“Gentleman Paul was polite and respectful and attended to my blocked drain in an efficient manner. It was taking some time so, after about 15 minutes worth of flushing the problem drain he reassured me that he was making good progress . Task fully completed aftermarket 30 minutes after which he gave useful advice on ' temperamental ' downstairs toilets. MI may not have even flushing hard enough !

“I purchased the water service line coverage and all was good , I ended up having to make a claim , they sent the 1st contractor who did the leak detection and could not hear anything on the grassy areas and said most likely leak is under garage concrete or driveway, recommend a boring job and refused the job as they are not equipped to boar, 2nd contractor comes and says he’s a one man operation and can’t take on this job and also refused the job. I got two estimates in my own $5250 and $6000 for a new water service line. Homeserve recommended we call back the 1st contractor and to cut the line in the grassy area to determine if leak was on paved side or grassy , it was determined it was on the paved side , Homeserve calls me the next day saying the contact only covers the grass part and nothing paved, i read the contract and no where does it say that, I plan to pay the repair and per their contract I can’t even sue them , but I will have the opportunity to file arbitration of some sort which I fully intend to pursue. “I don't even know where to begin! My recent experience with this service provider has been an absolute nightmare – easily one of the worst encounters I've ever had.
Here's the breakdown of what happened:
Multiple Cancellations: The gas engineer cancelled on me not once but twice on the day of the appointment and once even on the day before. This level of unreliability is completely unacceptable.
Refusal to Refund: Despite the engineer failing to show up, they have outright refused to reimburse the total amount of cover I paid for. It's mind-boggling how they can justify keeping my hard-earned money for a service I never received.
Unfulfilled Promises of Compensation: To add insult to injury, they promised me compensation three weeks ago, but I have yet to see a penny of it. It's beyond frustrating to be given empty promises and then left hanging.
Endless Runaround: Every time I try to follow up on my refund or compensation, I'm met with excuses. Either the person I need to speak with is conveniently "unavailable," or I'm told they need to conduct a "full investigation" into the matter. A refund shouldn't require a full-blown investigation – it's a simple matter of reimbursing what is owed.
Overall, I am utterly disappointed and dissatisfied with the level of service (or lack thereof) I've received. It's clear that this company has no regard for customer satisfaction or basic professionalism.
I urge anyone considering their services to think twice and look elsewhere for a reliable and reputable provider.”
