Unfortunately we had an awful experience with the flooring installer we got. His work was rough and he was super unreliable. So much so we ended up asking if a different installer could help complete and fix the job, the second guy we got was very good and if we had had him the first time this review may have been different. After weeks of waiting for the job to be completed it was finally completed on the last day of the financial year and we were asked to settle the account that day.

Poor customer service, issues left to me as the client to resolve with the carpet supplier directly. Took many months of following up by me to get to a point of resolution. That should have been left by Harrisons but it was not.

We had carpet laid in October 2020 and it was poorly installed. Carpet is fraying and lifting along most edges. In some cases the carpet has lifted completely eg in bedroom doorways and along walls. We contacted Harrisons North Shore in July 2022 asking for advice and how to fix but the email was ignored. No response whatsoever. I would definitely NOT recommend Harrisons Carpet & Flooring to anyone. Poor workmanship and no ownership when there are issues. Very disappointing, especially given the cost of the installation

Hi Matt, Thank you for giving us your feedback. This is definately something that we need to come out and take a look at. When these issues occur we will always come and asses and do remedial work. Poor quality installation, damaged skirting, no vacuum, did not advise about floor issue prior to installing resulting in poor install

Carpet had multiple faults within two years (top of the carpet has separated from the bottom) and the Feltex insurance guy refused to replace, they only wanted to continue to fix the carpet even though it had frayed at the joins from being fixed multiple times. I had to chase them and call head office to get anyone to listen - finally got replaced but was a huge un nessecary fight. Franchisee did what he could as did the installer.

Harrison's has a price guarantee for competitors but if they drop the price within 7 days of your payment they do not back themselves by handing on that discount. In other words they do not back themselves like other firms do .

would never use them again, paid $6k for a 70 sq mt home, nylon carpet, but within a month it looks 20 years old, lumps on the joins, and that was with a so called discount!, had flooring extra around, they can do a far better carpet for $4700!

We are unfortunately really unhappy about our experience. To discover faulty carpet having been laid on the first day, it then took approximately four months for this to be resolved and the carpet finally replaced. This is too long and we had to then move in an out of our house twice with no compensation or support for this.

Extremely poor coms. All communication stopped as soon as I queried the Seven Sharp viewers discount. It became evident they did not want to honour an advertised discount, so the owner opted to just not respond after multiple attempts to contact. Ended up delaying my build and having to source elsewhere. Provided feedback to head office, they said they would get the owner to make contact. They didn’t.

Requested a price 5 weeks ago, told Amanda would be in touch, waited over 2 weeks, followed up told another message would be sent through 3 weeks later still heard nothing. Visited carpet court today who gave me a price, I accepted the price and the carpet will be installed in 3 weeks. If you want service suggest you visit Carpet court!

Booked in stock carpet with 3 week delay for install. 3 weeks later, no carpet, no communication, cancelled order.

The manufacturers had advised us that there was going to be a further 2-week delay, on a 3-week lead time that was intially anticipated on your product. We are very sorry about this, we continue to experience shipping delays as do many other companies. WATCH OUT for this company! They failed to deliver business/job as agreed but they made it my fault and took $50 from my deposit which it was against my wish, not in line with their policy and not according the CGA. In another way they stole $50 from me!

They might not interested in a small job like 1 bed room apartment in the city center. They change the free quote appointment time but could not make it. The reason was that he could not find a parking. Then I sent pictures and measurements by email but no reply. Thank you for the typical kiwi service.

Hi, Thank you for your comments. I understand that it is very frustrating for you. The issue that we have with installing in Central City apartments is that we need to get the vans as close to the install site as possible. Also, we often find that the lifts are not big enough to take a roll of carpet and it comes down to Health and Safety issues for the installers getting the very heavy products from the van into the apartment. thank you to steve of invercargill for our carpet we had a few problems getting our carpet out of melbourne with the way the silly world is and when the carpet arrived in invercargill on the morning of the 3rd day prior to christmas steve was there to meet it with his team and got it installed for xmas a big thank you steve

I had a very disappointing experience when dealing with Harrisons Carpets Hastings. Beware of the ‘silver tongue’ lies and shoddy workmanship…l would not recommend the company.

Hi, I just finished a survey and responded negatively, for the following reason. When I discussed the laying of the carpet, I mentioned specific things, to lay the carpet in the same direction and not cross, to avoid shading. Also asked for the hallway to be laid in one piece. The Last thing I asked was that the Carpet is indeed made Cavalier Brentworth. On the plus side, I think that the man who laid the carpet did a lovely job. Regards Adrian. The laminate flooring installed in our house has moved has large gaps and it turns out is not the appropriate type of flooring for our house. Franchisee who sold us the flooring wants nothing to do with us doesn’t return our calls. My husband has rung customer care and head office many times people say they will get back to us but don’t we are doing all the chasing to try and get this solved. Flooring specialist sent out at one point to look said floor not installed correctly would make suggestions to Harrison’s to get this fixed. We are 8 months down the track with this my kitchen is not safe and sanitary the floor gaps are ridiculous. We paid thousands of dollars for flooring and can’t get any remedy it seems. Would not recommend or use Harrison’s again.
