Well Homebase do not even deserve a 1-star rating. Awful customer service - when they eventually hitt back to me via email!! Bought a sofa only 6/7 months ago, that cost £359. After 4 or so months the cushions impacted as the inner material is cheap. Plus they sent me the wrong design, a sofa with 3 cushions instead of 2. Took ages to get a response from my complaint and sent photos of evidence. After lots of back and forth over email they are saying I am to blame. And contradicted themselves. Firstly said it was down to me to regularly plump them, which dah, obviously I tried. Then their latest email said the supplier blames me for trying 'redress' them (which I never) and I am the cause of this wear and tear. Now going down the legal route to get my refund. All they offered was to send out new inserts which will no doubt be of the same poor quality. NEVER AGAIN will I purchase from the disgraceful company!!!!

This is specifically re: Homebase online. I ordered a product on the 11 May and received a confirmation email stating delivery would be by the 13 May. Nothing arrived on the 13 May and when I contacted customer service I was advised that I ordered on the 12 May and that delivery would be on the 14 May. This was a lie and I sent proof of this. Today, 14 May I received an email from customer service to say my item had been left with a neighbour and to check the calling card. I then discovered the calling card had not been posted through my letterbox but left outside the door! To make matters worse the calling card was completely blank so I had no idea with which neighbour the item was with. This was the first time ordering from Homebase and it will certainly be the last. It is completely unreliable and their customer service is non existent. Overall an appalling service. MY ADVICE IS TO NOT BUY FROM HOMEBASE ONLINE.

Homebase is an absolute awful company do not buy from them if you have an issue with a product you won’t be able to get in touch with them. I spent hours on live chats waiting in queues and no one ever responds. When you do get through your waiting 5 days for a reply to an email and getting no where. It’s honestly alwful do not use them!

Ordered garden bar online luckily paid by PayPal as promised delivery date was incorrect and not adhered too. This happened twice thereafter with no delivery. Customer services are a joke either by phone or website. What's really sad is that Homebase was once a good reputable company however since The Range took over its a mess. My advice is stay well clear.

The goods delivered weren’t good so I wanted to return. Tried phoning the number online no response. 100 calls made in 4 hrs!! Tried contacting customer service for returns slip but as I checked out as a guest wouldn’t let me through. Sent email for complaint but returned unsent. I will never ever ever use this firm again.

. Delivery arrived on a different day to that advised 2. Item left outside, no signature 3. Only part order received, no sign of second parcel 4. Having sent numerous emails to chase, told it would be received today 5. No delivery updates and no Item received I will never order from Homebase again. Weeks after ordering out of pocket by a considerable amount, only half a order received and Having to go back through customer services to find out what happens next.

Homebase is an absolute disaster of a company. I placed my order twice and they cancelled both times, even though their own customer service confirmed the items were in stock. This shows complete incompetence and proves they cannot be trusted. Homebase was bad before, and clearly nothing has changed — if anything, it has become worse. A company this unreliable doesn’t deserve customers. I will never buy from Homebase again, and I’d strongly warn others to stay away.

Ordered some paint for next day delivery, it turned up 3 days later, but was the wrong paint - complained and explained the issue, told me they'd send correct paint, due today, so checked status, they aren't sending paint and just issued a refund. No communication, no common sense and a big fat waste of time.

£108 Farrow & Ball paint tin arrived unsealed with tape around the lid (so the paint has spoiled), dried paint around the rim (so the lid can’t be closed after application) and paint leaking inside the cardboard packaging (so a quantity of paint has been lost). They claimed this “is not uncommon” which is a worry. They said it “will not compromise the quality of the paint” which is a lie based on what Farrow & Ball say. They refused a refund, offering a small tin to replace the lost paint. Don’t waste your time and money!

Just don’t buy anything from Homebase. I purchased an air conditioner from them, this was dispatched directly from their supplier, the unit had a fault which was a loud knocking noise, I contacted them within 24 hours of delivery and subsequently provided evidence of this. They did not respond within the timeframe they themselves set, taking 3 times as long as this to finally respond and reject my return request with a patronising email that air conditioners make noise during operation. Yes, fan noise and compressor noise are normal…….loud knocking is not. I am now trying to pursue a claim through PayPal for a refund although I am not hopeful. Absolute crooks.

Ordered paint in May, the wrong paint was sent. I was told it would be replaced, it never happened. I’ve lost count of the emails I’ve sent asking for the £99 refund. I was told it was processed on the 3rd July and would see the credit in my account in 3-5 working days. I emailed today asking where my money was, guess what, I’ve been given the wrong information and the money hasn’t been refunded. The paint was supposed to be picked up 10 days ago, I waited in all day and nobody collected it. They now tell me it will be picked up this week so I have to wait in another day. Absolutely shocking service and I will never buy from Homebase again. Beware.

Ordered a shed on line 28th June...Evri got involved and i ve hit the end of the line. No customer service from Homebase....no customer service from Evri. AI bots are pathetic. I will never shop in Homebase again. Having seen the comments re sheds mine will go straight back if and when Evri deliver it. I cant even comment on the quality of the shed or whether or not its damaged as its not here.

DONT BUY FROM HOMEBASE : we bought a metal shed..screwholes don't match cant put doors on and the whole thing is a disaster, when complained i was told to drill the holes myself ?? The screws that should hold it together cant be measured they are tiny ! I've been offered £10 refund lol.for a very sharp tin shed that flaps in the wind with no doors !! 😳 There customer service is a disgrace.. you cant even phone them just a stupid form to fill in .. please be warned xx

Ordered a parasol on 11th . The confirmation clearly stated that it would be delivered on 15th ( today). Nobody has been in touch and when I checked tracking it said delivered by 20th. I really needed this earlier than the 20th . The chat line is useless . I was basically told the order is now with the couriers and the chat was ended instantly. Luckily I took a screenshot otherwise I would not have been able to check the courier tracking. I will not use Homebase again .

Product came ripped and covered in duct tape so clearly a return. Had no screws etc so unable to be built. Clearly didn't check the box upon return and just sent it out again. Live chat were no help said to wait 48 hours just for a response not on how to fix the situation!! Appalling customer service. I've a unit unable to be built and have to wait God knows how long just for a response to sort it out. Could just send a replacement but clearly too difficult for them! Wouldn't order here.

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. SEND YOU FAKE TRACKING RESULTS TO A PACKAGE THAT WILL NEVER SHOW UP. THEN TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE QRONG AND IT DID GET DELIVERED. THEN BASICALLY TELL YOU ITS NOT THEIR FAULT AND THAT THEY CONFIRMED WITH THE POST MASTER AT MY LOCAL POST OFFICE THAT IT WAS DELIVERED. WELL, I LIVE IN A SMALL RURAL TOWN WHERE THE THE POST OFFICE IS SO SMALL THAT THE POSTMASTER IS THE ONLY ONE THERE TO ANSWER THE PHONE. AND YEAH, I SPOKE TO HER DIRECTLY TWICE WHERE SHE CONFIRMED WITH ME THAT THAT PACKAGE WAS NEVER IN THEIR POSSESSION, AND THAT NOBODY EVER REACHED OUT TO HER TO CONFIRM THAT INFORMATION. THEY ARE LIARS AND CHEATS, AND I FILED A FRAUDULENT CLAIM AGAINST THEM WITH PAYPAL TO GET MY MONEY BACK, BUT THEY REFUSED TO HELP ME WITH THE ISSUE OR TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY AFTER THEY TRIED STEALING MY MONEY.

Never Ever Homebase Again, not only kithcen but any product i will boycott from Homebase as i was utterly disappointment with my recent buying kitchen and bath experience. My experience has been disappointing, and despite all efforts to resolve the issues, the resolution remains unsatisfactory. Initially, I was impressed with the assistance provided by your kitchen designer, Reece. However, the problems began once the products were delivered. It became evident that the design was flawed and did not align with the initial sales techniques. When I raised these concerns with the store manager, Matt, I found his response to be unhelpful and dismissive. His suggestion to escalate the issue to the Financial Ombudsman seemed more like an attempt to deflect rather than address the problem. Although I later received support from Molly at Homebase head office, who was diligent in her efforts, the issues with the kitchen design persist. The gaps and discrepancies remain unresolved, and I feel that the product was oversold relative to my needs. Given the unsatisfactory resolution and the treatment I received, I will not be purchasing from Homebase in the future. I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience for others.I try to refrain from writing bad review however homebase team prompt me to write one. Avoid Kitchen and bath at all cost!
