“There’s an excellent selection of properties and locations to choose from. The information provided for each letting is comprehensive and very helpful. For example: my husband always requires off street parking outside the property. The website is easy to use and once you have booked Holiday Cottages keep you well informed and updated about anything you need to know. They’re also friendly and helpful if you need to phone them with a supplementary question.”

“I would give zero stars if I could for… I would give zero stars if I could for human empathy My husband (34) who has Motor Neurone disease found out that he now has to have an operation to insert a feeding tube-PEG the same dates as a booking we made with this company through Air B&B , we asked if we could move the booking to end of September as we understood that there wasn’t any refundable options , hoping the host had a heart and would do it discretionary given our circumstances, but no … pretty awful really, so now on top of our horrendous situation we are now £1500 out of pocket , which now stops us from booking any more breaks to make memories whilst we can because this company is heartless . Do not book through this company Date of experience: 01 August 2025”

“No problem up to the stage where holiday cottages took our money . On arrival there were no instructions about any of the equipment. We rang the management company who were very prompt in getting the television working.I then sat down on one of the balcony chairs and the rusty tubular steel broke, narrowly missing my thigh. On inspection all the chairs were badly rusted and dangerous.The whole place , though clean, seemed neglected. The owners ,who were abroad do not seem to care about the property. I do not think it is the fault of the management company. There was no welcome pack and no visitors book. I think holiday cottages need to inspect the properties more carefully. I was asked for feedback about the cottage and I informed them about all of the above, but I received no reply. It seems that once the company has your money, that is the end of their involvement, so why ask for feedback ?”

“First time using Holidaycottages. You were great, when I sent payment you updated me. Then Went very quiet. I then tried to contact you about my booking. Online chat timed out. Tried calling at least three times, phone rang out no answer! Emailed you only to receive the email when leaving for my booking My last ditch attempt, I was going to pull my booking! I contacted the housekeeper Kerry, who was so informative and helpful. She did say after you’ve taken payment you generally go quiet. I have used other companies who have been so easy to deal with. I’m concerned with your lack of Customer service. Online chat timed out, no one answered my calls, email received when leaving for my property. Can you Please answer my concerns. I’m a little hesitant to use you again. Your property was amazing and all high end. It was a lovely stay with the help of Kerry but I felt Holidaycottages fell Short big time.”

“We stayed at Pound Retreat Chardstock A fabulous property and offered everything we needed. The owners were very amicable and helpful. The cottage was lovely and peaceful and well equipped. The village was quiet, but close to many places of interest and amenities. Totally recommend the homemade scones which greet you on arrival. We loved it Holiday cottages made booking this property nice and smooth.”

“Lovely views, very peaceful. However freezer needed defrosting, difficult to open door sometimes.Also back bedroom pillows very uncomfortable. Otherwise everything as it should be”
