“We had a great holiday and would have given a five star review. However we left a glowing review with one area we thought needed improvement. The company then edited the review and took the comment out. So I don’t trust their reviews.”

“Excellent accommodation and exactly as described. I love the need to know section which encapsulates all the relevant information in a simple menu. A welcome pack was included which was appreciated as it contained milk and cereal and prosecco! I have used holidaycottages.co.uk several times for family breaks and have always been happy with my choice based on the information given.”

“We had a fantastic long weekend at this wonderful cottage - we were welcomed with a beautiful Easter hamper with local produces. The cottage had everything we needed and more. We loved the area as well - great hikes and pubs to finish - would definitely go back”

“We were a party of 3 couples, on arrival the outside looks a bit dated, once inside, absolutely wonderful, my husband and I had the ground floor room and used the wet room / wc for our own and the other couples had the 2 double rooms upstairs each with their own bathrooms, the kitchen and utility room had everything you could possibly need. The pub was about 20 mins walk, dog friendly and the regular customers and staff were all lovely, we had 3 dogs with us so after we walked back we had a takeaway curry delivered from a list the owners provided, it was delicious .. the nights were chilly over Easter and we lit the log burner with logs provided and brought a few more while out on our travels. The dining area was great for eating together and the living room whilst quite small was very comfy and as well as the television there were games provided. We used the washing machine - tablets were provided. We would not hesitate to rebook as we all had a wonderful time ☺️ hope this helps you decide.”

“Good quality accommodation in a unique setting next to the club house on a golf course. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to combine a short break with a round of golf or to just explore the area. Only issue was a lack of cooking utensils hence the 4 stars.”

“Cold and damp when we arrived. Could not use rhe front door. No wardrobes to hang clothes. Had to clean cooker and sink area before we could use them. Not able to use bbq or fire pit and no useable garden furniture.”

“New lands was dirty we had to clean the kitchen before we could use it. There was must around the floors and windows. The mop left to clean the floors was outside in a dirty bucket and was green so not sure when it was last used. No leaflets to let you know what is in the area. Appreciate we were advised there wasn’t a welcome pack but surely that doesn’t include basic information. It didn’t feel like a holiday home at all”

“Oldfield house was spotlessly clean on arrival, very spacious and well equipped. Easy to park on the road close by as we were a group we had more than one car. The heating was easy to regulate, plentiful hot water for eight of us. Nice quiet area, shame the pub behind had closed a couple of weeks before we got there, but only a five minute walk into Windemere. Would recommend.”

“There was an issue when I first arrived at Conifer Cottage this year but once I let Holiday Cottages know, it was dealt with immediately in a very satisfactory fashion. The staff are always welcoming and friendly.”

“The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Only negative thing is the heating is on a set timer. Cottage was too cold to be comfortable during the day. Heating came on evening time 7-11 pm only. Password protected. Would advise to Take a small heater.”

“Bow Cottage was well placed for visiting Notth Norfolk and its wonderful bird reserves. A roomy comfortable cottage and pleasant to relax in after days out. We did have some issues with the central heating which never seemed to come on in the morning. The double bedroom was lovely but the mattress was very firm - obviously a personal taste.”
