“You were very good with the booking and pre arrival info. We were not so happy with Platinum 3 Lodge, Rascarrel Bay and I have already sent you one review, as requested, but have had no response. Our disappointment was more with the owners than yourselves. The only disappointment with Holiday Cottages was your description of the beach at Rascarrel Bay as being stunning. It’s not, nothing stunning about it at all. The view across the sea is stunning, the beach is covered in large rocks and best steered clear of. The complaints I’d like conveyed to the owners is that the kitchen is inadequately equipped with cheap and tatty tools and pans, the bed sheet had a hole in it, the shower pressure was poor, the sofa was worn and uncomfortable, the low dining room chairs are a joke and the hot tub is well past its sell by date. The place is worth nothing like its premium price and the owners need a wake up call. I know you’d prefer glowing reviews but I hope you’ll take note and respond, which you didn’t to the first request you made to me.”

“We had a great stay at Newby Farm Cottage, it was beautifully done outand was spotless. It was in a lovely part of Yorkshire (Huby),nics and quiet ut not too far away from other towns and villages.The owners were very friendly and said to just let them know if we needed anything. We will be booking again.”

“Great communication from Holidaycottages.co.uk. We really enjoyed our stay and the location was amazing for us. Could maybe provided more detail on the fact that the cottage didn't have a fence on the front garden and that it led onto a shared drive. Also would have been good to know that part of the orignal back garden is now fenced off and given to the cottage next door - not an issue in itself but not very private for either parties as the fencing is open ranch fencing.”

“Easy to book. Query about the amount of parking available was answered quickly. Holiday house was as described, well-equipped, spotlessly clean and in a very good location. Holiday Cottages recommended contacting the owners a week prior to arrival to obtain entry code, but the owners got in touch before I called them. A very pleasant experience all round”

“Description of cottage accurate. Easy website to use and book, clear instructions to destination and owners very welcoming and supplied a welcome basket plus information for our stay and places to visit. Cottage in a lovely location with lovely views, well designed garden and cottage, very comfortable and very well equipped and thoughtful extras such as blankets and items for the dog. Washing line and drying clothes horse.”

“We stayed at Gower Tides, The Stable, which was a beautiful cottage. Full of character and painstakingly renovated to a very high standard. We loved the exposed stone walls and many of the original features still visible. It had everything you would need for a long stay, a real home from home. It was the perfect base to explore Wales and we paid visits from the Mumbles to The Black Mountains on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. If you don’t fancy cooking indoors then the local amenities are only a walk away. We had our own space to relax in outside at the back of the property with far reaching views over fields, hills and Swansea Bay. We particularly loved the horses that would come up to our low stone wall from over the fields most days. A beautiful place to stay”

“We stayed at a lodge on the Holkham Estate. We called the helpline three times as we couldn't find the lodge, we did eventually find it after driving around for an hour. The help desk wasn't particularly helpful on all three calls. A map showing where the lodge is situated would have been really helpful. The grill in the oven was caked in old cheese from someone presumably making cheese on toast, also remnants of something else in the oven. We had to clean it before using it! There was stains on the mattress cover which were pretty gross. Although not related to the Lodge, dog poo bins are scarce so additional bins scattered around the estate would be desirable. Would we stay here again? No.”

“A perfect stay atBunny Hall. The accomodation was excellent - clean, well equipped and spacious. The grounds were a delight, with the herd of deer proving a great hit with our grandchildren. Peaceful and relaxing. Communication with the owner was smooth and trouble free -speedy and efficient. The several flights of stairs to the apartment were challenging for the oldies but we managed! Having left a charger in the apartment, the owner kindly sent it back to us - and wouldn't hear of our paying the postage. That's what I call perfect customer service. Definitely one to recommend”
