“Why can you not get instant booking? I waited days to get a confirmation and nothing. I finally called and the woman that answered was very unhelpful. I finally got through to someone that was very helpful and did it instantly. But why did I have to go through all this? Just allow us to book!”

“The owners of Goscar Court 1 are to be congratulated for the care they gave to the quality of equipment and presentation of the apartment. It looks recently refurbished and was done to avery high standard. I have no hesitation to recommending this truly 5 star holiday experience”

“Had a wonderful stay in Embsay nr. Skipton at beautifully fitted out Jackdaw Cottage. Mostly, the booking process was very straightforward and easy to complete, and everything during our stay went very smoothly. My only gripe is that, having paid a hefty 'accidental damage' deposit of £200 (and having left Jackdaw Cottage exactly as we were instructed to do, with no breakages or other issues), it then took over a week for my £200 deposit to be refunded.”

“we had a great time at pen goppa so much that we stayed an extra couple of days ,The location is beyond perfect and the property is very private ( you cant see any other houses from the garden or the house ) which suits us just fine . The hot tub is soooo good .I would have given 5 stars if it wasnt for a few maintenance issues .We would love to come here again some time in the future and make more use of the huge outdoor space in the warmer months.”

“This property fell far below the standard advertised. It was not clean, not properly prepared and not suitable for a family stay — especially over Christmas and at a premium price. On arrival we found multiple hygiene and maintenance issues including heavy dust and debris, dirty kitchen areas, unclean pans and utensils, unsanitary toilet brushes, a full hoover, inadequate crockery, and appliances that did not function properly. We also discovered a decomposing bird outside the kitchen window and a vape on top of a kitchen cupboard. These are basic standards that should never be missed in a professionally managed holiday let. Waste provision was completely inadequate for the size of the property, leaving rubbish overflowing with nowhere appropriate to dispose of it. Privacy and security were also unacceptable. The owners were living next door throughout the stay, with their garden directly behind the kitchen window — this was not clearly disclosed. Their dogs repeatedly attempted to access the property, and on Boxing Day the gate was left open, causing our dog to escape and creating a distressing safety risk. Instead of enjoying our family Christmas, we spent much of the time cleaning and making the property safe. Holiday Cottages have refused to resolve our formal complaint, stating we should have reported issues during the stay. However, the owners being on site made this extremely uncomfortable, and we did not wish to create confrontation over Christmas. Despite providing evidence, the complaint remains unresolved. This experience did not meet basic expectations for cleanliness, safety, privacy or customer care. I would not recommend. I have tried to add my catalogue of pictures but they don’t seem to be accepted on here”

“Love this cottage. We needed somewhere we could relax and have a proper break, and this is perfect. Plenty of space for the dogs to run about. The sauna and hot tub were great after a day of walking the Manifold Way. We found a lovely pub with log fires good food and great beer - The Jervis Arms. David and Denise are fabulous hosts and left us to it after initial introductions. The road to the cottage is interesting in snowy weather but doable with care.”
