3 delivery dates not met. No communication on any of these dates to tell me it was delayed or not being delivered. I have wasted 2 days holiday at work and also ive had to turn tradespeople away. I spent 1 hour on hold with customer services only for the call to go silent when I tell them I want a refund. No call back , nothing! The way this has been handled is a total and utter disgrace. Do not buy from these people!!! Looking at the reviews I'm not the only one having similar issues

I am so furious with the service I have got from this company!! A bed which was ordered 6 weeks ago and payment taken immediately has been cancelled today , a day before it was due to be delivered! I have 3 days to get a replacement before family arrive!! Terrible I am awaiting a manager to ring me back regarding compensation, and I have cancelled the order!! Have been told the managers are very busy and it may take 48 hrs for them to call me back ! I'm not surprised they are busy , having to deal with irate customers . Don't use them ! I won't be back

Homebase is a shambolic, steaming pile of poo. I ordered a storage chest for the garden and paid via PayPal. Soon afterwards, I was contacted by their customer service team saying the chest was out of stock and they had issued a refund which should be with me in 3-5 days. All fine ... until it wasn't. Surprise, surprise, the refund never turned up. Finally, after about 3 weeks, I gave up giving them the benefit of the doubt and emailed customer services to explain the situation. I received an unforgivably useless email back that implied the customer service 'worker' hadn't really seemed to have grasped the situation properly - for I was told they had now issued a 'cancellation request' for my order (my order, no less, that had already apparently been cancelled due to there being no stock???) and that they would be in touch as soon as my refund was processed and issued. Again, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited, but to date (over a month since first contact), I have received no refund and no further contact from them. Having emailed one final time asking what the hell is going on and receiving no reply whatsoever, I have now started a claim via PayPal. Homebase couldn't provide a decent service if they tried. They are money-grabbing, thieving swindlers with a customer service unit that is beyond piddle poor. Avoid like the plague.

Apaling Our experience, we haven't had one. Ordered garden furniture a week ago, delivery fee paid for delivery 24th. Taken time off work, waited in all day. 2 phone calls of 35 mins, no answer. 3rd call, phone answered at 46 mins, no sorry can't find your order, can I put you on hold. 26 minutes on hold at my cost. Still no further forward as I had to put the call down. 2 emails later, still no reply. Wish we had read the poor reviews before we spent £1120 on your product which we have still not recieved. Shocking and disgraceful customer service. You should not take the order unless you can forfill it. £1120 down and still no products. Ombudsman it is then to get resolved. No one has the decency or common courtesy to reply.

This company is beyond a joke! Their customer service is absolutely disgusting. I placed my order, they readily took payment, I waited a month for my delivery, delivery date came and went. Spent a total for 5 and a half hours SO FAR on the phone to customer service. Delivery was cancelled because item was out of stock. No communication from homebase. I am now fighting to get my money back... And they stated as a good will gesture they will refund my postage!! Umm... That's not a good will gesture. That's money I paid for something you didn't receive. Absolutely appalling. I recommend everyone steer clear!!

I ordered paint, brushes and rollers at the end of March. The delivery was 3 - 5 days. Then when the order was placed this became 7 - 10 days due to Coronavirus (fair enough). The next i heard it was going to be the 25th April. The brushes and rollers arrived - no paint. What use are brushes and rollers without paint. The next correspondence stated I could collect from a branch on 27th April if I wanted. I couldn't get to the branch, so have I waited for the delivery. A week later still no paint - the other half is suggesting that if I don't get the paint soon we'll have put the house on the market, sold it and moved and the new owners (or possibly the ones after that) will have a surprise delivery of paint they didn't know they had ordered. There is definitely frustration in the household. It has been suggested that she who must be obeyed might find somewhere for her to put the brushes and rollers, which will cause me difficulty in walking, let alone painting. So here I am waiting for the goods to arrive and am thinking it might be quicker to just go toe B and Q or Wickes as they are now open again. Will I ever see the paint that I paid for? Will sterling still be legal tender when it does arrive? How many children will Boris have between now and then? Will Prince William have ascended to the throne? When my grandchildren ask what I did during the great corona crisis of 2020, I will be able to tell them 'nothing, I sat waiting for paint to arrive'. They used to say that it was boring watching paint dry. I wouldn't know - I haven't seen any to know how long it takes to dry. I bet it would be quicker than the time it takes to deliver. When it does arrive, if it ever arrives, I bet the colour will look nothing like that on the website. It's no good. I think I am going to go down the garden and eat some worms. Marvin the Andriod was not as depressed as this paint saga is making me. Here I am, brain the size of a planet...............

We made the mistake of ordering a new Kitchen from Homebase. We were cash buyers but we're not told by the Sales Manager that they would want cash up front. We turned up for the final meeting after the fitter had been round and had corrected the errors the salesman had made to be told they wanted paying that day. I did not have the money ready so was talked into a finance arrangement with Barclays Finance. Then had trouble trying to pay it off when the fitter had finished. In addition the the Salesman had ordered twice the number of wall tiles needed and too much flooring, when we took them back we were told we could not have a refund, only a credit due to the finance arrangement. We had been assured by the Sales Manager that all problems would be corrected by the time fitter had finished but not so.Hob did not work properly from day of fitting, now been waiting over a month for replacement. Was promised stock would be in this week, today told it will be at least another week. Sick of ringing their helpline and being promised calls back to let us know what was happening, only had one call back and that was to tell us of another delay.I was given mobile number of Area manager, she does not answer the telephone and does not respond to messages left on her phone. Should not have placed order in first place but kitchen did look nice. Their fitting charge is very expensive and the fitter does not get paid anywhere near what they are charging. The only redeeming feature was that we had a very experienced and competent fitter who did an excellent job. No more Homebase for me.

I am currently working at a Homebase store and I am ashamed by our delivery system, we get angered customers on a daily basis which we as the customer assistants completely understand and we too are angry as much as the customers are at our logistics and delivery system. I would not recommend using home delivery, if you are in desperate need get a store delivery if you don't have a strict time budget. The reservation system is fine in store, only come to pick up the item when it has been confirmed because it may say we have stock but it's common that we don't. If the online site says we have stock always call or reserve to avoid disappointment

****AVOID Buying Homebase Kitchens**** Full New Kitchen / Wrong/Faulty Worktops 2 Occasions - Still not resolved after 7 weeks Shocking Company Ordered a complete new kitchen and the worktops were wrong or faulty on two occasions, the store wont even give me contact details for head office complaints. This is still ongoing with no resolution or contact. I would avoid ordering a kitchen or any products from Homebase as when things go wrong they seem to ignore you and bury their heads in the sand. ***AVOID HOMEBASE AT ALL COSTS - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE*** Homebase if you could get your director/s to contact me that would be appreciated before I look to take legal action.

on the 14th August my wife bought a 5 litre tin of Homebase paint. Unfortuntately it exploded in her car. She came home covered in white paint as she had attempted to clear up the mess when she parked in a nearby car park. Anyway we contact customer compliants and they advised us to send over images and proof of purchase which we did. Then the management at the Woking Branch got involved. That is the branch where we purchased the paint. The general tone of thier emails was that they did not believe us. Then the area manager boosted that he has never heard of a can of paint from Homebase exploding. I have subsequnetly found this article as follows:- http://www.diyweek.net/tin-of-paint-explodes-over-homebase-customer The 14 August was a particularly hot day and I thought it was important to tell homebase about this issue because I feel that they should warn their customers about carrying paint in these extreme temperature. But instead we got a very COLD and NEGATIVE response. I think it started from the minute go. I have a good idea why that is the case!!! Something to do with my origin! DO NOT SHOP AT HOMEBASE. If you read the link about the other case it is perfectly clear that Homebase use sharp practice when they deal with customer rather than in the spirit of good customer relations.

Placed order for flooring, underlay and floor tool kit. Chose option to get everything delivered on Tuesday and only one item arrived, so I called customer service who assured me that my other orders will arrive by Thursday. Today is Friday and I have dismantled all bedroom furniture and taken old flooring up ready for new flooring, but still has not arrived. Such an inconvenience and no apologies or updates unless I contact Homebase myself and even then can not trust what I am being told. I have lost total faith in Homebase, even paying £30 for delivery does not ensure we get the products on time nor get any updates. Terrible customer service.

My husband ordered Florence garden set from Drakehouse shop Sheffield Paid for it and order got a numbere mail to confirm the purchase ,then he a got telephone call to say they had sold the set, He wasn’t happy so went to store to find out what happened. He spoke to the manager he just said it was sold end of? How do we get our Money back in 4-5 days Takes minutes to tell you it’s out of stock He then asked him could we have the display Model No So my husband looked to see where else to get one from Newark had one, so he ordered this one, ordered it got order number and e mail confirmation of purchase Then got a call to say they only had the Display model they were very apologetic the lady was very nice which they agreed to sell We said OK But thinking about it overnight , the logistics of getting to Sheffield was too difficult So we won’t be going to collect it or shop with yourselves anymore My main complaint is the differences in the standards of shops

Awful customer service I ordered a Patio set which arrived with two bent chairs and a missing table. All the customer service will do is send out a new set which is supposed to arrive within 7 days. They cannot give a date I just have to wait. It's impossible to talk to anyone in the UK, the Indian call centre can't deviate from the script.

Horrific customer service- paid for delivery of my chosen day and waited all day with no update from Homebase apparently it is not their policy to inform you that your delivery will not met!! Then the second day they say delivery will be between 10.16 am and 12.16 😩 4.40 and nothing. Apparently they forgot 🤬 unprofessional is an understatement do not order and pay for delivery from this company it is a poor shambolic service. I have had to contact them several times but nothing from them saying they can’t call me as unable to call out !!
