£108 Farrow & Ball paint tin arrived unsealed with tape around the lid (so the paint has spoiled), dried paint around the rim (so the lid can’t be closed after application) and paint leaking inside the cardboard packaging (so a quantity of paint has been lost). They claimed this “is not uncommon” which is a worry. They said it “will not compromise the quality of the paint” which is a lie based on what Farrow & Ball say. They refused a refund, offering a small tin to replace the lost paint. Don’t waste your time and money!

Just don’t buy anything from Homebase. I purchased an air conditioner from them, this was dispatched directly from their supplier, the unit had a fault which was a loud knocking noise, I contacted them within 24 hours of delivery and subsequently provided evidence of this. They did not respond within the timeframe they themselves set, taking 3 times as long as this to finally respond and reject my return request with a patronising email that air conditioners make noise during operation. Yes, fan noise and compressor noise are normal…….loud knocking is not. I am now trying to pursue a claim through PayPal for a refund although I am not hopeful. Absolute crooks.

Ordered paint in May, the wrong paint was sent. I was told it would be replaced, it never happened. I’ve lost count of the emails I’ve sent asking for the £99 refund. I was told it was processed on the 3rd July and would see the credit in my account in 3-5 working days. I emailed today asking where my money was, guess what, I’ve been given the wrong information and the money hasn’t been refunded. The paint was supposed to be picked up 10 days ago, I waited in all day and nobody collected it. They now tell me it will be picked up this week so I have to wait in another day. Absolutely shocking service and I will never buy from Homebase again. Beware.

Ordered a shed on line 28th June...Evri got involved and i ve hit the end of the line. No customer service from Homebase....no customer service from Evri. AI bots are pathetic. I will never shop in Homebase again. Having seen the comments re sheds mine will go straight back if and when Evri deliver it. I cant even comment on the quality of the shed or whether or not its damaged as its not here.

DONT BUY FROM HOMEBASE : we bought a metal shed..screwholes don't match cant put doors on and the whole thing is a disaster, when complained i was told to drill the holes myself ?? The screws that should hold it together cant be measured they are tiny ! I've been offered £10 refund lol.for a very sharp tin shed that flaps in the wind with no doors !! 😳 There customer service is a disgrace.. you cant even phone them just a stupid form to fill in .. please be warned xx

Ordered a parasol on 11th . The confirmation clearly stated that it would be delivered on 15th ( today). Nobody has been in touch and when I checked tracking it said delivered by 20th. I really needed this earlier than the 20th . The chat line is useless . I was basically told the order is now with the couriers and the chat was ended instantly. Luckily I took a screenshot otherwise I would not have been able to check the courier tracking. I will not use Homebase again .

Product came ripped and covered in duct tape so clearly a return. Had no screws etc so unable to be built. Clearly didn't check the box upon return and just sent it out again. Live chat were no help said to wait 48 hours just for a response not on how to fix the situation!! Appalling customer service. I've a unit unable to be built and have to wait God knows how long just for a response to sort it out. Could just send a replacement but clearly too difficult for them! Wouldn't order here.

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. SEND YOU FAKE TRACKING RESULTS TO A PACKAGE THAT WILL NEVER SHOW UP. THEN TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE QRONG AND IT DID GET DELIVERED. THEN BASICALLY TELL YOU ITS NOT THEIR FAULT AND THAT THEY CONFIRMED WITH THE POST MASTER AT MY LOCAL POST OFFICE THAT IT WAS DELIVERED. WELL, I LIVE IN A SMALL RURAL TOWN WHERE THE THE POST OFFICE IS SO SMALL THAT THE POSTMASTER IS THE ONLY ONE THERE TO ANSWER THE PHONE. AND YEAH, I SPOKE TO HER DIRECTLY TWICE WHERE SHE CONFIRMED WITH ME THAT THAT PACKAGE WAS NEVER IN THEIR POSSESSION, AND THAT NOBODY EVER REACHED OUT TO HER TO CONFIRM THAT INFORMATION. THEY ARE LIARS AND CHEATS, AND I FILED A FRAUDULENT CLAIM AGAINST THEM WITH PAYPAL TO GET MY MONEY BACK, BUT THEY REFUSED TO HELP ME WITH THE ISSUE OR TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY AFTER THEY TRIED STEALING MY MONEY.

Never Ever Homebase Again, not only kithcen but any product i will boycott from Homebase as i was utterly disappointment with my recent buying kitchen and bath experience. My experience has been disappointing, and despite all efforts to resolve the issues, the resolution remains unsatisfactory. Initially, I was impressed with the assistance provided by your kitchen designer, Reece. However, the problems began once the products were delivered. It became evident that the design was flawed and did not align with the initial sales techniques. When I raised these concerns with the store manager, Matt, I found his response to be unhelpful and dismissive. His suggestion to escalate the issue to the Financial Ombudsman seemed more like an attempt to deflect rather than address the problem. Although I later received support from Molly at Homebase head office, who was diligent in her efforts, the issues with the kitchen design persist. The gaps and discrepancies remain unresolved, and I feel that the product was oversold relative to my needs. Given the unsatisfactory resolution and the treatment I received, I will not be purchasing from Homebase in the future. I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience for others.I try to refrain from writing bad review however homebase team prompt me to write one. Avoid Kitchen and bath at all cost!

Terrible customer service. They rely on other companies to supply the order, so they take the order and actually have no idea when it is being delivered. They said my order would be late, but would arrive before a certain date. It did not, so I spoke with them to cancel the order (and ordered it somewhere else for a cheaper price). It then arrived several days later, and I've had to speak with their chat several times to try to arrange a collection, which has so far been very painful and slow, and hasn't resulted in a collection. The communication between Homebase and the suppliers seems pretty ineffectual, and I'm not confident that this will get resolved.

Ordered sliding wardrobe doors had to ring customer service to rearranged delivery ate due to our house move being delivered the last time we rang to change delivery date the rearranged no problem then one hour later received an email to say they had cancelled our order!!! Emailed customer service to told to re order so I have had to wait over a month the delivery rep ordered sliding door was supposed to be delivered today and no supprise no show and no response from homebase or courier to say why the delay.

In store purchase . Went for paint for large building unit. Julie was so helpful and knowledgeable we changed what we were going to order for paint she suggested . Julie was so polite and went above and beyond / great customer service . 10/10 sealand Road Chester store

Excellent help from Mark Shannon of the bathroom department at Maidenhead Homebase in May, 2024. Nothing was too much trouble from measuring the bathroom to making sure that I had exactly the right suite and fittings. Because of his service I will be using Homebase in the future.

Homebase's warranty is a scam I bought a BBQ grill from them Texas BBQ LESS THAN A YEAR ago, the material was so rubbish that the tray under the BBQ which holds that fat got completely rotten and fell off (the water doesn't even reach there + it always was covered), also the button that sparks to lid the gas no longer works. I contacted them, because it's in the warranty, and they say it falls into the "regular wear and tear" and didn't do anything, LESS THAN A YEAR. Amazon would refund me, dont buy from this rubbish store.

I bought homebase gloss £15, absolutely terrible, when used went on like a clear film, did return back to homebase but they would refund as the tin was open, do not waste your money

They don't deserve even one star. I have had a terrible experience for five months, and God knows how long I will need to put up with Homebase. In December 2023, I placed a German kitchen, and I have been promised a delivery timeline, which is expected to take up to 6 weeks. However, at the end of January, I received a call with unfortunate news - my kitchen would only arrive in the UK after February 26 and would be delivered curbside. Despised the fact I had in writing from Homebase assuring me it would be delivered inside the flat. On February 28, my kitchen was delivered in the morning. However, upon arrival, the drivers refused to carry the delivery upstairs. To my surprise, the units were damaged, the wrong sizes were delivered, and parts were missing. During the process, we started questioning the absence of the drawer unit. When I tried to return the kitchen due to these issues, I was told that it was against their policy, which was never communicated to me beforehand, even though the kitchen is not of merchantable quality. It took an additional 6-7 weeks to receive the remaining parts of the kitchen, only to find that the wrong colour had been delivered, along with more missing parts. After more than five months of stress and frustration, my kitchen was finally complete at the end of May. In January, I was promised a 10% discount via an email. And now, to add insult to injury, Homebase has offered me a measly compensation of £150 and denied me a 10% discount. Their excuse is that the employee is no longer with the company, and it doesn't matter what I have in writing. It is clear that Homebase takes zero responsibility for its mistakes and does not care about its customers once an order has been placed. On top of that, they will try to intimidate you and blackmail you with a deadline, and if you take this matter further, they will retract this pathetic £150 offer as soon as contact has been made with any third-party dispute scheme. In addition, they proudly told me that my kitchen designer, is no longer with them due to his mistakes. Shame on Homebase for firing your employee and running away from your responsibilities. I urge anyone considering purchasing a kitchen from Homebase to stay away. They will lie to you, make excuses, and refuse to take responsibility for their errors. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service have disgusted and disappointed me. Others must be aware of Homebase's unprofessional and unethical practices regarding kitchen orders. Please do not fall into their trap. If you feel it is right to wait five months for your kitchen, please place an order with them.
