“Ordered a standard weight bar. Received it but it has poor quality knurling and provides poor grip. Gym Direct cared little and offered $10 off. I don't want $10. I want a good quality bar. Avoid.”

I'm sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations in this instance and will be sure to pass on this information to our Quality Assurance team as well as any other departments who may be able to help rectify this issue. For the most part, the barbell you purchased featured knurling standard to that bar from the manufacturer, and based on the images sent - was not a defect. Unfortunately due to that reason we are unable to offer anything else in terms of replacement and/or a gift voucher. If there is anything else we can do, please don't hesitate to reach out!

“Every product I’ve purchased from Gym Direct has never had any major problems. Over the last year or two I’ve purchased an adjustable bench, barbell, squat rack and numerous weights, still no problems with them now whatsoever.”

Hi Brae, we understand your frustration, however we can assure you out goal is not to just take your money. We take customer satisfaction very seriously and I've looked into this case further to ensure we didn't miss anything. The product listing states very clearly that the size/thickness of the weight plates will affect the storage capacity available - meaning, as the example images on the listing show, the side with two pegs is suitable for the larger plates, and the other side is suitable for the smaller pegs, as well as the middle. This is intentionally designed for optimum weight distribution across the storage rack. It's taking into account the plate sizing as well. If you'd like, we can organize to send you a personalised video outlining how to best use this product to ensure your plates are stored correctly. If there is anything we can do outside of this, please let us know and we will try our absolute best to help you. In the meantime, we will make the listing a little clearer - so we thank you for highlighting this as a potential source of confusion for future customers. All the best, Gym Direct

I'm sorry to hear your experience with delivery times has been less than stellar. I'll be sure to pass this feedback on and work towards improving our service in the future. However, please note, due to Covid-19 this is largely out of our hands. We are doing everything in our power to combat delays, however they are streaming for the most part from our Couriers, not us. “Good range of products and decent prices. Not the greatest communication, and fairly slow delivery (only received part of the order on first drop). Needed repeated prompts via email to get it resolved. I don’t think the company is dodgy, just a bit disorganised.”
