Ordered a selection of bathroom fittings and furniture for 2 bathrooms. Original order arrived on time as arranged. However one sink was smashed to bits...had absolutely no bubble wrap round it, so not a surprise. Arranged for replacement, and this arrived on time. It seems fine. The other sink purchased has turned out yo be thebwrong one for the furniture though, and doesn't fit properly. Only discovered this when plumber came to fit it 2 weeks ago. So phoned up and was relieved to be advised they would send the correct one, even though it had been several weeks since my original delivery. No things go downhill.... Delivery was arranged for last Friday..my usual day off. "all day slot". So I waited all day. From 8am-8pm. As it never arrived before 6pm and no phone call. I phoned up customer service. They were unable to ecplainwhere my sink was, so I had to phone next morn. They rearranged my delivery for today. I'm at work, so had to ask an elderly family friend to sit in my house all day!!! Got a text that morn saying it would arrive. Then got automated voicemail later in nor saying my.order was delayed and it would arrive by the end of today. Guess what. No delivery, no phone call. Phoned Homebase customer service to ask what happening. Told I had a "failed delivery". The item hadn't been loaded on the van???? Eh? I expressed my irritation and said their communication and service is not good enough. It has now been arranged to be delivered to the local store next Tuesday. I don't hold out much hope...really peed off.

Stay clear of own brand paint, Home of colour, truly shocking stuff.

We made the mistake of ordering a new Kitchen from Homebase. We were cash buyers but we're not told by the Sales Manager that they would want cash up front.We turned up for the final meeting after the fitter had been round and had corrected the errors the salesman had made to be told they wanted paying that day. I did not have the money ready so was talked into a finance arrangement with Barclays Finance. Then had trouble trying to pay it off when the fitter had finished. In addition the the Salesman had ordered twice the number of wall tiles needed and too much flooring, when we took them back we were told we could not have a refund, only a credit due to the finance arrangement. We had been assured by the Sales Manager that all problems would be corrected by the time fitter had finished but not so.Hob did not work properly from day of fitting, now been waiting over a month for replacement. Was promised stock would be in this week, today told it will be at least another week. Sick of ringing their helpline and being promised calls back to let us know what was happening,only had one call back and that was to tell us of another delay.I was given mobile number of Area manager, she does not answer the telephone and does not respond to messages left on her phone. Should not have placed order in first place but kitchen did look nice. Their fitting charge is very expensive and the fitter does not get paid anywhere near what they are charging. The only redeeming feature was that we had a very experienced and competent fitter who did an excellent job. No more Homebase for me.

Ordered an armchair from Homebase. The earliest delivery date they could give us was 2 months away. We decided to book it and now have received a text to say they can't deliver on that date and the next date is another 2 weeks away. We've decided to cancel the order and are now in the process of trying to get a refund as we need to take a trip back to the store to do that in person.

3 weeks for a bed delivery. At £8.95 I would expect it to be a bit sooner

Ordered a kitchen back in 2011, good service at the time, but BEWARE if you have not paid home base direct for everything and I mean everything and have gone with their recommended subcontractor who does fit the kitchen to do extras like flooring , plastering or anything else bewareif there's a problem they will not be interested. Thanks homebase

Beware of them charging for the assembley of schreiber furniture. I did and the assemblers did not turn up as promised, I had to take another day off work so they could come the following day and when they did and opened the boxes, all were pre assembled . £80 I paid as they told me they were flat packed. Beware of this shark practice. Bad company unreliabke and false information given .............avoid

I visited the Hemel Hempstead branch today. The woman on the till was incredibly rude. She kept her back turned towards me throughout the transaction, other than when she swiped the barcodes, even when I left saying 'thanks', (why did I say that!).
