on the clothes and great prices on accessory items like tights and leggings, socks, great scarves, and I found a beautiful handmade belt at a fraction of the original cost. I have also bought clothes on eBay and I’m sure there are other online sites. By and large I have been happy with my purchases, and for now I enjoy just browsing the products.

I've been shopping with Gudrun from their online store in Germany for 7 years now and any problems I had were always successfully resolved. Have also enjoyed visiting the actual stores in Stockholm, London, and NY, before the pandemic, obviously. Most of their clothes are a very good, reliable quality; it's disappointing to read of dissatisfied customers... but it's always easy to return things to them, at least to the German store. I find their sweaters and cardigans to be first-class, and the trousers really comfortable and flattering. Less convinced by all the jersey items, which I avoid, except for the tights, which are really good and don't squeeze your waist. Gudrun has definitely improved my wardrobe and sense of comfort and style in my clothes. Worth every penny. Good sales and bonuses too.
