“I tried leaving this review on their website which Harvey Norman has rejected to publish:
There's no return policy for any pillows.
Extremely firm, which is impossible to gauge online and with no warning of no returns on their site, and with Harvey Norman, each store being an independent store, which means you need to find the store that has sent you your item and actually call that particular store and that particular department to begin any process, which you have no idea at checkout, it makes it quite a hassle. Not sure why you would buy online with Harvey Norman knowing this, but no one knows about this till they're faced with a daunting task of a return. I don't think anyone who's experienced this once would ever go back shopping with Harvey Norman, at least online anyway.”
“I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Harvey Norman. On September 13th, I placed an order for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which was advertised for pickup starting September 20th. Excited, I visited the store on the promised date, only to be told the item was on backorder with no clear ETA. After daily follow-ups, I was eventually informed that the delivery could take an additional 4-6 weeks!
This was a birthday gift I’d planned for myself, and the constant delays and lack of communication from Harvey Norman caused me a lot of unnecessary stress. What’s worse is that when I requested a refund, they told me it would take another week to process. Now, I can't even find the phone anywhere else, as other stores have sold out.
Harvey Norman clearly advertised false availability dates to lure customers into pre-ordering. It’s especially frustrating considering other retailers managed to serve their customers on time, while Harvey Norman hasn’t fulfilled a single pre-order. To top it off, their customer service was unhelpful and non-transparent throughout this process.
As a long-time Apple customer, I’m also disappointed that Apple allows such a reseller to handle their products with such poor service. This experience has left me with a bad taste, and I would strongly caution others from trusting Harvey Norman’s pre-order promises, especially when it comes to high-demand items like new Apple products.”
“I purchased a fridge and washing machine, which was scheduled to be delivered between 12 and 3. I waited until after 3 before phoning for the first time. I was told they would follow up and get back to me, they didn't.
I called a second time an hour later, that person said they would follow up and get back to me, they didn't.
I called back a third time and that person said the items would be delivered sometime between 5 and 5.30. I've wasted a whole day waiting around for the delivery, which still hasn't arrived.”
“One of your staff asked me to sit down on a chair and keep quiet she said it was not a playground my when my grandparents were there he did not scold me when they was not she talked to me in a very rude tone I knew I was in the wrong because I was running but I did not like the tone she speaked and asked me to just sit there and do nothing. Luckily my grandparents came to bring me back. I was also just trying out the chair and she asked me to stop. I really want to f*** her. I hate that staff very much. I also can’t remember the name of that staff. It happened on 30 August about 12 o’clock.”
“This has been the WORST online shopping experience I’ve ever had. The items were supposedly shipped from a store in my own city. It has been almost 2 months and the items haven’t arrived, and the shipping details haven’t been updated. I first spent a few weeks following up with the courier, who concluded the items were never actually shipped so they cannot continue an investigation, and the responsibility is on the supplier. Now I’ve had a three weeks of the exact same response from Harvey Norman online “support” team, with no actual help, solution or specific response given. They have sent the exact same response, word for word, 3 times now. I have request either a refund or the items resent (simple solutions for any small company to do, let alone a large company such as this). The communication has been dismal, and completely dismissed my requests or even the details of the situation. Seems I’ll never get my money back or the items I paid for. Will never purchase from them again!”
“I bought a TV in the “end of financial year sales” only to find that it had been further discounted by $500 within the month. When I questioned it with Harvey Norman they said they there was nothing they could do. Very disappointing experience & doesn’t feel ethical!”
“I purchased a tv that was apparently on sale which was ending a few days later. When the sale ended the price of the tv was actually reduced by $240. Harvey Norman are a bunch of crooks and I will never purchase anything from there again. I hope they go under and all of the people who work there (absolutely liars) lose their jobs.”
“I bought a TCL 65 inch qled TV from Harvey Norman online the troubles started from the beginning they were posted delivered to me in Donegal but I have to go and pick it up in Sligo.
2 years and 21 days from the date I picked up the TV the screen went black they were lights on the TV no pictures and sound I contacted Harvey Norman after a lot of trouble as because it was brought online they didn't know which I had bought it from so I have to ring each one until I could find where it was actually came from.
When I got through to them they said there's nothing they can do as it's 21 days out of warranty.
I then contacted TCL customer service which I found really frustrating ready unhelpful I eventually got a reply from their customer service and they passed me on to their repair center because we 25 Euros told me to take a video and then told me the TV was unreadable.
So anybody thinking about a TCL TV I would recommend them pay the extra by eithe her Samsung or a Sony or lg anything but a TCL
So the overall experience very disappointing

“I purchased a matching outdoor patio setting and dining table in all around $6,000 I only could see the dining setting online as it wasn’t in store but lounge chairs looked great sadly I didn’t actually touch the wooden looking coffee table as the chairs I thought were most important to look at and sit in. I waited over 3 weeks for the dining setting to arrive as none were in stock I was shown it on line when it arrived I heard tin sound when assembling the table I said is that table got metal legs I then went out side to look the whole tabke was aluminium to look like timber very convincing if you didn’t touch it. But once you realised and looked hard it was cheap and nasty and not what I thought I ordered and paid for. Now that I rang and asked them to return it and give back my money no one will speak to me saying oh the boss is out out we will get back no ringing back of course I said I have a legal right to return this if I am not happy with it. So at this stage it looks like I have a fight on my hands. I have purchased he asked nearly all my furnishings from this store in gympie and niw for me to be treated like this is appalling I want my money back and for you to take away this monstrosity you call a quality setting”
“Absolute Scam bought washing machine paid 5 year warranty it looks like they have a subsidary called product care whos job is to auto decline any warranty complaints but first they send another party out to assess thats says no
If you protest there are processes with obstacles and delays to frustrate you I am a quadriplegic 7 this has been a nightmare & still on going OVER A DOOR SEAL
Dont have anything to do with them”
“Do not get your photo’s developed at Moorabbin Harvey Norman.
Don’t waste your time and money!
Very poor quality standard now. Pictures look yellow, not white and bright.
The printer they have now is terrible, but the staff will try and convince you that it is fine. Treat you like an idiot! Quite rude.
I was not impressed by their poor customer service.
I have been developing photo’s there for many, many years, so l definitely know what lm talking about with picture quality.
They have lost a loyal customer.
Afterwards, l had the pictures developed at Kmart where the photo’s were high quality and white…… not a bland yellow colour like at Harvey Norman.”
“It's end January. Christmas present ordered well I'm advance of Christmas has not arrived. Harvey Norman don't seem particularly bothered. Don't order from them!”
“Harvey Norman run scam online sales, which take money from hard working Australians but don't deliver on products ordered. Stay away! Their Fraud Review process is simply a way for them to cancel non profitable sales.”
“Very Very smooth Salesman offered many great deals on a mobile phone deal. Got the paperwork signed and not until the final settlement I realised I was coned. Be very careful these people will tell you anything to get a sale.”
“Please, please do not use them. You place the order, they charge you full amount and then cancel the order. Read other reviews, there are so many victims of these scammers.”
“Bought a TV roughly 5 months ago, it started producing purple lines through the screen. Rang Harvey Norman for the warranty and was told somebody would get back to me. 2 months went by and nobody hadn’t contacted me and so I called them. The person I spoke to was awesome and told me to come in for a replacement Tv as this was unacceptable. I knocked of work, went home and grabbed my TV and if I went to Harvey Norman. When I got there, they were nothing but rude and unhelpful just wanted me to pay more money and to top it of they did not have any TV available for me. I ended up leaving empty handed, I even had to go back inside to ask them for my TV that I had bought in to have replaced. The manager bought the TV out to the car for me, I not only have a TV with purple lines through it during any screen time it now also has this little crack/scratch looking part on the top of my screen. Will never purchase anything from you guys again. Bad service and does not stand up to the requirements of the warranty. I rang the head office and they said they will find out what’s happening and it’s now been a week and I still haven’t heard anything from you guys. Bad communication and service all round.”
“I had my mum buy a USB-C to headphone jack cable. Gave her a screenshot on ebay selling for $2 with details.
She calls me and says the guy gave her a $20 and its by apple.
I come back with a lightning cable to headphone jack and its another brand but it's compatible for apple. Something is not right.
1. wrong cable
2. wrong brand”
“Bought a sofa for over 5k. Within a week the recliner sqeaked. I had the entire mechanics replaced under warranty. When it was replaced, I sat on it and the new one immediately sqeaked. The repair man from HN said it was normal. A few months on, the 5k recliner sofa is now mostly used as a regular couch because of this problem. Clearly they believe this is normal.”
