Thank you for your invitation to submit a review. While I don't like to say it, my experience with my purchase has been highly disappointing and 40 days after placing my order, I still have not received my equipment. I buy a lot of gym equipment and chose to try Gym Direct as a new provider, taking in good faith statements of product quality and prompt service. Having ordered and paid for my order in early January, I was expecting a day or two delay in dispatch given the time of year and likely holiday absence of some staff. A few days later this assumption was confirmed when I received an email indicating GD was aiming to dispatch by the end of that week (i.e. 12 Jan) or at the latest the following week. Another week later, I received an email from Lily, who was very polite, indicating my goods were in fact not in stock (not indicated at point of sale) and that there would be a four week delay in my order, apparently due to supply chain issues. Eventually, I received a few emails on 6-7 Feb indicating that my order was in transit, with consignment details indicating a 6 Feb delivery date (i.e. that day). I called the freight company only to be told that they hadn't received all the 19 parts of my order from GD. I had ordered a bench, dumbbell set and rack, which appears to have been split up into 19 separate items and drip fed to the freight company.After multiple calls to the freight company, and failure to deliver despite having all relevant information, authorisation to leave, and site access granted, my order has still not arrived. I therefore cannot comment on equipment quality and clearly cannot provide pictures of me enjoying my purchase, as you have requested. I have to say, this has been a wholly unsatisfactory experience and if asked to recommend Gym Direct as a purveyor of equipment in the future, it would be a hard NO from me. I am sorry to say that I will definitely shop elsewhere next time and recommend others do too.

I brought an Olympic bar for my husband's birthday and I still haven't received it. My husband has called Gym direct twice now over the last 2 weeks and has been told both times they're chasing it up, but no one gets back to us and we've had to chase gym direct. This was not a cheap product and I used my disability pension to buy it, it was a big purchase to make, and the fact that it's looking more and more like we've been ripped off is really upsetting. The tracking number says it's sitting in a town about an hour up the road from us. It was supposed to have been delivered on the 19th of January and I purchased it two weeks before that to make sure it came on his Birthday and the 19th was his birthday! So, not only did he get nothing for his birthday, but now I'm $350 out of pocket and he has to train for his upcoming competition at a commercial gym instead of his own because his old bar is too smooth. (Hence buying him a new bar). The reason I'm writing this review is because gym direct sent me an email asking me to review the product I just purchased....but I can't review a product I never received.

In saying that it is no excuse from our end. We defiantly is working on policy for an improvement. Courier has confirmed that your order been shipped and delivered to your nominated address on 19th Jan with POD (Proof of delivery); Which I attached image above. Hi Sina, Thank you for your feedback We have been confirmed that order has been dispatched from our end on 12nd Jan however upon checking the delivery statues, we been told by contracted courier that items have been lost in transit. We will re send your order out again today and it should arrive within 1 - 3 business days; Side note that we are not able to find any email communication under your name or email address. Hence not able to respond accordingly. We apologies for this inconvenience caused by the unexpected delay

The purchase was a terrible experience. The item was not listed as not in stock when it clearly was not in stock. Gym Direct took payment even though they knew it would be many months before I would receive my item. The order was paid for on the 4th of October. After a while of waiting, I followed up on where the item was (after no communication from gym direct). I was told they were waiting for "some of my items". Strange, since I only ordered one item. It almost seems like a lie, doesn't it? After calling out the lie, the sales rep said "oh no, sorry, I've just checked, it's the whole order". Again, seems like maybe a lie? 😂 After a month of waiting, I followed up again, I was promised the item would be delivered late November/ Early December. 2 months! After paying. In the end that ended up being another lie. The item arrived not long before Christmas. Shocking "service", lies from 2 different sales people and an item delivered about 10 weeks too late. Take this as a warning anybody thinking of purchasing anything from these cowboys

The leg curl machine was an absolute nightmare to build. The instruction manual was pathetic, I even found pre-assembled pieces utilising the wrong bolts.

Very poor and extremely disappointed. The wrong address was applied to my order and sent to my neighbour. When the delivery driver delivered the item my neighbour stated that the wrong address had been used and that the driver took the item back. It appears the driver didn't return the item to you and the item has now disappeared, I will not be using you again and will look to other suppliers for my future gym supplies

We apprecaite your review and feedback, Michael. From what we can see you placed the incorrect address on your order and didn't inform us until after the order was fully dispatched and delivered to the address you had provided, from our end the driver had delivered to the address which was provided to us from you and we had provided the courier company the address which you had placed on the order. Any comments about Direct Freight that has no relation to Gym Direct should be taken up with their customer service agents. Thank you. - GD

My black band snapped after 3 uses not very happy with that at all Used just for stretching I am 60 and female this should not have happened I feel it is a faulty band I am currently in NZ playing hockey and the band was bought for this trip I now need to replace it Thanks Angela carpini

Happy with product! That I bought. Shopping experience was not so great! Originally wanted to purchase a hyper extension bench for +$1k but shipping was outrageous! Spent time quoting up 3rd party freight which came in at a third of the price. I rang and emailed Gym Direct to confirm how much time needed for freight to collect and as to whether box is crated or on pallet. No answer! So Gym Direct lost that sale! That experience has left me really put off to deal with Gym Direct again. I only got the the glute plyo box as I couldn’t source anywhere else!

Ordered over two weeks ago. 4 packages were sent. The first two arrived after a week. The 3rd went via an incorrect city & arrived badly damaged - who sends 20kg of dumbbells in an old Shiraz box?!? So unprofessional - 4th package has still not arrived. Have reached out to gym direct 3 times so far. Awaiting a responses on the damaged dumbbells & 4th package. So our experience has been anything but “direct” …. More should-have-gone-to-Rebel ….

I ordered a spiky ball, they said it would come in 1 week and 1 month later I am still waiting. They keep sending me emails to write a review, so I got in touch with the company to tell them I didn't have the product and could they look into it? Still nothing is happening apart from writing a review emails! so they are unreliable, and don't follow up well. I won't buy from them again.

Hi David Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. This has been looked into and from what can be seen this order was completed on 13th Feb and was dispatched 15th Feb. When you reached out we had responded advising there was a delay in delivery and we were awaiting a response from Aus Post. Speaking to them again they have notified us there is a continuing delay from their side and are working on having your item delivered. As we can understand how frustrating this is, we are still working closely with Aus Post for continued updates and to escalate the matter. We hope this will be delivered for you shortly. I wouldn’t have written this review except for receiving an email asking me to do here it is: Ordered on 14th jan and still haven’t received them. I only live 1hr away from the store , would have been better driving up to collect. Will be calling Monday to follow up

Not all of my order was fulfilled and when told I couldn’t get the bench I ordered , I was told I needed to pay an additional $250 for another bench

I would never tell anyone to purchase anything from Gym Direct, they were paid for a product only to take more than 5 weeks before they delivered the product and they don't ring to let me know when it's been delivered. To top it off the delivery/ installing told me that it's my problem to figure it out on how to use the product then said he can't take the box it came in, I'm a disabled man and I cannot remove the rubbish. Gym Direct told me that the delivery / installer would show me how to use the product but didn't do anything other than poor customer service... It's not worth 1 ⭐️ but that's all I can give. Gym direct should be closed for ever absolutely disgrace
