In store purchase . Went for paint for large building unit. Julie was so helpful and knowledgeable we changed what we were going to order for paint she suggested . Julie was so polite and went above and beyond / great customer service . 10/10 sealand Road Chester store

Excellent help from Mark Shannon of the bathroom department at Maidenhead Homebase in May, 2024. Nothing was too much trouble from measuring the bathroom to making sure that I had exactly the right suite and fittings. Because of his service I will be using Homebase in the future.

Homebase's warranty is a scam I bought a BBQ grill from them Texas BBQ LESS THAN A YEAR ago, the material was so rubbish that the tray under the BBQ which holds that fat got completely rotten and fell off (the water doesn't even reach there + it always was covered), also the button that sparks to lid the gas no longer works. I contacted them, because it's in the warranty, and they say it falls into the "regular wear and tear" and didn't do anything, LESS THAN A YEAR. Amazon would refund me, dont buy from this rubbish store.

I bought homebase gloss £15, absolutely terrible, when used went on like a clear film, did return back to homebase but they would refund as the tin was open, do not waste your money

They don't deserve even one star. I have had a terrible experience for five months, and God knows how long I will need to put up with Homebase. In December 2023, I placed a German kitchen, and I have been promised a delivery timeline, which is expected to take up to 6 weeks. However, at the end of January, I received a call with unfortunate news - my kitchen would only arrive in the UK after February 26 and would be delivered curbside. Despised the fact I had in writing from Homebase assuring me it would be delivered inside the flat. On February 28, my kitchen was delivered in the morning. However, upon arrival, the drivers refused to carry the delivery upstairs. To my surprise, the units were damaged, the wrong sizes were delivered, and parts were missing. During the process, we started questioning the absence of the drawer unit. When I tried to return the kitchen due to these issues, I was told that it was against their policy, which was never communicated to me beforehand, even though the kitchen is not of merchantable quality. It took an additional 6-7 weeks to receive the remaining parts of the kitchen, only to find that the wrong colour had been delivered, along with more missing parts. After more than five months of stress and frustration, my kitchen was finally complete at the end of May. In January, I was promised a 10% discount via an email. And now, to add insult to injury, Homebase has offered me a measly compensation of £150 and denied me a 10% discount. Their excuse is that the employee is no longer with the company, and it doesn't matter what I have in writing. It is clear that Homebase takes zero responsibility for its mistakes and does not care about its customers once an order has been placed. On top of that, they will try to intimidate you and blackmail you with a deadline, and if you take this matter further, they will retract this pathetic £150 offer as soon as contact has been made with any third-party dispute scheme. In addition, they proudly told me that my kitchen designer, is no longer with them due to his mistakes. Shame on Homebase for firing your employee and running away from your responsibilities. I urge anyone considering purchasing a kitchen from Homebase to stay away. They will lie to you, make excuses, and refuse to take responsibility for their errors. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service have disgusted and disappointed me. Others must be aware of Homebase's unprofessional and unethical practices regarding kitchen orders. Please do not fall into their trap. If you feel it is right to wait five months for your kitchen, please place an order with them.

Sent me a non working lawnmower and won't answer my complaint or do anything about it. Order no. 576039916. Complaints Dept. only answer in gibberish before putting the phone down. Scam company, avoid at all costs.

Ordered a patio set in store ,after a week we got a text from XPO the delivery people "today is the day of delivery" with a 9.30am delivery time ....3 days later it's still out for delivery, no one knows where it is ... unbelievable

Worst company service ever. Do not use. Failed deliveries twice, they are unable to contact their own logistics company other than by email which may take 3 days. Still no delivery, still no response. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all cost for online orders! Homebase possess a level of incompetence that will not be rivalled in the UK. I ordered 2 sofa beds that was meant to arrive a week after ordering on 23rd May. On the morning of the 23rd I had our old sofas removed to make space for the new ones. After opening the sofas I found both to be the incorrect colour and model! Rang customer services who confirmed the earliest re-delivery would be in another week’s time on the 30th, this despite us currently having no seating in our sitting room and expecting guests over the bank holiday weekend. On the 29th I decided to get in touch with Homepage again as I had received no automated confirmation of the delivery or collection of the old couches, only to be told that there was a delay with the order and it could only be delivered in another week’s time on the 6th of June! I was asked via email what time would suit me for collection of the wrong sofas to which I responded that the earliest available date I would be home was Friday 7 June, but despite this the collection was arranged for the 6th of June anyway… Based on the number of automated communications following this I realise that the problem was not a delay with the delivery, but instead the fact that the customer service agent never booked in the collection or delivery when we spoke on the phone on the 30th as she claimed. I therefore make arrangements to be home on June the 6th for both the delivery and collections. The incorrect sofas were collected in the morning, but upon querying I was told that this team did not have the replacement sofa’s and it might be with a different team. Upon following up over telephone (having had to wait 40 min on hold before reaching an agent), I was informed that they would have to get confirmation and phone me back. Another hour later I received a call which I couldn’t answer at that stage. The agent left a voicemail to inform me that the sofas were not sent to the correct depot and would not be delivered on 6th. Instead they will be sent to the correct depot and be delivered in another week’s time on the 13th of June. I was further informed that I would need to call them back to confirm if the 13th is in order, but the number provided is the same one I previously spent 40 min on hold!!! This will be 3 weeks without any form of seating in our sitting room and having to resort to dining chairs to watch tv… Homebase, how are you even still in business? If you have a single person in your entire organisation with any kind of management experience I would love to get in touch with them to discuss! I am also curious how you are able to a 4.4 rating on trus.tpilot but only 1.9 here?

Bought two sets of Albi Garden furniture. A month after the second set arrived, rust started to appear on the chairs. Homebase refuse to anything about it and say that it is not a manufacturing defect and that it should never get wet. Ever. Really? Perhaps this set should be described as indoor or conservatory furniture rather than garden furniture. Homebase is definitely not what it was. Avoid like the plague.

I would advise anyone thinking of purchasing a kitchen from these Charlatans to join "Homebase UK Complaints" on Facebook first and read. They must be the worst kitchen company in the UK and the after sales team are diabolical. They deny that even goods that are faulty and not fit for.purpose are the customers fault 😡 I've never dealt with such cowboys.

WARNING!! AVOID HOMEBASE KITCHENS AT ALL COSTS!!!! My new kitchen failed to be delivered on time, leaving me without an oven, cooker, washing machine & £450 down due to my fitters cost etc. NEVER AGAIN will I trust Homebase. Your Customer service was nothing short of Appalling and then you tried to pass the buck!. No flexibility to commission another haulage firm to get my kitchen delivered on time and as promised. I'm just hoping the kitchen turns up tomorrow as promised Again! Then it will be 7 days late & left me £450 out of pocket along with stress and anxiety due to Homebases complete incompetence and lack of customer care!. Latest update! Missing parts which I've had source and pay out for, laminate floor boards that came in different thicknesses so would not sit flush to the floor and had to be relayed 3 times at another days lost labour and expense! Basically a pile of junk that most likely won't even last a year. The Rugby store manager confirmed the design / thickness of the boards had changed and been mixed up in store hence the problems!. So angry and disappointed with Homebase its unreal, not one call from the Rugby store apologising, absolutely appalling care and after service!. I reckon I'm around £700 plus the cost of the laminate flooring out of pocket, not to mention the stress and anxiety caused by Homebases ineptness. Im currently waiting on hombases customer service who say they are looking into this shambolic mess, failure on their part to reasinably compensate my losses will lead me to me filing a claim through the small claims court 😡! Dissatisfied, dissapointed and disgruntled is an utter understatement after spending a small fortune with them. Latest update: The customer service person "molley" who claims to represent the CEO is taking no responsibility for sending out mixed thickness packs of flooring. In fact she stated " it should have been clear to me at the point of fitting that the floorings were two different thicknesses and as such the fitting should not have been completed" Excuse me but its your responsibility to sell flooring that is not mixed up and it fit for purpose! As a last resort I've written directly to the Homebase CEO to see if he is willing to see sense here. If not it looks like im going to have take Homebase to court over this absolute abhorant customer service NEVER AGAIN..... You've been warned!

Homebase Westbrook Road Gloucester. Served by Hollie who was not only pleasant but went out of her way to help and advice me. She then asked if I would like help to my car with my compost. The item I bought fits and looks good. I hope she is appreciated at that store.

I'm so disappointed how I been treated over a order that placed courier say delivered but I never received it at all plus when I contacted homebase I got message but that I had £10 for the inconvenience then on next breathe it said refunded you for your missing order part I don't get I can't even track the 2nd part of the order as yodel are supposed to be delivering can't understand both items order from homebase and I'm still waiting for 2nd part and a charge of £6 for deliver really puts you of ordering again when you have to wait for days

Homebase only deliver in my area in London on a Friday or a Saturday. That’s it… they charge £30 for the privilege. I’m in hospital next Friday and the property I’m working in is empty so I can’t be there on Saturday. I know have to wait two weeks and take a day off work. I’m in the property working the rest of the week but, nope can only deliver in a Friday. They treat customers with contempt. Never again.

Ordered online and never received product. Homebase keeps repeating that the supplier say it was delivered to a neighbour when none of my neighbours have received it. Clearly went to wrong address and I have said as much but Homebase is not doing anything to help the situation and isn't giving a refund even though I haven't received a product and as per consumer protection legislation they are responsible for ensuring I receive the product. Absolutely terrible service and then follow up customer service with complete disregard for customers and the responsibility they have as a company.
