"\u00a3108 Farrow & Ball paint tin arrived unsealed with tape around the lid (so the paint has spoiled), dried paint around the rim (so the lid can\u2019t be closed after application) and paint leaking inside the cardboard packaging (so a quantity of paint has been lost). \r\n\r\nThey claimed this \u201cis not uncommon\u201d which is a worry. They said it \u201cwill not compromise the quality of the paint\u201d which is a lie based on what Farrow & Ball say. They refused a refund, offering a small tin to replace the lost paint. \r\n\r\nDon\u2019t waste your time and money!"

"Never Ever Homebase Again, not only kithcen but any product i will boycott from Homebase as i was utterly disappointment with my recent buying kitchen and bath experience. \r\nMy experience has been disappointing, and despite all efforts to resolve the issues, the resolution remains unsatisfactory.\r\n\r\nInitially, I was impressed with the assistance provided by your kitchen designer, Reece. However, the problems began once the products were delivered. It became evident that the design was flawed and did not align with the initial sales techniques.\r\n\r\nWhen I raised these concerns with the store manager, Matt, I found his response to be unhelpful and dismissive. His suggestion to escalate the issue to the Financial Ombudsman seemed more like an attempt to deflect rather than address the problem.\r\n\r\nAlthough I later received support from Molly at Homebase head office, who was diligent in her efforts, the issues with the kitchen design persist. The gaps and discrepancies remain unresolved, and I feel that the product was oversold relative to my needs.\r\n\r\nGiven the unsatisfactory resolution and the treatment I received, I will not be purchasing from Homebase in the future. I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience for others.I try to refrain from writing bad review however homebase team prompt me to write one. Avoid Kitchen and bath at all cost!"

"Bought two sets of Albi Garden furniture. A month after the second set arrived, rust started to appear on the chairs. Homebase refuse to anything about it and say that it is not a manufacturing defect and that it should never get wet. Ever. Really? Perhaps this set should be described as indoor or conservatory furniture rather than garden furniture. Homebase is definitely not what it was. Avoid like the plague."

The operatives communication was hard to understand butshe told me at first the order was scheduled for 26\/12\/2023!\r\n\r\nI informed her no its due today 5th jan and why hasnt the courier xpo contacted me. She said she would investigate and get back to me.\r\n\r\nI received an email from a ' Rutuja' stating\r\n\r\nRutuja (Homebase)\r\n\r\n5 Jan 2024, 15:44 GMT\r\n\r\nHello,\r\n\r\nGreetings for the Day!\r\n\r\nWe got an update from the carrier XPO that they are tring to contact you but there is no reponse from your end.\r\n\r\nThey informed that It will be afternoon delivery. They deliver from 7am-7pm\r\n\r\nKind Regards,\r\n\r\n\r\nRutuja\r\nHomebase Customer Services'\r\n\r\nThis comment contained an absolute fabrication . Nobody from XPO had contacted me.\r\n\r\nSo i rang XPO direct at 3.53 pm and spoke to a helpful lady \" victoria\" she said nobody had tried to contact me as the goods were still in the warehouse and i would only be contacted once the delivery left the warehouse and it would be a text. She than again confirmed there was no record of me being called by xpo.\r\n\r\nSo \" Rutuja\" in Homebase Customer Service was lying and gaslighting the already inconvenienced customer. Not on. Not on at all to try to apportion blame to a customer and lie like that.\r\n\r\nI wont be dealing with Homebase again."

"Bought a Howells Led flush bathroom light for 22.50 in the sale at Richmond. The package clearly shows a ceiling light photo and nowhere does it say it is for wall use only except on the internal instruction. Took it back for a refund or exchange and the manager point blank refused either. He said that there were no refund notices up, though admitted they only went up yesterday, well after the sale started. I feel mugged and cheated of normal customer expectations."

"Dreadful customer service. Had to call 6 times and was cut off 3 times. Incorrect item delivered, corner sofa with 3 arms. That no one could understand wasn\u2019t correct. it could now take up to 14 days for courier to contact me to arrange a date to collect item and deliver another. Very poor show Homebase. Will never order on line again from you."
