“Lovely farm cottage we’ve stayed at many times. Tricky to book as availability was inconsistent on a couple of sites but as it’s walking distance from family we were keen to stay so persisted and finally got things sorted by a phone call.”

“The house my family and I stayed in to celebrate special birthdays was absolutely amazing. The warm welcome from the host we received on arrival to us all enjoying the extensive space of the house and grounds was fantastic. Perfect for our family adults and children catered for all. Loved every minute and didn’t want to leave,”

“Unfortunately there was refurbishment going on in next property, on the Thursday we were woke at 7.30 am with banging and drilling, other days there was what sounded like sanding.”

“Beautiful location but given the cost of this property was disappointed with the cleanliness and upkeep. General cleanliness was not as good as it should be. Grill pan was dirty and unusable. Hairdryer was left on floor of bedroom, dressing table drawers were grubby with hair left in them. Dust and crumbs under sofa. Some electric blinds not working. Some of the light bulbs were not working and no replacements left. Lights in fridge and oven not working.”

“Not often is the reality better than the photos, but in this case it was. Cosy, otherworldly, you really feel like the lord and lady of the manor. Run a bath, open a bottle and just relax. Wonderful!”

“We had a great stay at Ivy cottage - two adults and two dogs. Everything you could think of was in the kitchen and we loved using the coffee machine. The garden was great for the dogs and I’m sure if it had been summer we would have enjoyed sitting outside with our morning coffee. The location was great. We tried out both local pubs and enjoyed the common for dog walks. We would definitely stay again if we were visiting the area.”

“Lovely holiday in the Peak District staying on outskirts of Matlock. One of the best holiday cottages we've stayed in. Very comfortable, well appointed and has everything you want in a holiday cottage. Dog friendly, lovely welcome hamper and visit from the owner after we arrived.”
