“When we arrived at our destination, we couldn't open the door. We couldn't get hold of the owner.The staff at holiday cottages were very calm and apologetic. They tried to contact the property owner too and after some time, with no luck, they offered us some money to get a meal and said they would find somewhere else for us to stay. As it happens that was eventually not necessary. However that experience gave us confidence to continue using holiday cottages. The website is easy to search and the booking process simple to navigate. I would definitely recommend.”

“Booking was easy and straightforward. Photos are essential in helping to choose…Rosecroft needed a photo of stairs to help ensure we could manage. No dogs upstairs needs to be made clear also. Fridge door was low on floor, had to kneel to use. Otherwise it was clean, comfortable and location great.”

“Had a fantastic time in Cornwall, all at short notice, in a cottage not far from Looe. Excellent accommodation and perfectly equipped. We’ll definitely be using you again!”

“The cottage we booked was comfortable. Booking was easy, reminder for final payment came a few weeks before due date, would of appreciated another day's before as I might of forgotten.”

“Had a lovely holiday at the cottage. Fully enclosed garden which was safe for the dog to enjoy. Well equipped kitchen and a fabulous walk-in shower. Spacious bedroom and comfortable lounge. Hot tub was very relaxing listening to the birds and the flowing river. Pub 3 minutes away serving good food at reasonable prices. Looking forward to returning for another stay in the future.”

“The location was great. House clean and comfortable. Access easy. The only issue we had was that we didn’t find out at time of booking that our dog would not be allowed upstairs. Had we have known we would have searched for a different property.”

“Simply awful. Don't let the photos deceive. It's dirty. It needs an overhaul. The garden is unsafe. No complaints were met with anything other than contempt from both the vendor or holidaycottages.co.uk. £250 a night.”

“Holiday Cottages is a booking agent for holiday properties owned by others. This is a review of the booking agent not of any individual property. Holiday Cottages offer you two options when booking - a cheaper nonrefundable option, or a more expensive “Fully Refundable” option. However, when I cancelled 5 minutes later, they do not give a full refund when you chose Fully Refundable - they only refund the cheaper amount and they pocket the extra you paid, saying that was the cost of paying for the Fully Refundable holiday insurance. But they do not make it clear when you book that “Fully Refundable” that it is actually not fully refundable. I call this misleading sharp practice.”

“Fair …. The area the cottage was in. Bad …. The bed wasn’t made up as requested, twice I mentioned the requirement of the bed and it wasn’t met. It wasn’t made as a King Size, it was just two Single Beds made as single beds pushed together. Small Conservatory had a nest of Flying Ants. Cleaning items stored in a cupboard with Crockery. Bucket & Mop, Brush & Dustpan stood beside Dining Table, Filthy Microwave. Washer drawer was filthy. Hoover & Highchair stored un Wardrobe. Garden was covered in pebbles … not Pet Friendly. For the Price paid the Cottages was terrible.”

“Happy?------Good Location, private, comfortable garden area, good parking.Nicely decorated. Very nice gifts from Landlords but basic cupboard contents minimal at best. Not quite so happy?-----sadly seating supplied(different to photo at booking) not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, single story accommodation chosen for . good reasons”

“We had a fantastic stay at Ty Glyndwr and would highly recommend it. The property had everything you could possibly need and was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The hot tub was a real highlight and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. There’s an Asda just a five-minute drive away, and several local pubs within walking distance. We also found some excellent restaurants nearby. During our stay we visited the National Show Caves, Rhossili Bay, and many other beautiful places, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. Steve, the owner, was incredibly helpful and always on hand if we needed anything. He also recommended some great places to visit, which really added to our holiday. A wonderful place to stay—we wouldn’t hesitate to return!”

“Great selection of accommodation with clear details of facilities and realistic photos. Easy to filter where, what and when you are looking for. Offer of Accidental damage insurance is good. Once booked, good communications with company and then owner is much appreciated.”
