Homebase only deliver in my area in London on a Friday or a Saturday. That’s it… they charge £30 for the privilege. I’m in hospital next Friday and the property I’m working in is empty so I can’t be there on Saturday. I know have to wait two weeks and take a day off work. I’m in the property working the rest of the week but, nope can only deliver in a Friday. They treat customers with contempt. Never again.

Wanted to order a £100 Worx Cordless Hedge Trimmer online, but wanted, for my convenience, to collect at my most local store in Greater Manchester. I phoned H.B's customer services, couldn't even hear him - he then passed me through to one of the branches, his phone was equally drifting in and out too, (but apart from that, I really think he should have had his mother with him). Got nowhere on the phone. However, the hedge trimmer looked very good so decided to take the plunge and duly placed the order online to be delivered to my home within 5 days. However, if anything should go wrong with this order, I have a wonderful safeguard...... and that is, I paid by PAYPAL, which means, should I open a "resolution," I don't have to wait for Homebase to decide who was to blame and won't have to feel I'm getting nowhere. PayPal will recover my funds if Homebase fail to deliver, if goods are not as advertised, if discovered item is immediately faulty, or delivered damaged.

I’d arranged delivery of my kitchen to coincide with the kitchen fitter being available, when he checked the delivery there was several pieces missing, the tap was even ordered ! I’ve tried numerous times to contact the store & after several days when I eventually got through to someone only to be told the delivery is going to take a week ! I now have no kitchen for Xmas as the fitter has had to start his next kitchen 😡 Doors that need changing can’t be done as there’s no kitchen consultant at the store ! I won’t be recommending Homebase to anyone else

First bookcase arrived with missing parts - I'm still waiting for the DX delivery people to come and collect it. Third time unlucky today. Disgrace of a courier. Homebase were great at sending me another bookcase, can't fault them. I'm afraid I'll be leaving this repackaged incomplete bookcase in the garden for them to collect!

Dissapointed with quality of product. I know it's cheap furniture, but I didn't expect the oak laminate to peel off the edge of my table after less than a month. Won't be using them as much going forward.

Placed an order March 24th, still waiting. Have been told be X3 different emails I will have it by the end of that week, a further 3 weeks later still no sign. Please do not promise dates you have no way of achieving. I either need my order or refund & will get from elsewhere.

Ordered items last week. Told they were in stock and delivery would be beteen 7 am and 8 pm yesterday. Nothing arrived , no phone call or text. emailed and just get automated reply. don't seem able to cancel order so will have to go to card provider. Useless, have ordered items from B and Q.

Why so long with deliveries?? Order confirmation said within 5 days. Bog standard Dulux/Crown emulsion but delivery was split, 1 item came after 3 days the others I had to chase and told due tomorrow (7 days). Wickes, Toolstation, Screwfix etc etc all deliver next day - why can't Homebase?? These days it's simply not good enough!

Went on line to see if 9 products were available. In the Bath store every single item was out of stock..one of which has been out of stock for 7 months...Obviously as they are closing down they do not feel the need to restock. Must be so frustrating for the staff who are always helpful...

Colbey Bedside Table with Drawer SKU: 512507 Got this bedside table 2 months ago, good looking, not cheap but absorbing liquids so easy. Spilled a little of water over night in the morning found it at this condition. Very disappointed.

Shameful Company, failed to cancel my order with their supplier, the supplier call me for deliver today and no cash back so far!!!!!!!! Rude Customer service, didn't want to help!!!!

Ordered and paid for an item online. Tried to change the order for the same item, same price, different colour. Spoke to customer service assistant who informed me that I would have to cancel the order and a refund would be paid to my card, then re-order the item on the website. So far, so good. Maybe I'm spoilt shopping with online vendors who; A: acknowledge the refund with an email; B: can actually do something really simple like change an item code over the phone and simply change the order. Both of these things seem to be beyond Homebase. I have emailed their online customer service address twice to ask for an acknowledgement of the refund.....so far no reply....no refund. Giving them the benefit of the doubt and will wait another couple of days before I make a complaint and contact my credit card company.

I have been waiting three weeks now for packs of 3 metre coving to be back in stock in the Bath store. It seems that they have no real stock control. But I will say that all the staff are really helpful and are very knowledgable

Wanted to buy tile adhesive and grout. Went online to check if my nearby Homebase had the items available. The result was that there were 8 of each in stock and I promptly made my way to my local store. On arrival, I found the adhesive but NO grey grout having been assured that 8 were available. The help desk checked their stock file which confirmed that they had ZERO. They then checked the website which still said that 8 were available. Retailing with computers is great but only if the inputs are right with no errors. Either 8 have been sold or stolen. You choose. But nobody is going to order more when the system mistakenly shows 8 to be available when they are not. How will I know when this item I want is back in stock if I cannot rely on the website to give me accurate information as I do not want to have another pointless trip

reserved a £60.00 air cooler on line had a message 2 hours later to say it was ready for collection at there Stroud branch. went straight away to collect gave my reservation number assistant wheeled machine out of a cupboard i said i thought it would of been in a box she replied it was a display model i said i wanted one in a box to which she said they had none a supervisor came over & said it had not been used just been on a shelf for 2 weeks i said it was not new but ex display she offered me 10% off i agreed to this but was not entirely happy with the whole episode . on arriving home 9 miles away to discover after reading set up instructions that it should of had a handset i rang the store straight away to be told to return next day & they would look for handset . i did return next day with the machine & said i no longer wanted the display model & wanted money back or a new one in box. while waiting for the manager someone found the handset the manager appeared & said now i had the handset that was it . i said i wanted a new one or refund he said the display model was new despite being quite dusty he said it had been on the shelf for only 2 days ? he eventually got a new one in a box then said he required me to pay the £6 discount back to which i was quite disgusted to his attitude i did not like the way he spoke to me & quickly told him i was willing to continue having a discussion with him as to the whole shoddy way this was being handled to which he snarled you have got what you wanted now just take it & go. ????????????

We visited the Newcastle under Lyme branch to purchase a Barbeque. The member of staff there was very polite and assisted us basicly they did not have the Barbeque we wished to see and purchase but checks revealed the Macclesfield store some 25 miles away did. The member of staff told them we were on our way as they stated they had 3 of the model one being on display. On arrival there was not one on display and nobody seemed to know anything about it or even appeared bothered. The store was a Health and Safety nightmare with boxes,trolleys everywhere. We did purchase at a cost of £250 but you would think they were doing you a favour very poor.

Beware shopping at Homebase,all the prices are going back up and not just by a few pennies.I have noted various items a pound or two dearer than they were.I guess the new owners,Bunnings, faced with a £97M loss in the last six months are trying to recoup from the few Homebase customers that still shop there. Whenever I go in,there are never any tills open,just the returns desk,a very poor shopping experience.
